Internationals are treated worse than rats in here, at least rats have place to live. Student office takes 3-4 days to reply to a simple request. Before the start of pre-master, it was promised that the lectures will be on campus, which in reality, there were only couple of lectures there. Lectures are pre-recorded, most of them are reused from last year. Overall, unorganized, waste of time with a lot of fake people smiling to your face while in their head they really don't want you there. Compared to my bachelors experience, Tilburg university deserves no stars.

Nice quiet campus during holiday time. Lots of trees. Library is a great place to study as well as the CUBE. And nice to have the restaurant in Esplanade. As well as Mensa. For being a cafรฉ on campus ... the prices are very reasonable.

University offered both online and offline studying of master's program, but in reality it was completely online with a couple of lectures in hybrid way after one month of the beginning. It's not clear why uni can't tell it honestly and make you come and be homeless because city has shortage of houses and both landlords and dutch students prefer only dutch.

It has good courses, but it is a somewhat old fashioned institution in that it wants to do everything face to face. The administration is an absolute mess. For example: their schedules are always fluctuating and have no consistency from one week to another, which makes it difficult to find a good job while you study. They also use up more hours all over the week than necessary so two courses end up taking time in four days of the week. Communication could be better too. The campus is clean and the people working there are generally friendly, with plenty of spaces to study and eat. There are no food places open for dinner, though.

I was excited about applying to Tilburg University, considering they offer interesting study programs and they claim to focus not only on knowledge but also shaping character and soft skills. I visited the University and was also impressed by the location, aesthetics of the buildings and the surroundings. However all of this became confronted with the fact that my skills, education to date etc as a mature student was considered insufficient to be eligible for the Master's program directly but rather it was suggested that I participate in a preparatory 6 month course first. I find it difficult to understand, considering I already have a Master's degree, plus 14 years of professional experience in highly prestigious organisations. Their justification of their decision was my subjective responses to their questionnaire about knowledge of some statistical concepts. I would understand if it was backed up by formal entry examination that would show the actual level of my knowledge of these concepts. It is of a huge dissonance for me how this decision has been made and in that case who is worthy to study for the Master's Degree immediately, without the preparatory 6-month course first if a person with one Master's Degree and 14 years of professional work experience isn't.

Itโ€™s an amazing university. The buildings are modern and comfortable, people are supportive, and the campus is surrounded by lots of green! Its study programs and research are among the best in Europe and the world.

I was thinking of sending my daughter to this university. but after reading the comments i don't think this is a good idea at all. In the 21st century, discrimination against international students in a European Union country is unacceptable. I hope the school administrators are reading these comments.

Loved it in '01 and still loving it now: campus= green, a forest close by, tightknit community, and a supermarket with Starbucks coffee. Campus continuous to grow with new buildings and student dorms education= the best in the Netherlands and one of the best in Europe. Especially in the disciplines of Economics and marketing

I came here to do a premaster after having done a bachelor at a HBO (applied science). Let me tell you the disappointment. The teachers don't care about the students, they treat you like numbers. They barely explain anything, reluctantly answer questions and then expect you to know everything. They also flood you with assignments and useless readings. Even though the curriculum is focused on design there is barely any practice. I could have learned all this by myself in a month. Overall terrible university. Don't recommend

Horrible institute. Seems that they try to make everything as difficult as humanly possible, bad services, horrible management. 3 months into studying here and I HATE it. I will ace my degree and the studies, no worries, but i will forever regret being a part of this horrible university.

(Translated by Google) Met interesting people here, the one because they are, the other because they are doing their best STILL. I am very grateful for the papers !! I still got something back for the time I spent at Tilburg University. There are also plenty of people around who really want you, but they are not always easy to reach, unfortunately. You will have to be a bit creative to get their necessary attention and time. TIP: Those STUDY associations are not for nothing, I owe my diploma mainly to them and to the teachers who really make an effort to make materials understandable for everyone.

The worst place I have ever been to. University doesn't care about students at all, they treat us as numbers. They cancelled my exam because of the false fire alarm and now make us come back for the retake during summer holidays. mInd that they had three weeks to do it but informed us about a week before the resit. If I could give them 0 starts I would but unfortunately I can't. Studied there for a year and now I am escaping this wicked place and never coming back. Please do not make the same mistake as I did!

Everything below is my personal opinion. I donโ€™t know how itโ€™s possible that this university has 4.3 stars, first of all itโ€™s in one of the worst cities of the Netherlands, basically a village. People there are xenophobic against foreigners and internationals. In the city there is absolutely nothing, extremely boring and depressing. The education is not good either, everything is badly organised, inconvenient, after COVID they refuse to offer lecture recordings for example. They literally set everything up to make it as inconvenient and frustrating as humanly possible to study there, all the โ€œtechnology โ€œ they use is 3 decades behind. You could take free courses online from real universities like MIT or something and learn 1000x more. The Dutch students are mostly villagers / farmers that refuse to interact with internationals for some reason (they think they are better than foreigners that come to their country). Very low brow place, I really donโ€™t understand why internationals would ever go here, seriously just go study in a real city like Amsterdam or just avoid this country entirely, there are much better places to study..
