A contradictory visit. I need to start by saying all the staff were friendly and helpful, seemed pretty knowledgeable and definitely to care for all the creatures. The aquarium was pretty clean and the tanks all seemed pretty well looked after except for a couple. Of course all the creatures were amazing and it was great to see them all. There were a couple of issues though. Considering this sea life is owned by Merlin, the place looked a bit dishevelled, underfunded and in need of a bit of upgrading. The price did seem pretty steep given the size of it, honestly when we left we weren't sure if we'd missed a part of it! In comparison to other aquariums I've been to, this was fairly underwhelming unfortunately which is a shame considering all the staff seemed keen to make it such a good place. It's understandable in the location that it is, it would be difficult to expand the building much. With a bit of TLC and some funding, this place could be really something, especially in such a great location.

The penguins were mostly hiding and when it was feeding-time they were not hungry, so not much of a show, but staff was very friendly. We liked best the game room where you could draw a fish and post it on a digital wall. The fish? Well, the pools are too small, most things here are too small to be impressive. Visit is done in less than an hour.

Lots of fish, love the jelly ones. Didn't get to see the otters that day but overall was a nice aquarium with a lot of information as well.

The variety of marine life is impressive although it turned out smaller than I expected. The penguins & otters are the star attractions, a good place to spend half a day with the kids. A suggestion would be to have the recreation area (kids painting, coffee machines, etc.) somewhere halfway instead of right at the start so that people can take a break and continue further.

We went on a Sunday afternoon in December and loved it. Contrary to other times it wasn't too crowded and the staff was really welcoming and came towards the kids to involve them. Should be noticed, this place is particularly kids-friendly, which initially led me to believe that an adult was going to be bored. I was wrong. The collection of species is massive, the tanks and inhabitants are well cared for, healthy, the aquarium design is done with taste. A lot of sitting place beside aquariums, so one can spend many an hour discovering fish behaviours or simply appreciate the beauty of it. The place is very conveniently connected to a cafe and the food was amazing. I recommend planning to spend around 2-3 hours in this place. The location is great, so it makes a refreshing addition to your regular day at the beach.

I used to come here as a young kid in the 90s and loved the place, today I went back for the first time and was so impressed. The enclosures are huge and so well kept, the animals look healthy and happy and the staff are great too, they take the time to have a chat with you and teach you interesting things. As I visited couple of sea life centres, the fish species were not much surprising to me anymore. However, the more I apprecieate I still had a good time with friends thanks to the beautiful indoor decoration which drew me in. Being able to touch a real, life anemone was amazing! Also, we, adults, had a lot of fun in a room for kids where you can pick a drawing of a fish, colour it by yourself, scan it and then it appears swimming among other fish on the projected wall. 👍👍👍 There are penguins 🐧 and otters 🦦 as well, which was nicely surprising. Staff people were really kind and helpful. 🌟 We arrived 30 minutes later than our ticket was booked, however, it was not problem at all. Big thumb up to all the people behind it!
