First time here and I have to type this is my fav sushi place in all of the Jersey. What a creative menu. Loved the bacon, cheese and egg fried rice! The tuna sticky rice excellent! Had the Kobe beef. Loved it. And then had three special rolls. All delicious. Steve was very nice who sat us and Sammy a great server. We’ll be back and so should you!

I gave Xina 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Pros: - Friendly Service with great recommendations - Clean - Great window view of the bay - Location - Offer brown rice sushi rolls - Delicious fresh fish - Nice restaurant decor. Cons: - None! Xina absolutely delighted me! The service was warm and knowledgeable, the atmosphere was spotless and inviting, and the view of the bay was beautiful. I appreciated their healthier options like brown rice sushi rolls, and the freshness of the fish was remarkable. The restaurant's decor added a touch of sophistication. I can't think of a single thing they could improve on - a rare feat! Five stars and highly recommended. Xina is a gem in Toms River!

One of my favorites. Great service and great food. You can walk in for lunch, but make sure you call for a dinner reservation or get take out. Sushi is the best around, and the portions of everything else is enough for two meals. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

Last summer I passed by but never got a chance to try. Today on a Tuesday we were so happy we went. Went we first got in it was just 3 tables but by 6 it started to get full so I’d make a reservation for later times. We had the oysters with ceviche and they were so fresh and delicious. Then the red lobster roll and some classic rolls off the menu. Lastly that Pad Thai was the best I’ve had in NJ. The specials our server mentioned all sounded good but I wanted to try the classics then the next time I’m going for the different things. We’re very happy we found our summer dinner spot this area lacks good restaurants and this makes me happy on all levels. Gracious owner and wonderful food.

A wonderful experience with immensely tasteful food and incredibly attentive and friendly service. It’s BYOB too which is always a nice plus! Definitely worth the trip over the bridge if you’re staying in one of the nearby beach towns. We can’t wait to go back. Plenty of room for big parties and the portions are huge, we were stuffed.

Sushi is always good. Love their hot and sour soup. The baked clams are so good also. You will need reservation during the weekend. There is something for everyone. Its BYOB. The XOXO roll was amazing.

Everything was amazing ! Crab salad was enough for two people but we still ate our own . Shrimp appetizer was great . Sushi rolls were fresh and it’s byob . We had the special collab with burger 25 and it was amazing ! I’d definitely consider keeping it as a special roll ! Wild drove 45 minutes and will definitely be back . I also think it’s a great value as all food was only 70 something.

We have always wanted to try Xina since I have read good reviews about it. Happy that we finally got to try it. The place was almost full when we came and we were seated by the bar. We were greeted right away and ordered Miso Soup, Buffalo Chicken Dimsum, Crunchy Peppered Tuna and Forever Roll. We loved the Crunchy Peppered Tuna and the Forever Roll was amazing! Very fresh ingredients and very authentic. Will surely be coming back to this restaurant!

The two week reservation in the summer is justified, I suggest to keep that in mind. I’ve been here twice in two months, it’s now the fall of 2023. A small place just off of Seaside New Jersey. That has a nice size sushi bar. and probably 15 tables but the food is outstanding. It’s a BYOB place. My wife’s not a seafood eater and there’s several things on the menu that are delicious enough to keep her happy. I have ordered four different sushi rolls. All were great and unique and oyster appetizer, as well as spring rolls. All very good. I haven’t eaten at the sushi bar yet but it was full. Maybe holds 30 people. So it’s huge, but has a very nice view from across the toms River into the bay. Looking towards Seaside. Really nice vibe. New Jersey shore prices are like New York City prices you’re not getting out of here under $30-$50 if you have appetizers and a meal. The price might be faint of heart but with a BYOB policy it seems expensive but not for the area and not for the view those are both terrific

The sushi was fresh, the clams on the half shell were delicious, salad was fresh, and the pepper steak was enormous. I was able to eat a quarter of the dish. Rest is for tomorrow. Our server Anne Marie was fabulous., funny, and efficient. We’d love Xina!

Xina never ever disappoints! The beef tataki, spicy crab salad, and lettuce wraps are staples for us. We’ve had the salmon several times and it’s SO GOOD! All of the sushi is incredible, but there are always rolls on special that are mind blowing! Oh yea, it’s BYOB!!

The food never disappoints! Appetizers are small, but perfect. As for the entrees, fried rice, and rolls are rather large and can be eaten the next day. Service of the wait staff is very different each time I go- nothing ever bad, but not consistent. The restaurant is very clean and organized and pretty spacious for the amount of tables they have.

1st time at this restaurant while on vacation, if you haven't been, GO! the food is delicious and the portions are huge 1 order of fried rice and 1 order of beef and vegetables enough for a family of 4 I'm certain. Sushi 🍣 😋. We ordered all this for my husband and I and we both ate two more times .

I had my daughters bridal shower here yesterday and the food and staff were exceptional and especially accommodating to guests with food allergies… all guests were complimenting how amazing the food was and the family style portions were huge! Natalie the event manager was lovely to deal with and the waitress Anna as well as the other two waiters who ran our party were fabulous! So kind, attentive and kept everything running smoothly! Outstanding job Xina!

