What a 💎. Who would say that the best beef wellington I’ve ever had would be in an rushed selection of a restaurant during a road trip. 🥩 These guys go above and beyond presentation wise while not forgetting the food quality. The service is fast realiable and very attentive, from the moment you walk in up to deserts. 🎩 The space also works as a bar therefore is one of those amazing restaurants to get an off the normal schedule meal. 🍷 Added to my favorite spots list in the middle of portugal and it is so good that i can easily see myself going off-route to experience it again. Congratulations to all staff

Roots is litterally in the middle of a leafy park. The black building stands out from outside and looks sober and almost cold. Once you've passed the door, the decor is lush and makes you feel at home. We were welcomed warmly by the host who directed us to our table. Menus were in English as well which always helps :) We opted for an Alentejo cheese and a red wine from the Lisbon region which was fresh and tasty. A steal at 25eur the bottle. Then, we shared a veal carpaccio. The plate looked beautiful with some young sprouts, littles eadible flowers and a drizzle of oliver oil. The veal itselfed melted in your mouth. As main, we had the grilled octopus and the pork belly. Both dishes were well executed and could be discribed as traditional Portuguese revisited with great enthusiasm and a modern twist. The only disappointment was to pay 10eur each for an "aguardiente" but we would come again when visiting Torres Vedras.

In my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in Torres Vedras. The location is great, it has an amazing park where kids can play while you enjoy a great view accompanied by mouth-watering vegetarian options. The staff is well trained and really polite making for great service. The decoration is on point and they have an open kitchen where you can see their chefs work their magic.

Good place to go if you are staying around Torres Vedras. The restaurant visual it's very nice, family friendly, there's a kids park nearby. There's a lot to improve in the food just with small tweaks. I recommend the mushrooms à Bulhão pato, the wellington beef needs some small changes to be great, the sweet potatoes chips are lovely. Ok on deserts, coffee and service. There's a parking space just in front of the restaurant. It's 100€ for 2 adults and 2 kids with entrance, wine and deserts.

A space incredibly well decorated with an open view to a beautiful park and playground. While we waited for our food (not long though) our kids played outside, no problem. The food was amazing as well as the service. Also have to point out that the parking outside is very convenient. A great experience in every way!

We came for a meal on a Sunday afternoon and were happy to be seated quickly the place looks lovely so we were looking forward to a nice meal. We received our wine quickly and the waitress was nice. My partner ordered the chef special of pork cheeks , I had the bulgar and roast veg,,, we waited far too long, but when my partners arrived he was happy, mine however was a gross looking green mess topped with barely cooked eggs. The menu stated soft eggs which I took as like a soft poached egg. When I say the eggs were snotty and the white was runny , it’s not an understatement. I felt a bit sick looking at it. But I asked for egg to simply be cooked a bit more, happy for it to be grilled even so it was edible. To my shock what came back was the main meal scrapped of the egg and 2 COLD hard boiled eggs sitting in the remnants of the raw egg. It was an abomination. Slop, bland, tasteless. No refund was offered, we paid and left. Needless to say we won’t be back, and wouldn’t recommend… I’ve never left a restaurant hungrier than I entered, horrible experience.

Spacious restaurant in a nice park in Torres Vedras. Seemed very popular with families. The food was good, as well as the service. Nothing outstanding but overall a good spot. The desserts were not great but the mains were very decent.

Great service! Ideal for celebrating a birthday. They were super attentive. Food came fast and was good. Right in front of the kids park, no noise, and a lot of greenery around.

I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant and trying their exquisite Duck Magret. The dish was an absolute delight, with perfectly cooked duck that was both tender and flavorful. The accompanying sauce complemented the meat beautifully, creating a harmonious blend of tastes. our first and last visit, we will not be rushing back, the staff was not very welcoming no smiles all seems very miserable. We had to wait for 20 minutes before asking if we could order drinks. The food wasn't enjoyable No customer service

This was recommended by someone at our hotel. We didn't end up dining here but the staff were very nice. They serve snacks and drinks during the hours of 3-7 pm while most restaurants in Portugal close during the hours.

Roots is in a very nice location right beside the park and the restaurant itself is definitely one of the most attractive looking ones in Torres Vedras. The service is also very good and friendly, even when the restaurant is very busy. However, the food that I had (sea bass) (!) was definitely no good value for money (EUR 18,00). One small, skin-on fillet and "strange tasting", deep fried brokkoli/cauliflower (maybe the frying oil was old or had been used for frying other - incompatible - items). I have been to Roots Restaurant a few times and the experiences were quite inconsistent. Maybe somebody wit experience should have a critical look at everything that is coming out of the kitchen.

We decided to locate a restaurant between Nazare to Lisbon airport for a late lunch on our last day. We were initially disappointed to realise that we had missed the lunch menu which finished at 3pm. Wow.....it didnt matter one bit...even with fussy kids, we were all sighted with the food. The waiter spoke great English and was very knowledgeable about the menu and wines. The place itself is fab, with the decor and furniture all very in keeping with the food served. The location beside the park and playground was very handy for families. The prices were very reasonable for the dishes we had, and with a really beautiful wine too. My one and only issue was smokers being close by just having coffee while others are eating. It would be nice to have a separate area for smokers, as it was a little unpleasant to have the flavour of cigarettes with my lovely desert. 🤢

Stylish spot next to a park! The food is good but my cod arrived slightly cold, and our waiter seemed a bit lost sometimes when we asked about the menu items. Overall, it’s a good choice especially for drinks if you’re in the area.

Creative take on classic dishes! Really nice service and ambiance, too. Great vegetarian selection as well and meat and fish dishes.

Probably one of the best restaurants i know. Amazing food, great service, nice location and nice decoration. I would recommend it to anyone. Different food if you like to try something different, but with surprising quality. Price in line with the quality, not cheap, but fair 👌

Incredible food at a reasonable price. Kind and helpful staff. Good mix of indoor and outdoor seating during the day and great list of drink options too! We could've finished our meal after the starters because we were so satisfied but the main fish options impressed us just as much! Will definitely come back again. Recommended!

We enjoyed a fantastic lunch meal. They offer a few changing lunch meals besides the regular menu. Interior is very charming and service was outstanding. On top food came really quick. One of the best restaurants I have been to in Portugal. Highly recommended!

In beautiful surroundings, in a green park, next to a children playground. Waiter was very kind, made suggestions for us to taste local food, which were all really good and special. You shouldn't miss the desert of the house, the "bean cake" with lime sourbet! It's delicious and something you can't it anywhere. As a vegetarian, the "vegetarian meatballs" are a great tasty choice. Highly recommended!

The food is great here. Nice ambience with a great decoration. Friendly staff. Parking is easy. Staff is very friendly and professional. Several options of wine. The desserts are all good also. Nice place to have a meal in Torres Vedras.

Nice staff. The Linguini was very good. Oats bubble cake is not sweet, if u want something sweet try the Nutella option.
