Stylish bar and eatery just a stone’s throw from Melbourne international airport (8min drive). Big outdoor beer garden area with a bbq/fire pit and chic interior with plenty of space. The daily happy hours are great value. I wasn’t expecting much given it’s tacked onto a Hyatt in the middle of nowhere- but it is a fantastic spot to grab a bite and a drink. Speedy service, bright airy lay out and the most beautiful French fries I’ve had in the southern hemisphere. That lemon mustard mayo was superb! I had an Aperol spritz that was equally lush (only a $10er from 4-7pm) and enjoyed the calming vibes. Highly recommend pitching up here before or after a flight.

We had a lunch gathering for a celebration for my son. It was absolutely perfect. I honestly could.not fault them. Everyone had a main each and we shared a few pizzas, fries and bread. All our guests were amazed by the food and friendliness of staff. Food is a 10/10 Service 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10

Caught surprised by the pizza! The pizza dough and crust are to die for! It is freaking good! Will come back for sure. The pizza topping selection is big too! the wagyu gnocchi is okay, but the texture of the gnocchi is amazing The service could have been better but overall it is a pleasant experiences!

As you can see from the photo, the food is precisely as it shows on the menu. Fairly priced, beautifully presented and delicious. We had the Gnocchi, a Risotto and this Chocolate raspberry tart. If you’re here for a conference, don’t order room food, come to the restaurant

My friends and I came for birthday celebration today. We are impressed by the atmosphere, food and friendiness of the staffs here. The baby barramundi is just perfect with its crispy skin. The steak is cooked with the level we want (medium rare) which is perfect and mouth watering. We love the cocktails that the lady recommended to us. Overall, we are very satisfied with the lunch today. We will probably come back very soon for another occasion.

I recently visited yesterday and was thoroughly impressed by the attentive and welcoming staff. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the bar person went above and beyond to ensure that nothing wasn't too much trouble.

Restaurant was fully booked but we were offered a large table at the bar area (for 8 50+ ladies) which was much nicer and very comfy! We also ventured outside - also lovely ambience out there. Food was delicious! And service was prompt and professional!

A beautiful establishment right from the moment you walk into those beautiful double doors. The decor and ambience was lovely. Staff members are friendly and our food came out fast. We had a pram with us and gave us ample space to place it near our table while we enjoyed some delicious food. I have already booked Mr McCracken again for a lunch in March!

Good cocktails and nice food! We ate at the pub section as the restraunt is SUPER busy/popular. Whilst it's attached to a hotel, seems to be a popular locals choice too. There was a live band also but as we had great weather (& kids with us), sitting outside was nice - we even enjoyed a lovely sunset! Give it a whirl.

My bestie and i had our first post Covid catch up last night at Mr McCracken and boy were we blown away! We shared the Salmon Ceviche and Beef Tartere and they were mouthwatering! For main we shared the Pork Belly and the Humpty Doo Barramundi which was so satisfying we just couldnt finish it. On first glance we were disappointed the pork belly wasnt crackled but wow was it full of flavour. With no room for dessert we took our wine to the bar and stayed for another hour catching up on the year that was 2020. Every member of staff we spoke with was so friendly and accomadating, they certainly know the seasonal menu well and made it easy to choose with their advice. Both of us can not wait to come back, thankyou!

Best NYE dinner. Lovely staff and great setting topped with amazing food. Special note to the open kitchen where all the staff worked as a great team, no yelling or chaos, just everyone doing their bit was amazing to watch their craft as they assembled our meals.

Great place for catch-ups, with music, drinks and wonderful atmosphere. The food at the restaurant was good, although the spaghetti with prawns was a little over cooked. Overall a great place.

We had heard great things about Mr McCracken so booked to celebrate a birthday on a Monday evening. We found the restaurant so loud that we couldn't have a conversation and it was difficult for the staff to hear our orders, and left with slight headaches from the noise. Given the price, the food was disappointing. We ordered the gnocchi and the prawn & clam linguine amongst other dishes. The gnocchi was burnt and a bit dry. Be careful if ordering the linguine - it was full of small and not so small bits of clam shells which can crack your teeth. On the up side, the cocktails were very nice, hence the 2 stars.

It was a great place to dine ! We’ve been here multiple times and the food is always spectacular! The beef tartare is always such a wonderful dish and the mushroom risotto ! So delicious! Can’t wait to come and dine again 😊😊

Awesome place to met up without having to go all the way to the CBD! Pizzas and gnocchi is beautiful and expresso martinis complete the dining experience! Finished lunch and head over to the bar for some more delicious cocktails! Bar staff are friendly too which added to the already buzzing atmosphere of the bar.

Went to an event here and it was great, very good food, the mini gnocchi were surprisingly very good and the bar by which they are compared to is very high as I'm spoilt with home made. The staff were fantastic, friendly always at hand and constantly delivering and clearing but never in the way. For me the range of beers was very much to my liking. Great place, I'd like to go back again.

I had the spaghetti with Prawns and truffle. Awesome flavours, I wish I had some sour doe to soak up the leftover sauce. I have only a couple of critiques. Don't cut the Prawns into small pieces. They were also a little overcooked, a bit rubbery. Please don't cut the spaghetti into small pieces. Half the joy of spaghetti is winding it up on the fork. The taste was fenominal. I would try it again.

Really trendy looking venue. Couldn’t fault the food and the staff were really friendly. Food came out relatively fast and I was impressed because two of our party were late and they still did a good job to bring the entrees out pretty close together considering they ordered after us. The croquettes lived up to the hype.

I ordered the 250g PORTERHOUSE, cooked to perfection, tasted very nice, but seriously, $45 for that small portion? You could have thrown in some greens. Even the BABY BARRAMUNDI $37 for such a small portion of food is overpriced for a bar style place. Not very value for money. Definitely will not be going back there.