I don't get the hype. I've been suggested this place by so many people over the years. I tried it twice this summer. My tuna roll came with scales both visits. While some restaurants will put a cut piece of tuna into the roll, this restaurant puts was seems to be tuna scraps in it, which explains the scales (pictured). The salmon is trimmed poorly, as my Naruto roll had chewy pieces that I had to be spit out--I couldn't even finish this roll. The coconut shrimp roll, however, was outstanding (pictured). The menu is misleading--they didn't have duck either time, fat belly tuna either time, and sea urchin was also not available on the first visit. (The menu has multiple duck options...too bad we never got to try them). Both times, we were not told of the kitchen being out of the items until we browsed the menu and had decided what to order... then had to change our minds. Very disappointing. Weekday lunch was not crowded at all. We sat 4 people at a table comfortably. However, weekday dinner for 2, we were smooshed between two other tables. Felt very uncomfortable. Tiny table could barely fit the appetizers and drinks. Price was very fair. The food is decent. Sushi is on par with Uminoya in Toms River. Koi restaurant & Shogun in Toms River are both better options in my opinion. Overall, not a bad restaurant. But for the hype, I was let down. There are other better options in the area.

Amazing food! You can tell because they are always busy. Make your reservations ahead of time if you want to enjoy Xina. We love the sushi and the noodles. Highly recommend this sushi restaurant!

Although I always thought the food was good, I haven’t been to Xina in years but we stopped in a few times this summer and it was outstanding! We were seated super quickly at the bar on a busy saturday and the service was great. Food was sooooo so good. Rock shrimp was perfectly crispy and saucy. Rolls were so fresh and delicious. Crispy rice spicy tuna was amazing! and the udon noodle special was so yummy. It is also byob! Can’t wait to come back!

As you can see from the overall star ratings, Xina knows its oysters and sushi. The discipline and gourmet knowledge to run both seafood categories almost create an international feeling when you enter. The ample seating space includes an extensive oyster bar and dozens of tables. I am a local to Tom's River and always see a whole house in the busy beach season and the off-season alike.

First time here and food was great. My husband and I ordered a bunch of rolls to share and was pleasantly surprised by the creativity and variety that was offered. Service was also amazing- quick and extremely pleasant. My family comes down to the beach each year and can’t wait to bring them next time we are down.

I’ve been coming here since the day they opened but since Covid really haven’t made too many trips down here. Well I’m kicking myself now for missing so many good meals because the food we just had was incredible. Local oysters are always winners, rock shrimp is so light and flavorful PERFECT appetizer, special rolls were so fresh, and the special entree of Seared tuna over udon noodles was to die for. Love the atmosphere too as it’s very refreshing and beachy vibes.

Amazing quality fish. The family was very pleased with all the dishes. The salmon, my favorite and most pickiest was superb. The owner and who I think was his son were walking around talking and tending to ask the tables. Service was fast and great. We were shocked at how cheap the bill was for a big family.

Went on a Friday evening with no reservations and it was booked. They accommodated us at the bar which was great as we sat and watched the sushi chefs make magic! The staff were all great and very friendly. We started with vegetable tempura which was as expected and also an amazing dragon roll which was AMAZING! It was packed with heat, umami and just a true explosion of flavor. As entrees we had the walnut shrimp which was just sooooo good. It was a bit sweet but had crunch and just delicious. The lobster Cantonese was a bit disappointing. The sauce was bland and a bit slimy for my liking. It was not what I expected in regards to Cantonese so I was a bit confused but none the less the lobster was fresh and meaty. The lamb chops were divine and just cooked to perfection. The pepper steak was done with filet mignon so the meat was tender and plump. For desert we had pecan pie without the pecans….. don’t ask just get it. It’s basically sugar pie that you could lather yourself in for days. Definitely a great experience overall and I would suggest reservations but the bar was awesome! It’s BYOB so make sure to bring your drinks.

Went here on a whim, having no idea what it would be like. 2 hour drive from PA. PLEASANTLY surprised!!! So glad we made the 'blind' trek! Atmosphere was AMAZING, good parking, food was top notch. Service was a bit slow, but it was a Saturday night so it was completely understandable. Server was awesome.

The food here was so good. Great service. I would recomend making reservations ahead of time if you can. They were very accomodating and gave us the option to sit at the sushi bar, which was perfect. We loved everything especially the baked clams, the Lamb chops and all the sushi is very fresh and well prepared, all portions were very generous. Our server James was awesome. I honestly can't wait to go back next time I visit!

Overall, the food was good. The coconut flake sushi was very dry tasting to me whereas the Angry Dragon was better. It would have been good to have the pickled ginger with the Dragon. The calamari salad was spot on. I would like to see some pictures of the various sushi offerings either on the menus or on a separate placards. If you want to sit at a table, best to make a reservation. If you are a walk in, you will be seated at the sushi bar. This is especially true during the beach crowd season.

Best Asian Fusion restaurant around. Sushi is always fresh and makes a great start to a meal or a meal itself. The snapper whole fish is unbelievably good. If you like traditional, there is plenty on the menu for you to choose. Portions are large. Great place to go and not break the bank. Noise level is a little loud, so if you looking for a quiet place this one is not for you.
