I
was
thrown
out
of
a
class
for
not
taking
a
position
quickly
enough,
not
following
instructions.
I
was
trying
to
modify
a
position
which
was
causing
me
some
discomfort
&
which
I,
having
done
it
before,
know
is
a
bit
of
a
challenge
for
me.
I
think
the
instructor
was
upset
because,
when
I
first
arrived,
she
explained
that
the
âdĂ©couverteâ
price
did
not
apply
to
me,
because
I
am
not
from
France
-
it
is
only
for
French
people.
Perfectly
fine,
it
was
probably
on
the
website
which
I
read
while
on
the
train
&
likely
did
not
read
carefully.
But
from
this
moment
she
was
suspicious
of
me.
She
tried
to
come
into
the
dressing
room
with
her
computer
to
âshow
me
she
was
honest,
and
that
this
policy
is
written!â
Ok
ok,
but
I
am
in
my
bra,
here?
Anyway,
halfway
through
the
class
she
couldnât
stand
my
face
anymore
and
just
told
me
to
get
out.
Unless
youâre
not
from
France
this
probably
wonât
happen
to
you
at
all,
but
perhaps
it
speaks
to
general
lack
of
ambiance
and
warmth.
I
was
still
getting
dressed
when
the
instructor
called
me
âweirdâ
to
the
rest
of
the
class.
It
was
humiliating.
And
in
case
this
is
a
question:
while
my
spoken
french
is
not
perfect,
certainly,
I
understand
instructions
and
can
carry
on
simple
conversations
easily.
This
is
of
course
much
harder
when
my
interlocutor
hates
me,
though.
Edit:
it
is
a
terribly
bad
look
to
respond
to
the
charge
that
you
have
thrown
a
student
out
of
class
by
saying
that
said
student
was
âin
psychological
and
physical
difficultyâ
and
therefore
should
leave
-
donât
we
all
come
to
yoga
for
just
this
reason
-
to
heal?
And
if
I
was
âbothering
the
other
studentsâ
how
was
this
demonstrated?
I
came
in,
had
the
conversation
previously
mentioned
regarding
the
price,
which
was
initiated
by
the
instructor,
agreed
on
all
counts,
put
on
a
t
shirt
and
laid
on
a
mat.
I
followed
instructions
exactly
until
we
arrived
at
a
deep
stretch
that
caused
pain
(it
was
an
all
levels
course
&
it
seems
reasonable
that
if
some
stretches
are
too
difficult,
they
should
be
modified).
I
said
nothing
until
the
instructor
said
to
me
âif
you
donât
like
it
you
can
leave.
I
then
asked
her
âdo
you
want
me
to
leave?â
And
she
said
yes,
and
I
did,
quietly,
careful
to
avoid
bothering
the
other
students.
She
however
used
my
silence
to
call
me
names
while
I
was
dressing.
It
was
a
hideous
experience.
I
was
frustrated
and
looked
at
previous
reviews
for
this
place.
Unsurprisingly,
the
last
time
someone
was
upset
with
her
(for
calling
her
studio
a
âPilates
studioâ
-
itâs
true,
they
donât
really
offer
that)
she
hit
back
twice
as
hard
in
the
same
way
she
did
with
me:
telling
them
they
were
âaggressiveâ
and
had
ânot
submitted
themselves
to
yogaâ
-
that
just
does
not
seem
ok
at
all
