Unfortunately a disappointing spa hotel experience for my family. We were looking forward to 2 days and nights at the well spa hotel. The hotel is on the side of the beach, next to a river and other hotels and buildings. Reception is friendly, the rooms are spacious and stylish. The first disappointment was the view. The ocean view room we booked overlooked the parking lot, with a river behind it. The sea can only be seen from a side window, unfortunately this window was the only one that was extremely dirty. no coffee in the room and unfortunately hardly any possibilities to dry towels except for a small stand next to the shower. The spa area is a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a steam bath The sauna was broken and the steam room was a mini cabin with 4 seats, which kept cooling down after 2 minutes When asked if the sauna would work again tomorrow, it was unfortunately not said. We asked if it was possible to clean the ocean view window and we were promised that this would happen the next morning while we were having breakfast because unfortunately no one was there anymore. We booked another 1 hour massage for the next morning, planning our only full day of activities for our daughter around it The next day after breakfast the window was still dirty. At 11am I was waiting in a bathrobe in front of the spa treatment room but the door remained locked, a waiter asked at the reception and the lady up to tell me a massage was not possible. She apologized, saying she forgot to let us know and assured me that she would organize compensation for us. We were very disappointed but tried to make the best of the day. In the afternoon we still had no notice of a new appointment made for us for a massage offered by the hotel or any other compensation . I went back to reception and was only assured management would ask about it. From the evening still nothing, again I went to the staff but it was an apology and no solution. The window could not be cleaned when asked again. We booked the well spa hotel specifically for the sauna and massage treatments, my daughter and husband at least used the pool. In general, the hotel is nicely laid out, except for a wide range of fruit the breakfast is mediocre, as is the evening meal. The saddest thing for us was that you didn't feel seen as a guest. The employees don't seem to care if the stay is disappointing and they make no effort to find a simple compensation ,as has been experienced several times in other hotels Addendum to the hotel's response : Your answer s as disappointing as our stay with you, but nothing more was expected . I have booked the family sea suite, it says so in your confirmation email. There is no mention anywhere of a side view of the sea with dirty windows. It's a lie to say I didn't book the massage, it was confirmed to me the night before that my appointment at 11am the following day is possible. You can't just give away free massages??? but you can trade impressions in all areas and don't care about guests' vacations. Of course, your hotel will be compared and other hotels in fact react to mistakes that are clearly human, just much more professional. your own protocol is very disappointing as it conveys a sense of indifference to the guest

Room was lovely, modern and stylish, comfortable with a small balcony. Breakfast had lots of fresh fruit as well as cooked items and homemade cakes. Somewhat let down by drippy pool ceiling and some out of order facilities. Not much to do nearby but right next to a small picturesque beach. Great if you enjoy watching waves.

It was an impulsive decision to stay here but a very good call. Location wise very relaxing, the service was friendly and the rooms were really nice. The spa was thrilling to our youngest and very relaxing to the elderly. The breakfast was amazing and we had dinner at the restaurant, but learned it was probably the last time they'd serve dinners. At dinner the apple strudel was just incredible!

Wir hatten eine schöne, geräumige Suite in der ersten Etage mit Balkon und seitlichem Meerblick. Es ist ein süßes kleines Hotel mit Pool und sogar Sauna und Dampfbad. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit vielen leckeren Früchten. Der Service ist sehr gut. Es sind viele Portugiesen im Hotel und wenige Ausländer. Die Lage am Meer ist einmalig.

We spent 3 days in the hotel with my husband and our daughter (15 months). If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy time together. This hotel is the real deal. The room was beautifully designed, we had a classic room, which was large enough and very well designed - plenty of storage space. The staff always tried to be helpful. A unique breakfast that everyone can choose from. Soup is offered for lunch and you can choose from several courses for dinner. All the food we tried was excellent. Wellness - great! Very warm water in the pool and hot tub. Last but not least, I would highly recommend a massage! The lady who massaged me was amazing. It was one of the best massages I've ever had! Thanks, we were definitely not the last!

It was a very nice stay! Very relaxing and cosy. The room was spacious. The staff was incredible and always in a good mood! The breakfast had a lot of options.

