This place is just awesome. If your into general tso like I am. This is the place to go sit down and get it. The cuts of chicken are nothing but tender prime meat. It's not like the usual in out restaurants woth two tables to sit at where the chicken is just left over cuts of fat and etc. It's one of the last old fashioned sit town Chinese places around this area. There sushi is pretty good as well. UPDATED 6-9-23 Just got one of my usually dishes General Tso chicken and and brought it back to my office which literally a minute away open it up and it was Ice cold. The Taste is also a little off as well than usual. Past few times I've gone here this place has not been the same I feel like they're losing their touch. I wish I was able to enjoy my $10 lunch today.

Second time in a row being disappointed. Food used to be very good. Ordered chicken and broccoli, beef with scallions, and a spicy tuna roll to go. Went to pick it up and there was no record of my order so I showed the girl the email confirmation. Waited for food to be prepared. Chicken had a very off texture when chewing. Like hard rubber. Broccoli was practically raw. Beef was off in color. And the tuna was mushy. Time to find a new Chinese restaurant.

We have been there several times and most of our experiences there were pleasant. However, we were there about 3 weeks ago on a Saturday evening. There was only 1 waitress and the delivery boy gave us water. He should not have been waiting on us. He brought tea which was very weak. The food was OK but we were so cold ( the temperature in the restaurant was not comfortable) and so disgusted by the dust all around us and the unclean appearance of the delivery boy, that we basically lost our appetites. We will never go back.

Been going here for years. One of the best Asian restaurants in town. Their delivery radius is far which is good.

I stopped by to pick up dinner on my way home. The place looks like a nice family restaurant and staff is friendly. The food on the other hand was old and tasted off. I will not be buying from there again.

They made a mistake and over charged us. When we complained they hung up on us 4 times. Then we called from a different number and they hung up again 2x. So we drove there and gave the food back. Never again. We order once a week normally

I will never order from here again the worst customer service I have ever experienced, I ordered 46.00 worth of food my food came and the house Lo mein has no sauce it was dry so i called and the man pretended not to hear me so then he disconnected the phone i called several time more and ever time he did the same thing a few time he just didn’t respond to me . I have never had a restaurant not correct the food order. I don’t think anyone should order from someone who was so rude thank you

This restaurant use to be very good but they sold it The new owners don’t seem to care about the customer or the cleanliness of the restaurant. They had a delivery man waiting on the tables . The water glasses had lipstick on them and the condiments were all sticky with finger prints. Did not eat there and left ASAP.

Tonight’s dinner was a disappointment. We’ve order before and liked it. Ordered a large portion of general Tao’s chicken, a small general Tao’s shrimp, mixed vegetables with garlic sauce and chicken lo mein. Supposed to get 3 pints of white rice based on order. The large chicken was $13.65 and not even enough for one person. Hardly any shrimp, no sauce on the mixed vegetables and garlic sauce a 1 qt of rice. They have definitely SHRUNK the portion sizes. Never ordering again.

Ordered over three hours ago still no food. Multiple phone calls they keep hanging up even though I have been understanding. They are so rude and the worst service ever. Not trying to even make it right or get us our food. They would call me and then wait to talk and then hang up I am so confused. Not running a good business very sad.

Good food, but horrible, horrible, horrible service. We had to buss our own table and put dirty dishes on an adjoining table. No water refills, waitress simply dumped the food on the table and left. Waitress spent most of her time near the kitchen on her cell phone. Wife had to go to the kitchen to get containers to hold leftover food. Lifetime award for the worst service ever.

Food is always great and very reasonable prices. Service was great too. My only complaints are, that while we were eating in the dining room, it was very hot and no music at all. Turn on the a.c. and put some music on and it would be 5 stars.

I gave my credit card to them over the phone and they stole the number and tried to buy airline tickets and a bunch of other stuff. Beware!

Visit only once, and love it! Nice sushi, tasty rice with other meals. Only complain, I was the only customer in that moment, and I wait a lot for two simple things.

Went there for dinner and walking in there were plenty of people eating. We ordered and both had a very good dinner. More than enough to eat, so we had some left for next day. Service was quick and food was served hot like you want it. Try it.

An overall very nice Chinese Restaurant that you can sit down to & enjoy a Tasty meal. They also serve Japanese food, as well a Sushi. Portions are substantial & quite good.

01/27/2024: First time visit for dinner. Wonton Soup was tasty, entrees were Chicken & Vegetables and Kung Po Chicken. Servings were right sized and delicious. We will be visiting here again for dinner. Thanks for the great job!

Tang Dynasty is a great local restaurant. Wait staff is helpful, and you won't wait long for your meal. Soups, spring rolls and steam dumplings are excellent.

Came in and ordered take out since so many people recommended. Was disappointed. Sauce was watered down, very little vegetables and containers were not full. Boneless ribs were overcooked. Sushi was not the best either

Ownership Changed got smelly rotten sushi rolls! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE @@@@@ So when I opened my delivery box with sushi it had a very strong bad smell. I thought maybe it’s in my head so I tried one and my rung was burning. When I called the restaurant they said it’s not true and didn’t even offer refund! The next day they just hang up on me. Well they lost me as a customer. I used to love this place and was ordering from there every week!

