Barrys Bootcamp is by far the most amazing and rewarding workout I’ve ever done. It is indeed expensive but completely worth it. This Yorkville facility boasts top tier amenities and bathroom products. There are also hygiene products available to use. The front desk staff at the Yorkville Barry’s are all super awesome. They’re always willing to help out and answer questions. As a regular, the front desk staff have started to get to know my name whenever I check in, which is always welcoming. All this contributes to how amazing this Barry’s is but the main reason is of course their instructors and their workouts. The workout is by far the most challenging workout I’ve ever done but also incredibly rewarding. Over the 7 months I’ve been going to Barry’s Yorkville, I went from taking 1 class a week, to now going to Barry’s as my primary regular workout 4 times a week. I’ve had the pleasure and “torture” of experiencing 5 different instructors. Majority of my classes I’ve taken are taught by Kevin Y. He really gets to know you, challenge you, encourages you and push you to new limits. I’ve also started taking more classes led by Brendan, Andra and Karina and they are all remarkable. After the class, Barry’s provides a tray of cold wet towels that is so refreshing when you’ve completed the class and need a cool down. The Barry’s workout is the gold standard of high intensity workouts and this Barry’s Yorkville is such a welcoming place. It’s well worth the investment.

After purchasing a Toronto First Timer 3 Pack, I attended my first class with a friend who was registered as my guest. The class itself went well – I thought the session was overpriced for what you’re getting (especially with more affordable and better options in Toronto) – but I liked the trainer’s energy and even attended a second class. However, when I tried to book a third session, I was told I ran out of classes because bringing my guest “counted as a session”. I emailed and called multiple times to understand this situation, and no one provided a reasonable explanation/solution. I felt scammed and misled for the following reasons: 1. There is no guest policy on Barry’s website that says anything about bringing a guest and having it count as a session 2. When I booked my first class through the app, there was no message beside “bring a guest” that said it would count as a session 3. I have never been charged at another gym or studio for bringing a guest – this is not common practice I would have been more than happy to pay for additional sessions because I actually enjoyed them, but after this incident and having none of the employees I spoke with take action to try to rectify the situation, I would not recommend Barry’s Yorkville to anyone.

An amazing experience! I’m absolutely obsessed. I was really nervous to take my first class, but Sara Pro took me right under her wing to show me the ropes & make me feel accepted & motivated! Barry’s, you’ll be seeing more of me!

Went there for my first time as a guest and regrettably didn’t have the greatest experience. First, the address says Bloor Street so I’m walking along Bloor to find this place. They should change the address to Critchley Lane as their doors are there and not on Bloor which makes it very misleading. Especially for someone who went there the first time. When I walked in, there were three ladies at the juice/smoothie bar and looked at me without any greeting or looked approachable. Didn’t help me where I was supposed to go or give me any directions. When I found my way, the reception desk is all the way in the back and as someone coming in for the first time, it lacked organizational space pushing through crowds of people waiting. The lack of directions to changerooms was abysmal as well – didn’t feel like I was being helped at all and was still lost. Going to the class, the trainer was very upbeat and had great energy, as a first timer, he was able to help me with what instructions were needed to be done for the treadmill. But I think the classes are very overpriced for an hour – with other suitable options from other gyms/memberships. Honestly, the welcoming was not the greatest, not friendly, the front desk staff felt like they didn’t care and disengaged and I wouldn’t come back to this place from this experience. The customer satisfaction was not met at all.

Been both to the Yorkville and Richmond location! I've been spending more time in the Yorkville location due to proximity. Facilities are clean, but very small. The clientele that attends this location does not feel very welcoming, when asked a simple question to another attendee they rudely reply to go to the front desk. The front desk is unapproachable. Got locked out of my locker and no one was at the desk, I had to walk to the back to speak to the kind caretaker who was on her break. I accidentally booked double floor not knowing what it was, when I asked the front desk they did not answer the question but redirected to the trainer who would explain. The trainers are great and do push you to your limit, it's a shame the customer service aspect could not care less about your experience. I still enjoy Barry's but will be attending the Richmond location for the future.

I don't want to love Barry's but I do. Been coming here since 2019. 50 minutes goes by quickly and I feel great after. The workouts always feels different and the app is great. My fav instructors are: Kevin, Andrew, Brendan, Cameron & Karina. Love their energy! I appreciate the option to do "double floors" because sometimes I just don't want to run.

Very sweet and accommodating facility!!! I love this place. Been to over 300 classes. The trainers are always so positive and knowledgeable. Front desk is very responsive and accommodating to class switches which is super helpful given the fact that we live in a city where there is construction on every block lol. I adore everyone that works here and I’m so thankful to have found this place! Truly changed my life in the city for the better. I leave happy and refreshed after each class.

Lots of stairs to get to the top but the location is very nice. The change rooms are stocked with everything you need. There are small & large towels available, you honestly just need to bring yourself. The staff are friendly & helpful 👍 can't wait for the next class!