We had a really lovely dinner with my son , who had some food allergies. The waitress was so lovely and kitchen staff provided all the information we needed in terms of ingredients in the food etc. We often feel uncomfortable when we go out dining because of the questions we have regarding food (due to my sons allergies ) but the staff made us feel welcome and happy. Definitely going back!

I had lunch with my work team of four at Mr McCracken. The staff were friendly and attentive and we all agreed the meals were delicious. It was great to enjoy each other's company mask free and eat good food. A great experience just hours before lockdown 6.0 was announced - feeling lucky.

My fiancé and I had planned our wedding on the 5th, however had to post pone. So we thought we would treat ourselves and pretend we were on a mini honeymoon. Sounds cheesy but for the time we spent at the restaurant it felt like we were celebrating something really special. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and had an amazing experience. I particularly liked the atmosphere and vibe, felt like I was in the heart of the CBD. Food was yummy and presented so well. I would recommend the pork belly and polenta chips. Parking was easy and location so close to home. Blown away! Went here today for lunch whilst in the area on a whim. I can honestly say that I was blown away by the food, so delicious! Lovely setting also with modern dining and casual dining area, great staff and ambiance.

Came here for my birthday dinner with my family and we were all very impressed by the interior of the restaurant and the very professional and friendly staff. The food was absolutely amazing. I always order croquettes when I see some on a menu, and the croquettes here were to die for - some of the best I've had! Portion sizes and all the other food was great, and the white choc passionfruit martini was so delicious that I had to order a second one for dessert! It was great to have a higher-end dining experience closer to home rather than having to venture into the CBD. My family will be back again for the next special occasion.

Already planing my next visit back! Let’s start with the food, Prawn Pasta was to die for, the sauce was like something from buttery heaven. We also had the risotto and gnocchi & the spicy salami pizza with honey? Omg incredible. The venue: gorgeous ambiance & I really liked our waiter for the night he was inviting and just so lovely Only got a photo of my mead, regret not snapping the others!

We had a fantastic dinner for four at Mr McCracken. Both the service and food were top notch. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. We ordered a wide selection of meals across the menu. All were very tasty. The stand out dish for me was the Tiger Prawn Spaghetti. Will definitely be back again.

This is my go to to meet my friends as it’s central for all of us. We love it. The food is always great , great wine list and the staff are excellent, very friendly and accommodating. I’ve not had a bad experience yet. Don’t come here if you want a quiet dinner for 2 as it can get quite busy and noisy with large conference groups that use the hotel conference facilities. Other than that it’s excellent.

I love this place! Fancy food in a fancy setting - though we only sit outside, we can see how nice it is inside! Very spacious outdoor area with QR codes on each table so you view the menu, order and pay online. So easy. Staff are all super friendly. The male host is charming and has an amazing memory! My go to for the best steak tartare and salmon ceviche.

I took my husband to Mr McCracken after attending 2 weeks prior at my work Christmas party. Absolutely loved the food. It’s a great place and delicious food. I have been telling everyone about it and will definitely be going back. (There is so much more food I need to try) The service is great also. Very friendly staff.

Absolutely in love with this place! We were interested in booking for our son's baptism, so thought we would come to dinner to try it out first. Really enjoyed this venue with the family. Decor was lovely, the food was delicious and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. One of the food items ordered took a little longer to come out, so they gave us a complimentary side dish. We did not expect this and thought it was a really wonderful gesture! Another wonderful experience at Mr Mac! We arrived to a very friendly welcome, checked in and moved right on to the bar for some pre-dinner drinks while the music played setting the scene. Friendly bar staff provided our quality drinks as we caught up and happily chatted. Then we moved into the dining room and was again warmly welcomed. The service while very attentive wasn’t intrusive and we were left to chat and enjoy our celebrations and catch up as our drinks and delicious food seemed to magically arrive. We had a great night and the time flew. Thanks so much for providing our special group with such a wonderful place to gather while eating and drinking the best with great friendly service!! Incorrectly placed a booking online yesterday for Sunday lunch but selected the wrong Sunday. A week earlier. They charged my credit card due to no show. Contacted restaurant and told them of the error when I saw my credit card charged. I requested if the fee could be credited and my booking to proceed as per the date I intended to visit. No refund though. I understand this is my fault but a bit of good will and Christmas spirit would be nice. Ill just have to give an another place a CRACK now.

Very impressive venue, nice atmosphere and I loved the open kitchen. My favourite dish was the ragu. Really flavoursome dish but I have to say everything was delicious. The cocktails were amazing the white chocolate and passionfruit was a standout.

My partner and I had dinner in the restaurant on Sunday night. We ordered the chicken breast and the pork. Both meals were superb. We ate half of one and then swapped. It was impossible to choose which was better. We finished off with the Bailey's chocolate cheesecake........amazing. The staff were excellent - very helpful, polite and happy. It was a great experience and we can't wait to go back.

Visited Mr. McCracken as an alternative to CBD for drinks and dinner with work colleagues post COVID lock down. Great find in great location. Great drinks, food was fantastic, service informative and efficient. Would love to visit on a warm summers evening as lots of interesting outdoor seating and open air seating.

Went here last weekend with some girlfriends and had a delicious lunch. The prawn and clam linguini was absolutely flavourful - it had the right balance of chilli in it which meant it wasn’t spicy. The panna cotta was also nice although nothing amazing. The restaurant itself was a good setting and in covid times had spaced out tables appropriately. Will definitely be back.

Arranged a large pre Xmas dinner for 16. Had a great time. Food, wine, service were all of a high quality. I even managed to handle the virtual menu!
