You come here for the cakes and the huge hearty breakfasts the coffee and the friendly staff. I’ve been coming here for almost 2 decades and I have never written a review. I always thought that everyone would just walk past and look at the cakes and dive on in which is exactly what I do. On having said that the cakes are absolutely better to taste than they look and the breakfast will fill you up all day. Highly recommend

Tried the red velvet cake today but unfortunately this one didn’t taste as good as it looked. Should have gone for the heavenly peanut butter cheesecake Latest Picked up the mars bar to take home after dinner nearby. Staff advised to warm it up in the microwave and I was not disappointed by it’s melty gooey deliciousness Recent Opening hours may have shortened to 11pm, the cupcakes, macarons and tarts may be gone but the cake selection is as plentiful as ever and there’s even been a bit of an interior refurb. I went for the Nutella cheesecake despite being white heavily tempted by the chocolate Mars Bar. There are so many varieties I’m inclined to try one every day until I’ve discovered my favourite. Staff are lovely too Update A colleague brought an orange and lemon cake in for her birthday today which I absolutely loved. Stupid me somehow only took a photo of the box and not the cake which is really disappointing as it looked phenomenal. More importantly it tasted utterly delicious and being fruit based was not overly sweet. Thoroughly recommend Original review I LOVE THIS PLACE. Every type of delicious cake imaginable, macarons, slices absolutely all bases of yumminess covered. Muffin? Doughnut? Freakshake? Cupcake? BAKLAVA? You name it they've got it and it's all tasty AF. The windows are so packed with vibrant delights they will make your mouth water. Choosing between the 20 plus cakes on display is always a challenge so best to take a friend or two so you can share a variety of options. An institution that makes all its own cakes (when was the last time you went somewhere that makes all its own cakes?!?!) and I have never had a bad experience in all my many post dinner visits. The toffee popcorn cheesecake is 🙌🏼 and best of all they are opened until midnight every day of the week so can satisfy your sweet cravings all night long

I have been coming here for decades. Refurbished in 2020. It is so fresh here. Same owners, so great atmosphere and history continues unabated. Great menu selections, and functions catered for too. You'll ❤️ it!

Came here for dessert and this place does not disappoint. We had the vanilla slice and the cherry ripe cake. They were so good. Could go another right now. Staff are super friendly and make you feel really welcomed. Definitely a must if you are in the South Melbourne area. Cakes and slices are the best

The cakes in the window all look amazing. My husband had the carrot cake and I had the Lotus gateau. Both very nice, only suggestion for improvement could be to add an icing layer to the carrot cake to balance the textures. But otherwise it was great! Total cost for 2 slices of cake and 2 coffees = $38.32

Sweet tooth heaven! There’s no way you can walk by this place and not be left wanting. A massive display window with fresh cakes on offer. Went with a little different with my Cherry Ripe chocolate cake choice - no regrets. It was delicious and warmed up! Plenty of drink options inside too

This place has so many kind of cakes! The coffee is also nice, especially it is made by friendly barrista. There are plenty of seats and clean. Good location with easy parking. Myself and my friends really enjoyed the hospitality. Thank you.

Found this deli while exploring Melbourne which isthe home of divine cakes and pasties made fresh on premise. The cakes were fresh, light balanced and so delicious!

Terrific ambience, relaxed atmosphere and excellent customer service to make you feel at home, this eatery will be able to accomodate to your needs at various times of the day (even breakfast is available until 6pm each day!). The breakfast I had was a work of art (Black Forest pancakes), pride is certainly taken to ensure satisfaction 👍🏼

Waiting for the tram and stumbled past this lovely cafe.. the cake display drew us in and the customer service and ambiance and made us stay. Beautiful desserts, coffee & juices. Can’t wait to come back
