A great taco shop with a street-side countertop and additional picnic seating with cover. The tacos were really good, especially the al pastor with the avocado cream. The carne asada left something to be desired—it was a bit rare for my taste. The salsa was super good, though. Quick and simple spot with authentic Tijuana street tacos. It’s also very cheap.

Tacos are expensive and they taste okay. They're not the greatest.

I came here for lunch today. I had the asada, cabeza and lengua tacos. The best by far were the asada tacos. The cabeza and lengua were not as tasty. The asada torts was amazing!!!! Tacos were 27pesos, torta was 65, and sodas were 27 a piece. FYI They only take cash. Will defend make a pit stop for asada tacos and torta next time!!!!

By far the most memorable tacos of our whole trip, we ordered 4 pastor tacos, which were AMAZING. We got bar seats right in front of the spit meat. Greeted and served by the taco barista who managed the spit roast. He was super friendly and prompt, we threw in a tostado which was dry and stale so I’d avoid it at all cost. The smell alone from the meat was tantalizing. The juices and accompaniments paired perfectly together, had a little heat to it but delicious overall. I will mention, service from the cashier who seemed to be the owner was absurd. He was just a jerk, he saw us coming to close the bill and literally walked off without a word. Then seeing as we’re VERY foreign, we tried our best to communicate but he had a very off putting attitude. Thankfully a local was there to guide our way through. Tacos were bomb, service from him left a terrible impression. There's a ton of other locations which we’d happily visit instead.

This place is trying to charge Cali prices, $35 for 6 tiny tacos. They definitely have different tourist and local prices. If you're white passing you'll want to avoid going here. Theres much better places that will appreciate your patronage and not take advantage of you.

Server was very dumb and tried to scam us..Slow service (odd for a taqueria) and waiter also tried to charge us more than we ordered (way more). Lucky we had taco papers to prove he was wrong.

Beware of the prices. Ask how much is every item before paying. They would charge you extra money. Specifically the girl in the register. She didn't want to give me a copy of my recieve when I asked for was they charge me so much.

(Translated by Google) We arrived because we were very hungry, starting with the waiter's bad face, then with the super small tacos and casiques I expected more for the price 2 tacos we ate each one and better we went to look for tamales downtown 🤭😋 there are better cheaper tacos and best reported, first and last time I go 🤷‍♀️ (Original) Llegamos porque teníamos mucha hambre empezando con la mala cara de la mesera, después con los tacos súper pequeños y casiques esperaba más por el precio 2 tacos nos comimos cada quien y mejor nos fuimos a buscar tamales al centro 🤭😋hay mejores tacos más económicos y mejor reportados ,primera y última vez que voy 🤷‍♀️

This is a gem in Tijuana. If you are in town do yourself a favor and make sure you go eat. Its yummi, affordable, and you pay when your done. Fresh corn tortillas as well.

Great flavor for tacos had the Carne, Adobada, and Cabeza. Quite a few people serving us, helpful and decently fast service. No issues with food or service. My reasons for the 4 stars would be allowing passerby sellers to approach you while you eat and will not leave you alone.

Lacking love & flavor. Small variety of meats available to choose from, we were also served burnt over cooked meat. I requested extra salsa to add flavor and it was still bland. I would expect 5 star tacos in T.J. I've had better tacos at the San Diego locations

Good prices, friendly staff, but slow service. We were on the terrace, which was just the rooftop, over the second floor balcony diving room, but we had a partial ocean view. Seemed like the terrace was lower priority than the diving room or the balcony. We didn't mind so much since we were in a group and having fun socializing. The price on the special was great... Six lobster tail halves (small), lobster tortilla soup, rice, beans, hand-made flour tortillas and an alcoholic beverage for $16 USD. We ordered two specials and three of us feasted on fresh lobster for $32.

It sits right across the Mercado Hidalgo. A famous outdoor merchant/ swapmeet. Which makes it convenient for those wanting to go shopping after eating. The tacos are good and so is the customer service Lots of people from the US go there. Apparently this is one of 3 other locations in Tijuana. Highly recommend eating here if you love tacos. But.... you can't go wrong with street tacos either

Asada was flavorless and dry. You don’t get salsa options. Pastor was better. Definitely not the best tacos and very expensive. 680 pesos for 3 sodas, and 10 tacos for 3 people. I wouldn’t eat here again.

Tacos here are great! If you're looking for a good carne asada taco with guac this is the place. All the fixings and soda drinks you expect to see in a Mexican taco shop. The staff is nice and attentive to your needs. I'm definitely coming back to this spot next time I'm in Tijuana.

This taco chain started here in Tijuana, now in San Diego and Las Vegas. We always make it a point to stop and indulge in some delicious tacos. Cesso, Ohio's, and the regular favorites, carne asada, carnitas, al pastor and lingua.

Got there around 9pm and they were out of 2 meats, we changed our order and the girl waiting on us got our orders all wrong more than 3 times! We had to go to the back and get our drinks ourselves because no one ever brought us our drinks. It took well over 30 minutes for us to finally get the our tacos. This place wasn't busy as other taco establishments and they still couldn't get anything right. I have been to other tacos el Gordo in tijuana and they have been great but this place lacks taste, customer service and management skills. Will never return again

👍 Delicious seafood, as always. The classic is the "Mazateña" taco, which is a sautéed shrimp quesadilla. Pulpo (octopus) tacos are also great. They do not sell alcohol and are a cash only place. They have restrooms and parking is on-street.

👍👍 You will not be disappointed!!. great meat cuts and salads for a very reasonable price. The downside is that it is always crowded since this is all you can eat meat at a very low price and the service sometimes is not as expected specially on special holidays ( do not visit on mother's day please!)...
