Ordered one snails and one salad for starters, one cassoulet and one cuttlefish for main courses. All very delicious! And the service are also great! They are very nice and friendly, and speak surprisingly no accent English. Really wonderful experience.

A nice traditional restaurant with excellent and tasty food. You can enjoy a nice cassoulet, magret de canard, saucisses of Toulouse and the homemade fois gras 😍. The staff is very friendly and helpful they can explain you what you can try. Thank you for the lovely and tasteful experience ❤️

Fabulous meal, one of the best and best priced we've had in France in a month of travelling! We had the set menu with salads, beef steak and Cassoulet and flan and apple pie style dessert. Lovely service too!

Tucked away in a little side street in the middle is this lovely restaurant. really warm, comfortable, and cosy. flawless assistance. The dish was so good that we didn't even save any leftovers. We would very certainly come back if we weren't on vacation for a few days. reasonable costs.

Extraordinaire! Very cozy and comfortable place with warm and welcoming service. The food is great, typical french stuff, most of it from the region. I tried the Cassoulet and it was great, my wife had the entrecôte and was also very happy. On top of it all the prizing is fair.

good - nice waitress, she definitely tried to accommodate us when we tried speaking half French / English - good menu options for different budgets - quality of starters and mains are good - the duck pate as a starter is quite a powerful starter - duck is definitely the main ingredient in the menu, which attracted us - the duck confit is done really well - glad they had the cassoulet, definitely worth a try and I was surprised that it had so many beans in it - proper spacious seating - bathroom is good - price is well affordable could be better - more toast with the duck pate - the orange saus was a bit too bitter - the vanilla ice cream didn't really have a full vanilla taste

If I could give 10 stars I would. Such a wonderful lunch here, sharing two different menus. Bottle of wine, two three course meals only 55€. The waitress was fantastic, very pleasant, and always with a smile on her face, very amiable. Busy with locals having business lunches, or meeting family, can see why this is a top rated place. We'll be back!

Ordered the cassoulet du chef for two as we wanted to try a local dish and were not disappointed! Big portion and very delicious. With 16€ per person on the more expensive side of the menu but worth it. Very friendly service too!

Tucked a bit away from the crowd at the major sights you find this restaurant Where you can try local dishes in a more lays back location. The local food is good but not fancy or anything, and I guess it’s just how it would be if cooked on the country. The menu is not too big either and they offer some different sort of menu combinations. Price is absolutely reasonable.

Food was perfect and great portion for the price honestly i think they could charge more for the portions they offer but hay i’m not complaining. I got a cassoulet and a dessert and it was 21 euros. Most other places that have cassoulet sell it for 25-40 euros for the same portion. great location to add if you travel to toulouse.

Quite the hidden gem in Toulouse the food is very traditional and has excellent food. They have a range of traditional foods and I would recommend the cassoulet(duck confit,a meaty Toulouse sausage in a dish of haricot beans) this meal is very hearty+guarantee your satisfaction. The ice cream and fondant was very high quality but the apple crumble wasn't as good due to the weak and chewy texture compare to an ideal crunchy texture

Wonderful meal! Everything we were hoping for and more. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive. Wine recommendations were spot on. Traditional French food. We will return.

When in Toulouse... Definitely had to try cassoulet at a place with great ratings and where locals dine... Had the set menu - pan fried foie gras then cassoulet... Oh yes! Food was great, service awesome. I totally dig the duck confit in the cassoulet I'll have a 2nd serving if I wasn't stuffed from the good portion size. Highly recommend if you find yourself in Toulouse!

I came here specifically for the Cassoulet, and was happy I did. The place was recommended by different people, and while the spacious interior may be not be in line while current trends, the food was stunning and the service pleasant.

More of a traditional and less fancy place. I went in because I wanted to try cassoulet. It was good and exactly what I expected. I also got a duck leg with orange sauce (that came with a lot of potatoes — thank you for that!) and a panna cotta for a dessert. Oh, I also got a chèvre cheese salad for an appetizer which I ended up not eating because chèvre turned out to be French for a goat haha. But it’s my preference and not restaurant’s fault.

A very good restaurant, hidden from the main roads and is known mostly to locals (we were the only couple who WASN'T local). The food is delicious, the portions enormous and the prices reasonable. A Toulouse secret to remember!

We had an amazing experience at Au Gaston. The waitresses were amazing, I loved the suggestions and all the tips about the city and the local cuisine. I strongly suggest the Cassoulet and the Duck on Orange. The desserts were amazing and the salads are truly delicious! I felt we embraced the Ville en Rose spirit each time we visited!

We got a recommendation from our hotel for traditional food. I find the price and value are great. But i feel the duck in my cassoulet was too tough. The starters were good. The service is great.
