Attention il n'est pas facile de se garer , les chambres sont très agréables, propres et joliment décorées. Malheureusement, l'hôtesse est peu conciliante, aucun petit geste d'accueil même pas un rafraîchissement en arrivant, nous n'avons pas pu profité de l'extérieur moustiques assurés et accueil pas très sympathique. Lors d'un court séjour nous avons passé une nuit sur la péniche Amboise..Excellent accueil de notre hôtesse en plus pas d'autres locataires pour la nuit donc la péniche pour nous.. Calme nuit sur le canal du midi..Tout l'équipement nécessaire est disponible..Petit déjeuner excellent avec du pain frais, c'était parfait 🥰

I went to Toulouse for work, but decided to stay at Peniche Amboise as I had never stayed at a boat-hotel. And I was not disappointed. The communication with Marie about the check in was very easy. We spoke over messages first and then in person, in English. As that was my first day in Toulouse, she helped me to learn how to get my bus to arrive at my conference the next day. She answered all my questions patiently, explained how everything works, and over the next days was an excellent host, making sure the breakfast was served at the right time so I didn't miss anything from my conference. The rooms are perfect for one or two people. The shower is warm and the water pressure works great. There are heater and air con, but I did not need. The weather was very mild. I thought there would be insects for being in a canal, but to my surprise I slept with the windows open and I did not see a single insect. You can hear a little noise from other rooms, but the other guests were polite and I hardly heard them. Maybe the only thing I noticed that maybe some people could have issues was the lack of a door for the bathroom (which does not bother). The Wi-Fi worked great too once I configured it to 2.4 GHz, as it was dropping a bit - it was probably using 5 GHz and getting some interference from walls, water, etc. Ah, and only once I noticed the boat rocking a little bit. Very little. You cannot tell you are in a hotel. Will definitely stay again at Peniche Amboise. Already recommended to my co-workers. Merci Marie!

We arrived early and returned later as our room wasn't ready. Be aware that the parking on the side of the canal is limited and difficult especially with a larger car. We managed to park eventually. When we checked in Marie was welcoming and helpful with advice of where to go and what to do. She provided maps and books for the area. The boat is very well furnished with little touches that show attention to detail. Our cabin was small, but clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom (bath and shower) and toilet has no door, but there is a communal (for 3 cabins) toilet available.There were plug-in mosquito repellents in the cabin, and mosquito coils on the deck if sitting out in the evening. Breakfast was generous, there was a communal fridge for compote/yoghurt etc. We kept our wine there. Marie was available at breakfast and during the day when needed. Only issue was very intermittent wifi. Would recommend as unusual and pretty accommodation in Toulouse.