It is a very nice hotel but the service and attention are not the best. The jacuzzi in my room stopped working and the bathroom door was broken and they couldn't fix it or improve it. It is a new hotel in the industry, it is understandable but in this way they will not be able to advance.

We went with the penthouse for a special weekend. The room was clean and bright. I almost felt guilty with such a huge jacuzzi tub looking out onto the ocean. My only complaint is with the room service. The girl working the night we ordered had not been trained to make food or drinks and apparently she was the only one on duty that night. So nice to walk directly to the beach from our room within about two minutes.

Unfriendly reception, strange smell in the room, air conditioning that could not cool the room, resulting in a very warm room (very unpleasant to sleep in), basic breakfast, price too high for what the hotel room was, not recommended

Price to quality was excellent. Best breakfast I've had in a not-luxury-hotel. Staff was super sweet. Great attention to details

Overall my wife and I agree with most points of Mrs. Furtado review. The hotel pitches itself a couple of notches above it's punch. The Spa is not a Spa, it's just a pool with a tiny cold "jacuzzito", a broken sauna and a the funniest tiny cold hamman you've ever seen. The room "jacuzzi" is not a jacuzzi by any standards, just a large tub with a noisy system to make bubbles. The view is what it is, we ended up having a decent view on their suite 304 (surprisingly even sunset view..) but the first "suite" they gave us (205, supposedly on the same category..) was nowhere close to expectations.. breakfast was good, but a few "homemade" products seemed expired or otherwise inedible. Overall, I think the hotel category is correct.. value for money so so, it's fine for a one night stay but don't get too excited.

The whole hotel is very original and contemporary with great modern solutions and ideas for rooms and facilities. The gym and spa area are great, and so is the breakfast. I wish I stayed for longer so could have enjoyed the hotel and the beach better. Great experience, totally worth it!

It seems that they don’t need any new clients. I’ve tried to make an appointment for massage fir two person during 2 weeks. But there are no answers on calls and on Instagram I got the ignoring me as well even after starting the conversation. I disappointed with the service even don’t have ability to try it. Unfortunately can’t attach the screenshots of conversations in Instagram

Great experience, with just a minus at our room. Awesome breakfast - a lot of variety, high quality products. Very nice spa area with warm and clean pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Modern decor with good taste. The room is great BUT we had troubles sleeping because it gets too hot and pillows are high and rigid.

Really bad! There is nothing like wellness or recovering. It's more like fun and swim. If you are looking for a quite place to relax, I definitely wouldn't recommend this! This is only for the wellness are - I didn't stay there for a overnight.

The hotel and its positive minded staff certainly deserve a 4th Star! The location directly at the seaside is just superb, the breakfast is of high quality and the design is very modern. Also big a big + for the well equipped gym!

A *well* deserved 4 stars. The remote but still accessible location are amazing. A modern hotel and spa with friendly staff and great amenities with a very private segment of beach. It is away from town but still only about a 15 minute drive from wineries, the cute town of Lourinha with the dinosaur museum, and more active beaches with rentals like Santa Cruz. There are also three tiny but worthy restaurants attached to the hotel that are excellent and very affordable- with ample outdoor seating on the beach. My only complaints are the rooms themselves- while huge- have significant ventilation issues. It is a new and modern building with Air Conditioning, however it does not really work well, and their is no ventilation in the rest rooms. The air inside feels stale and rough. This isn’t enough to ruin your trip, but you’ll start to notice a scratchy throat and have problems sleeping after a couple of days.

Modern and spacious renovated rooms. Cleanliness good, not spotless though. Spa was good, basic and not really exceptional! Did work well though with the sauna and steam room. All employees super friendly. AMAZING BREAKFAST! Better than a 5star, comparable to even the best hotels. Hotel is a bit isolated from anything around. Plenty of free parking, and nice beach just at front. + for the breakfast -the flies in the hotel room?!

The location is perfect. The hotel is spotless - really clean - the cleaning staff were thorough and efficient. Breakfast is AMAZING - everyone catered for - a banquet of fresh fruit for the healthy people and lots of fattening bread, cheese and cakes for me. All of the staff were first class - very welcoming and professional - they really made the hotel a lovely place to stay. Why only 4 stars??? Maybe we went at the peak holiday time but it was a bit on the expensive side....our stay at the Sheraton (Lisbon) was 25% cheaper.