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Barry’s bootcamp! I already am addicted to it! Met five different Barry’s fitness instructors so far, all of them were very motivational and encouraging during the class but I must say my all time favourite instructor so far has been Kevin! He is a hard core aka drill sergeant (sorry, Kevin. I hope you're not reading this lol), who pushes you to finish 3 sets sometimes 5-6 sets within a 50 minute class. He is also a detail-oriented person, will notice and pay close attention to which speed or inclination you're on, how heavy your weights are, knows everyone’s name in his class and will yell out your name from time to time for #motivation. Not only that, his personal selection for old school hiphop music is THE BEST! Already finished my 10 classes within my first 2 weeks and can’t wait to see how my body will transform in the upcoming months! Bring it on 💪🏻

They're not kidding when they say "best workout in the world". Some of the most inspiring instructors I have had in my entire life. Set in an environment where you can reach your highest potential in fitness. I love coming back here, as I simply can't get enough of it. I can't even name one specific instructor because they are all amazing, BUT I will give a shoutout to my first instructor Branden S! He made me and my friend feel very welcome on our first class, which really helped kill the nerves we were having. We also felt seamlessly at home and apart of the community after interacting with him. The energy and inspiration that is brought forward with every class is phenomenal! Kristy, Steven, Hayley, and Michelle are also incredibly amazing! I have yet to try the other instructors, but I will make my way around. Thanks Barry's! ♥️

I started going to Barry's since 2021 Summer. I enjoy the Yorkville location because of instructor, Kevin! He remembers your name and encourages you to work harder each time he sees you. He typically teaches at 5:30PM or 6:30, which is perfect for the 9-5 crowd. Also the Fuel Bar (smoothie bar) its worth every penny because they make it taste great and you definitely want a smoothie after doing such an intense workout. I have a lot to thank because I wouldn't be in shape I am without Barry's!

Actually amazing high intensity training class. The cost is a little unsustainable at $42 tax-in per class. Smoothie bar downstairs is great- even if you didn’t work out.

I always have a great experience at Barry's, one could say I'm addicted! Trainers like Brendan/Jela/Chris/Zamour (and many more I'm sure that I just haven't tried yet) are super motivational and always make sure you come out feeling accomplished and that you've completely challenged yourself for the day. Facilities are always super clean compared to some other studios in the city, and the eucalyptus towels are a nice plus after a sweaty workout. It can be a bit intimidating at first as it seems like all the girls have abs and the men with their long legs are sprinting on 15, but for me that's really motivating as it shows you where you can be in the future if you put the hours in and continually challenge yourself every time you go in. There are always ways to bring the price down by buying a membership or swapping guest passes with friends. I don't see myself stopping Barry's anytime soon!

Barry's Bootcamp offers the ultimate workout experience, combining treadmill and weight training. From the energetic music to the exceptional instructors, every aspect is carefully designed to create a dynamic and fulfilling workout session. The staff at Barry's Bootcamp is consistently friendly and welcoming, ensuring a positive atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Additionally, the facility is well-equipped with a range of amenities, including shampoos, conditioners, body creams, anti-perspirants, tampons, and mouthwash, providing everything you need for a convenient and refreshing post-workout routine. One standout feature at Barry's Bootcamp is their delicious smoothies, which are a personal favorite of mine.

The focus is on the workouts, not lounges and decor. It’s clean and efficient. Great instructors and nice front desk staff. There’s a smoothie bar where you can pre-order through their app.

The best workout in the world! Group classes here are fun and motivating, with great instructors who push you to your limits to really improve long term. Classes are intense but very fun, especially with friends. Amenities are nice, with clean towels and change rooms. The fuel bar downstairs also has some good post workout smoothies. Awesome experience overall

I have been to many of the HIIT style classes in the city (Fit Factory, Orange Theory, F45) and Barry's is my favorite. If you're not familiar with the Barry's Bootcamp workout, it's broken up into 30 minutes of floor (strength/resistance) work plus 30 minutes of treadmill work. The intervals can vary—5, 10, 15, all the way up to 30 minutes. I love it because the class seems to go by very quickly. No matter what, an interval will be at the longest, 10 minutes so it is easy to handle. My fitness level is good but not amazing. My cardio isn't great and I keep my treadmill speed at more of a jog and I don't feel pressured to go higher if I feel I can't. The instructors are very supportive and will cheer you on no matter your level. The music that is played is very motivating. It gets faster when you are going to do a sprint on the treadmill and really gets you pumped up. And something about the lights in the Red Room (the exercise room) really makes everyone look great. I felt very welcomed there. All of the instructors are great but I am going to shout out to Hayley and Steven because they are both great at really checking in on you during the workout, even if it is just to cheer you on. What is also great is if you don't want to do the treadmill (cardio) portion you can book a double floor session and just do the strength/resistance portion the entire time. I do think you have to be somewhat fit to do the class, but again, no one is looking at you and you can go at your own pace. I've never felt judged for going a little slower than everyone else.

This class is IN-TENSE!!!! 🥵🔥Lol I decided to try Barry's when I started getting bored of my condo gym workouts. I wanted to mix things up by training in a group setting. The trainers here are great, very motivating and the music pumps me up also. I'm not much of a runner so this was definitely a challenge for me with the sprinting. I would recommend this class if you are looking for that extra push/get over a plateau. I really felt that runners high after doing it 💪🏽👍🏽

The location is smallest that Richmond which makes it more personalized in my opinion. Great coaches and modern facilities.

The customer service at this place was abysmal. The staff member I interacted with was completely unhelpful and uninterested in providing me with any useful information. She refused to let me take a look around the area, making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I would strongly advise against visiting this place.

Really loved the vibe of this Barry’s. Unlike SF or LA, the classes aren’t crowded at all. Andrew B is the best Barry’s instructor I’ve had so far — he remembered people’s names and encouraged them through the class in order to help them reach their potential, and his instructions through the class were very clear

Regrettably, my time at this gym didn't meet expectations. The staff lacked professionalism and seemed disinterested, while the trainers appeared detached and unengaged during sessions. Customer service was lacking in warmth and consideration. There's a clear need for improved staff professionalism and better customer care to elevate the overall experience.