My daughter and I went only because pho veit was closed on Wednesday, it wasn't bad..The food was good,service was good,and like all old school Chinese restaurants they give you tea,and the fried noodles with duck sauce, I enjoyed it

Ordered our food at 6:23pm, Tuesday May 31st for delivery . It is now 9:27. I’ve called 10+ times to see if the food is actually coming and there is no answer. At what point do you turn the lights out and forget about your dinner and make a pb&j??????

The past couple orders I've placed have been for delivery, and I get a phone call that my order has been ready(over an hour) and when I say it's delivery they argue with me. Then when they bring me the food it's the food that has been sitting there waiting soggy and cold. Every time I order there has been issues: missing items, it's stale, food just not up to par. I will never order from here again.

Had 17 people for dinner at my mom's repass after her funeral. She was 99! Food was excellent service was excellent.

We have gone there for years. Went today and ordered Peking Duck early due to it taking 45 minutes. Duck delivered thrown onto a plate while scallion slivers were 4 inch sticks of whole scallion. Almost no hoisin sauce. Dirty tables of dishes everywhere. Only 2 people waiting on 8 tables on a Saturday night. Left the food, not worth bringing home.

Best Chinese food in Ocean County. The food is reasonably priced and waiters are friendly.

Service is awful in the Chinease restaurant and food always comes out cold. Steak Teriyaki was disgusting.

Went on Christmas Day. Thankfully they were open, but I think overwhelmed. There was 3 in our "party" and the food came out separately. We wanted to eat at the same time and due to that, everything was Cold !! I would only try this place again because we have Friends in the area......

People were nice a little different They have a blend menu Definitely something worth trying out If you like Chinese and Japanese food and are looking for something new. I recently got the general tosos As a former chef myself I highly recommend this general tosos was unique and original but still good.

I can't rate the food. We walked our before ordering. Water glasses were extremely dirty asked for new gave us more dirty glasses. We sat for a bit before we even had silverware. Server threw the silverware on the table in a pile. Poor service.

Good local spot for Chinese and Japanese food. My favorite is the Chinese dumplings and the Japanese noodles. Lately we’ve been ordering the sesame shrimp. Everything is seasoned well and the shrimp was crisp and not soggy. All delicious and a thank you to the only waitress last night that was working the whole floor!!

Just a heads up just walk out of Tang  dynasty in Toms River !!!! I was the worst !!! We used to love this place. It seems they have changed  owners. It was so terrible silverware, tea pots, tea cups glasses, dirty. noodles were soggy and had a metallic taste to them. They had no idea of what they were doing when you were trying to order and they were trying to rush you through your order will never step foot in that place again. Wish I could give it a minus review don't waste your time or your money. 

Had to walk out on my relatives bday dinner for 6, 40 minutes and no water. Took 30 for menus. Poor older man with a mask on was running around while the rest of the staff just left him to dry. He couldn't even bus the tables by himself since there was so much for him to do and no help. Poor management at best. Sad, used to love this place.

Great food, long wait as they're very busy. The young lady was kind enough to bring my food outside for me. I also have to say to this same young lady, she was working so hard with many calls coming in at once, people were getting upset with her in person and she never lost control!!

Absolutely one of my favorite local Chinese food places to eat. Especially the fruit at the end of the meal. Could have had a big bowl of just the cold pineapple. Delicious.. and the people are always very kind. Fully recommend.

very nice and cozy eat in Chinese restaurant. friendly waiter staff. stopped in for Saturday lunch specials 11am-3pm .. nice portions and great flavor. classic chicken and broccoli, garlic chicken, and shrimp with snow peas. all served with choice of rice and soup. they also have a Japanese menu along with Sushi.

For the second time in a row our order was not correct. We didn't bother calling the first time. When I did call this time, I was told that I had made the mistake, not them (strike 1). With out even asking, I was then told that there is no way they could come back and replace the incorrect dish (strike 2). I told them I did not expect that, but maybe they could give my mother a credit for the next time she comes in; she eats there regularly. I was told, "no way can they do that" (strike 3). The food is not good enough to overshadow the poor customer service.

I have been a customer for 4 years + . The food has always been very good.

If I could give less of a star I would. Ordered dinner online for 6 people. It said 50 minutes. 90 min later I call to see where my order is. I was told it would be another 25 min did I still want my order? I said yes please it's our dinner. If I could have ordered or ran out to grab something quicker I would have. I will never order from here again. It's now 2 hours and we just got our food.

First time ordering from here. Never again. We literally threw our whole meal out. The large Wonton soup had no taste and only 6 tiny wontons in the whole quart. The white rice tasted like it had someone else's old sauce on it...was inedible. The lo mein was just noodles with no sauce or seasoning and cold. Sweet and sour chicken tasted old and were tiny pieces of chicken. 30 dollars down the drain! Stay away.

Ordered online. Took almost 2 hours. Food tasted old, fried rice tasted spoiled, boneless spareribs stunk and were actually bad (rotten). Soup was half empty with one wonton. Wasted $30 and store is no help, doesn’t understand what you are saying. Beware don’t waste your money.

First time there will not be my last. Great food, excellent service and very clean. A good throwback to Chinese restaurants of the past.

Ordered $60+ worth of food. Waited and waited. Finally called after 1.5 hours only to be told “the driver is on his way”. Repeat every 30 minutes until we reached close to 3 hours and now I’m looking for a refund. Got hung up on 3 times before getting any resolution. The driver claims he delivered my food to a “dude” at my address. If that person was real, it was not me. Called back, hung up on again. Idk, maybe if you pick up? Don’t order delivery.
