I got the opportunity to use the curb-side pick up today which was awesome considering it takes so long to get any coffee in Toronto right now (Made the order in the afternoon and was able to pick it up in less than two hours- which is outstanding). The customer service is unlike anywhere else. Extremely friendly staff with full transparency. Nevertheless, the beans were incredible. Simply a perfect consistent roast. I highly recommend Java works.

I bought 3 varieties (Metropolitan, Peru and Sumatra). None of the packages indicated a roast date, not even an expiry date like the less expensive grocery brands. The Metro blend didn't seem all that fresh, not stale, but definitely not Muldoon's Coffee fresh (my regular coffee supplier). There were quite a few quakers in the Metro blend, less so for the other two varieties, where the bean quality was definitely much better. Both the Metro blend and the Peru products should be considered light coffee, with the Samatra leaning towards dark. If you like the Metro blend, save yourself a boat load of money and buy cheap Eight O'Clock Coffee, sadly, you won't be able to tell the difference and it's less than half the price! This was a $50 mistake, one that I will not be repeating ever again. I'm very disappointed with my purchase and the overall quality of the products I received. If you want ridiculously fresh coffee at an equivalent price shop at Muldoon's Coffee, you'll be glad you did. Follow up: Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it. I can guarantee you that none of the bags I received had any date on them, bottom, top, side, front, back, nothing. Either it fell off the bag or someone forgot to label them.

Coffee is good. Customer Service is not. As a new customer I tried contacting Java Works to have some questions answered (which weren't on the website) and not one person could help. The front desk person was really nice and tried but ultimately I couldn't get any of my questions answered which was disappointing. I emailed. I phoned probably four times, each time I was told there would be someone to help but no on picked up the phone and it kept going to voicemail. I even left a voicemail for the owner, never received a call back. Coffee is pretty good though, too bad about the customer service.

I bought from their website for the first time after trying their English Toffee flavored coffee from Amazon (really great coffee flavor), as I saw they have 2 lb bulk bags of coffee, instead of just the small 12 oz bags. I ordered some bulk bags of coffee on a weekend (just recently got into making cold-brew coffee at home), so understandably my order was not "shipped" until Monday. What is surprising to me, is that some business days have already gone by and there is NO sign of my order being delivered (it should have already gotten here by now if it was shipped on Monday, not like Ontario is that far away from QC - most standard shipping takes 2-3 business days max from ON to QC). Reviews suggested that Java Works is speedy on both shipping and on delivering orders, often within a few business days - so of course I was hoping for the same speedy delivery for my order. However, I checked the tracking today (Friday now) and it is STILL stuck on "label created" - the carrier is keeping the package unscanned and it's being held hostage in their office, instead of delivering to me like they're supposed to. EDIT: I did hear back after emailing java works contact email that they will look into why the package is not moving/no updates on tracking, and if no luck working with the carrier, then they would reship my order. EDIT 2: The Java works customer support team did an excellent job in resolving the issue with me. They got the carrier to finally scan in the package and once it finally got moving, it was delivered in about 2 business days (though took around 7-8 business days total due to the carrier error). Java works also gave me a bonus for the trouble, which I really appreciated.

The only place I buy my coffee from now! It is the best quality coffee I have ever had, specifically their flavoured coffees. They are not the classic artificial flavour taste many flavoured coffees have, they are flavourful but subtle at the same time. I don’t live very near them but I order it anyways since nothing else compares! Highly recommend the canadian maple, it is my favourite :)

Amended review, as per request. Coffee products are very good, but shipping makes it not worthwhile (granted, that's on Canada Posts exorbitant fees) -- will eagerly await free-shipping promotion. 3stars due to poor store hours. Even a morning pickup window on the weekend would help.

Got wrong order. Emailed them, 2 days later no reply so I called them. The toll free line is not working so I called using the long distance line, got transferred to a mailbox. Left message. No reply yet. Lousy after sales service! correction: I got an email back with apologies for delay in responding and all was resolved in a very satisfying result for me. Thanks a million.

I've tried this coffee about three separaye times now. I've been to the warehouse/outlet store in Mississauga and the staff is wonderful, very nice, friendly and helpful! It smells AMAZING! I've ordered online and had it shipped to my house and the process was very quick and easy. I've had several of the flavored coffees and they are good, smell amazing when your scooping but nit overly flavourful once a cup of coffee is made.

This is the best flavored coffee I have ever had. It is very hard to find good quality flavor coffee as it's not the most popular among coffee drinkers but this place does not disappoint. I ordered the blueberry cobbler, neapolitan, maple and coconut macaroon and all were shockingly great - I was worried about the neapolitan but it really did taste like the ice-cream. The coffee is such high quality which I think is why the unusual flavors all work. Thanks for giving me renewed belief in flavored coffee - I will be ordering again!
