This place cancelled our room 1 week before our arrival. Room was booked 5 months ago. Reason was :"sorry we overbooked our place we cannot receive you". Obviously they do not have any negative impact even if this place has a cancellation fees If I was the one to cancel. I cannot give 0 stars unfortunately.

Compared to other similar small motel/hostel-style places in the same range, I found Keppner to be a great spot in a nice area with clean, comfortable rooms (with en suite bathrooms), and the main father and son management are very friendly and quite accommodating. I would definitely stay again if I need a short-stay accommodation in the future. Recommended!

Decent place for the price which in a very expensive city was the most important thing. Location is pretty good quiet but near downtown especially church street area. Room was surprisingly large, reasonably comfortable with a fridge, microwave and kettle which is useful. It's pretty basic and furniture is obviously fairly old but considering the cost that's to be expected. WIFI was excellent and the shower in my room was good. There's laundry available at an extra fee somewhere in the building. Obviously because it's cheap there's lots of little things here and there like the curtain didn't fit the window very well but overall for the price I was very happy. To check in you might have to call someone but there's a phone right by the door for this.

Room was clean and had all we need. But walls are very thin (you can hear everything from the others rooms), the compressor of the fridge was too loud to sleep without earplugs. The battery of the smoke detector was also not inserted properly (is unlikely to work like this).

This is the best option for downtown stays with a private room and bathroom. It's no swanky hotel, but for the price I was very impressed - extremely clean, mini fridge, microwave, desk and seating area. The owners are very kind and accommodating, and checkin and checkout were very smooth despite my late arrival into the city. I'm looking forward to staying here again!

Courteous and friendly staff, the sound of running water all through the night. Just adequate.

Service was rude, but the room was ok for the price. When we booked, we received an email with some phone numbers to call upon our arrival and when we arrived, the same numbers was written on the door. So, as asked, when we arrived at the front door we called the first number on the list and the guy that answered basically asked me why I was calling him and was super rude. Finally, after a couple of minutes, someone came and opened the door. Anyway, we did not feel really welcomed. Afterward, it was ok. The room was clean and comfortable.

I looked at this property online through booking.com but booked elsewhere and suddenly I have a bogus charge on my credit card from this guesthouse.

Nice budget hotel. Sheets are clean and towels were clean. Location is great, can walk downtown. The only negative aspect are squeaky beds that could be more comfortable. I stayed 3 nights and I slept good.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently. The pros: Gary (staff member we dealt with) was very kind and accommodating, meeting us at the door and showing us around. The room was large, and smelled and looked very clean. Decent enough location for the price. The cons: paper thin walls and ceiling. We were on the main floor and could loudly hear footsteps toilet flushes, doors closing, water running, and voices. There’s also noises from the mini-fridge, the washer/dryer, and parking area. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and had holes in the sheets. There was no comforter, only 2 throw blankets. No light over the shower so it’s a very dark experience (and very low water pressure if that’s important to you). Overall, it’s a slightly below average place to stay, especially for the price. If you do stay here, make sure you bring ear plugs.
