The atmosphere was beautiful. A lovely garden setting. We ordered the tasting menu with accompanying wine. I love French food and service. The food here however was the most bland and boring I have had in years anywhere in the world. Even the bread to accompany the food was cold and hard. The meal, was bland and tasteless. The fish had no flavour and the rabbit had lots of potential but no flavour. The desert was just a bit of sponge with some flourishes of small but tasty piped cream. The wines were small tasting portions rather than a normal glass. The most attentive waiter was the wine waiter. The rest of the waiters did not get us more water, butter for the bread or even salt / pepper when we asked. We had to keep asking again and again. The high ratings may be warranted but not for our table and visit this time. France usually has such delicious food, wine and service especially for such a highly ranked restaurant.

Absolutely delicious food and the best part is they have ‘Menu Végétal’ which we had chosen to eat. Each and everything was plant based and made from scratch. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary there and the staff was so thoughtful that they lit a candle with greetings on our desert. Perfect ambiance and perfect place to celebrate our special day. Definitely recommended.

Gourmet restaurant with beautiful terrace. Reservations necessary. Fully vegetarian menu available as well as non-veg. Tasting menus also available with multiple courses and wine pairings. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Excellent choice for a special occasion.

I read the experience of Sam Allen from a few days ago, and it did make me a bit wary about our booking. I needn’t have worried. This was a first class meal with a excellent service and a quite marvellous view over the Garonne. I have eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants and Pois was right up there. If it were in England it would definitely have its star! Maybe the competition in France is harder. I would add two things. First the price was very reasonable. Second the wine quantities were fine; I had no complaints about the amount poured into our glasses.

For a good, class and exceptional meal in Toulouse this is the restaurant to go to. Food was outstanding, wine was excellent and well presented and explained. Even in these difficult times Au Pois Gourmand is an oasis of calm and excellence.

We were there for lunch and had the three-course menu with the recommended two glasses of wine. The experience is amazing. The service is prompt and friendly, the ambiance very beautiful, and the food.... simply perfect. A memorable gourmet meal!

Set away from the commercial part of the town . Well renovated old building changed into a restaurant on two floors. The staff are very welcoming snd knowledge whilst the food is very good. Well presented, tasty and interesting. The housekeeping needs upgrading, but very well worth a visit.

We had the 5 course menu with myself opting for the vegetarian menu at €50. A decent price for a tasting menu and there was another menu we could have had that was around the €90 mark. The wine pairing was well worth it, at €22 for 3 glasses and all were absolutely delicious. Ultimately, we really enjoyed 2/5 of the dishes on either menu (both of us enjoying the mushroom based dish the most - they're very good at cooking mushrooms!) with 3 being mediocre. I think that the vegetarian menu was lacking and there was probably more value and creativity in the meat menu. That being said it wasn't a bad meal by any stretch, it just wasn't as good as we had hoped for based on the reviews. Worth also noting that the aervice was great and location was gorgeous.

I’ve taken the lunch menu. The starter foie Gras was really delicious, and the service was top. of course we pay more compared to many other restaurants. But it’s definitely worth, will surely go back and try other menus if I visit Toulouse again.

I have organised a business lunch in the restaurant. From appetizer to dessert all went perfectly. Food is exquisite. I had muschrooms with lard, Dorade for main dish and for dessert. It was very delicious and everyone enjoyed tearing au Pois Gourmand.. We also add different type of wine and champagne. I fully recommend the restaurant. (I would even add further stars to my review) Everyone will definitely come back to the restaurant

Idyllic riverside location for a birthday meal. Very well-executed French food with a few surprises. The tartare of langoustine and the chocolate and passionfruit dessert were particularly good. Very competent chef. The front of house were professional and very welcoming, accommodating my poor French with a smile. Great experience.

Awesome restaurant, amazing food. The Langoustine tasting menu is highly recommended, especially mixing White Chocolate with Yuzu and Cream, outstanding. For some reason our UBER driver said expensive and not good. Whoever told him that is MISTAKEN. The food is exceptional and value for money considering the effort that goes into producing such beautiful delicious food. Thank-you for looking after us, especially my good friend who had travelled all the way from Tasmania and she loved it too

We took menu vegetal for Christmas. C’était parfait. The flavours were amazing. It was for our first anniversary and the staff put in their efforts to make it special. The staff was super polite too. Hoping to visit again.

Beautiful spot! Was lovely sitting by the river having dinner, tasting menu was great, we didn't have much french but the staff were so accommodating and went out of their way to explain the dishes in English to us.

My wife and I stopped in Toulouse over night in order to visit Au Pois Gourmand for her Birthday. We were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent and we highly recommend the menus.
