The Central Library is the only place I love to revisit time after time. I love the light captured in the building as well as the content on offer. The library has language meet ups for non Dutch speakers. It also has guests talking about their literary works. The reading room is a perfect place to do homework and people watch. It has a beautiful view of the Nieuwekerk and China Town. This library offers books in many languages and also has a sheet music collection for most instruments and voice. Videos and audiobooks are available for check out. The only downside is the pay toilets that only take coins.

Well, if you are looking for a place where you want to study pr work in quiet and clean space, this is it Also, it's a good starting point for those who want to learn Dutch language, they have groups and sessions where you can learn the language, and they also have a help desk where you can get help and get your questions answered I would recommend it for everyone here

Clever reuse of the library space, think of this place not so much as a library but more as a study / quiet space.

overall a nice place to study with quiet areas and you can eat food and drink which i appreciate as a studious woman who needs a little pick me up on occasion! but was not happy when they started loudly drilling and doing construction when people were trying to work!

Absolutely outstanding library! It is super big, with plenty of room, and also very well organized, so that there is both space to work together with colleagues on a project, or go to a silent area to study by yourself. The library also has really friendly staff, and also sometimes interesting events.

First public library in my life that I see a for-pay toilet (dirty too). If someone goes to study at the library every day that's 10€ a month to be able to go to the toilet. All toilets on other floors except the 1st, even 4 floors above, are locked and unaccessible.

They are restoring it now, but they still keep some floors open. There is a really big variety of books and it has a simple to use system of borrowing books. If you are under 18 you can borrow books for free.

Unfortunately I faced a Racist Act by the Muslim β˜ͺ️ receptionist. A man who says is working there for 25 Years!!! I think because I wear a David's Star necklace! ✑️ I write a complaint on the website and I'll sue him. Regardless of my bad experience, this Library is brilliant. β™₯️

The library offers a wide variety of services and resources, my favorite aspect is the conversation group that meets every Tuesday. Additionally, the space to study Dutch with volunteers has been incredibly helpful in my language learning journey. I have been able to learn so much about the culture and language here, and I am grateful for the opportunity. The staff and volunteers are all incredibly friendly and helpful, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this library to anyone looking to improve their language skills or simply enjoy a welcoming and enriching environment

Wonderfully quiet place for studying, especially on the 5th floor. There is a printer you can use (in exchange for money of course) and also a small cafe at the entrance.

It's definitely a well stocked and planned public Library. Even though the English language books are limited, you will definitely find some treasures here. Also the staff is super friendly and go out of their way to help you. I definitely credit them for helping me get back to my love for reading. Also if you have just moved to the Hague, you usually get the first year annual membership free! Don't miss out on this opportunity right in the middle of the City Centre.

I am not going to speak about the books and the wide range of topics it spans. Or even the vast space it occupies. It is very well organized. The ambiance is pretty good. The Dutch learning groups is another highly distinguished service it offers to help expats master the Dutch language and be more oriented towards the Dutch community. In this connection I have to refer to the learning material that is offered to the speakers of many other languages.

Nice library with good coffeeshop and very friendly staff. Has everything you need at affordable prices. They offer free membership for everyone who just moved to The Hague, which is really nice way to welcome new people to the city.

Good place to work, especially if you are unproductive at home. There's also a cafe downstairs with nice stuff, in case you would get hungry πŸ˜‰

Massive collection of books in a spacious building in the centre of Hague. They also have sheet music from the Royal Conservatory for the classical music enthusiasts out there.

Pros: + good location + spacey (multiple floors), therefor not to crowded + has free wifi + good working hours Cons: - Doesn't have free toilet/WC. Even worse, there are no such comforts anywhere nearby. So if you don't have or don't use physical money - you can as well take a dump straight in your pants. Minus 2 stars for that, for this clearly destroys the pleasure of reading.
