We had our lunch at Khorak Mahal today and it turned out to be a really good experience. First of all the place is quite big to cater a lot of people. There are two halls with multiple floors and then there are 9 private huts for families to have lunch or dinner. Coming towards food, it was great in taste and quality. They offer a wide variety of food and we tried almost 5-6 different menu items and all items were well cooked, tasty and were served in time. The place is clean with good service and also has substantial parking space. Overall a great experience indeed. Highly recommended if you're a visitor and want to try special dishes of the KPK region.

19 Feb 2016. Experience the culinary simplicity of authentic Afghan cuisine. The kitchen and it's called cleanliness standard would put most households to shame. The food is cooked in homegrown herbs and no condiments bought from the market. 12 Nov 2022. Khorak Mahal was and is the he palace of great food. The same unadulterated no frills no nonsense great tasting food. Their Tikka is just heavenly. The hygiene standards would put kitchens at homes to shame.

Tried their afghani tikka, rosh, seek kebab, dir kulcha, kabuli pulao and custard dessert. Exceptional taste. Suitable for families.

While travelling on motorway to Kalam Swat its 9.2 km from motor interchange toward the batkhela side ie opposite to Kalam Swat Road. The food quality was excellent but a bit expensive keep in view the servings deals. The space available with hotel is quite enough to accommodate a lot of arrivals. Separate Cabins are build for the family's. The hotel is located at bit peaceful place. The hotel is neat and clean. The missing thing in the hotel is proper trained staff. We sit their for a while requesting the staff to clean the table which take approximately 10 minutes which is a serious issue in hotel business.

Great food with a nice place to sit. I would recommend visiting this place if you like kabuli pulao and afghani tikkahs.

Great Food in khoraak Mahal. The prices were high because the service quantity was too low 🥲 Although the quality of food was amazing. Tried The Afghani Tikkay, Pulao, Fried Beef etc and it was great.

Food is simple and best. Tikka and soup best . Sweet dish and green tea . Price is cheap as compared to quality. Healthy food without spices.

To find out a good food option near Malakand motorway enrty is not easy, because there are dozens of road side restaurants. My son recommended Khorak mahal, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Though general cleanliness was not very good but the separate family parking, decently optimized family cabins were the best you can find in rood side restaurants. The thing which matters most is food. No doubt, the best food we had during our whole trip to Swat was here while we were returning. Food taste is excellent, we had Mutton pulao, roash and Afghani boti, lobia, all were awesome in quality and quantity. Naans were soft and very yummy. Highly recommended if you are here for tor or travel.

Came here in 2013 and loved their food. Just tried again in 2021 and they have maintained and grown their operation.

Amazing food, fast service, nice seating arrangements for groups, individuals and families. Best in the area. Afghani Mutton Seekh kebabs were amazing. Best items. Namkeen Gosht. Afghani tikka. The place will be moving close to motorway interchange. Best place to have food on way to & from Swat. 6 km out of the way but worth it. Call them & place order so that the food be ready by the time you reach the place

We were traveling long from chitral towards Mardan, a person recommend us this place then we stopped here for dinner. I found the food taste was good and their service was kind of slow. But the ambiance was great. Good place to bring family and kids.

I recently visited Khurak Mahal restaurant and had a generally positive experience. The food was delicious, showcasing a variety of flavors that left a lasting impression. It's my 2nd visit to this restaurant, I was here in November 2019 and now I visited again on 18th August 2023... The seating arrangement is the best, The kitchen is neat and clean... The quality and taste of food is excellent as it was then in 2019.. Above all, the behaviour of the staff and owner of the restaurant is caring.. Highly recommended to the quality food lovers....

Sumptuous food at Chakdara with lots of variety of BBQ, afghani boti, kababs, rosh and special kulcha. The family rooms were clean and service was on spot. Would like to visit again.

Their pulao and tikkas are famous but I want everyone to give at the least one try to their mutton kharhai I bet you'll be in love of it after that.

I really loved the food of Khorak Mehal, especially its Tikka and Polaow. I would like to recommend it to all 10/10 service. The only problem I faced was that their female toilet was very far from the sitting area. Otherwise its perfect.

Half cooked Namkeen Karachi and tikka boti. Average taste. We just went there due to name and rating but pathatic food. Don't waste yohr time and money.

Honestly Disappointed in the service, I went with my family. We ordered Chawal, Rosh, Dampokht, Tikka. All of the traditional Eatery Dampokht was good in taste. Tikka was cold, even after getting it warm. It came out same Chaawal was also very cold, there was hardly any Gosht in it

Best option for dinner, especially guests coming from others areas. Location wise it's very best for dinning and having a short time stay, like an hour or two. Costs are not too much high as well, and the best about this place is the cleanliness and better staff.

Food standard is maintained over a pd of many years. The best thing is the independent family pods which amply suits the local environment. Families can sit in peace and relax. It is located near chakdara interchange on the swat expressway.. They also have plans to shift it adjacent to the same interchange. The staff is friendly and service is swift. Prayer area and abolution facility is available separately for ladies and gents. Recommended

Service is good, food is delicious. Access is very easy. Washrooms in pretty reasonable condition. Lots of parking available and nice family huts available to sit and enjoy meal in privacy. Facilities available inside hit to wash hands. Must go to this place!

Wonderful food, good service. Nothing fancy but serves the purpose. Traditional food, traditional seating like a palang with tables. Very well thought out family cabins. Good experience overall.
