What an amazing tour! My husband and I did the Tour with Alex of the Victor Hugo Market and what an amazing experience! Alex was so kind, personable and really made the entire experience a 10/10. We would have never gotten the full taste of the market without his knowledge and relationships with vendors. Truly a wonderful experience and I look forward to booking another tour while I am here in Toulouse! Everything we tasted was unique and really provided a great start to our visit. Alex is the best!

Joined Jessica's Taste of Toulouse tour and I'm very happy I did! Biggest takeaway is no longer being overwhelmed by the cheese shop! Huge win. The various samples at the end were plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone traveling and interested in France and its markets.

We had a fabulous experience going around the different venders and tasting some amazing food and wine. Real look at how the locals shop and socialise. The market is large, interesting and fun. Our tour guide Ally was amazing!!

The Wine Bar Tour with Jessica was fabulous! She is so knowledgeable about not only wine but also about Toulouse in general. We learned a lot and had an opportunity to try five delicious wines, visit three delightful wine bars, and see the city through the eyes of someone who has been here a long time and really knows her stuff. We participated in the Toulouse wine bar tour. Jessica was a friendly, knowledgeable guide. She knows French wines and Toulouse very well! The wines we tasted were all delicious and the charcuterie board was more than enough for the group. The final tasting at Le 5 wine bar allowed each of us to taste wines of our choosing! My 11-year-old granddaughter had one full day in Toulouse, and we are so glad we chose an afternoon with Jessica and Taste of Toulouse. Jessica's selections of places to visit seem to have been personally selected for us! Not only were the pastries delightful, her sharing of history and cultural insights about Old Town Toulouse were so interesting. We loved it. Such a nice "off the beaten path" personal and different way to experience the sweetest side of the personality of Toulouse.

Jessica did a fantastic job. Even though it was raining and there were only 2 people total on the tour, she patiently guided us through the market giving us the inside scoop on how to recognize and order French food like the locals do. The choices made for a delicious meal in the end.

We live in Toulouse, and discovered Taste of Toulouse thanks to a gift from our children. We did the Chocolate and Pastry tour, it was a great experience, we learned a lot with Jessica about our city and the best places to go for high quality chocolate and pastries. Loved the Wine Bar Tour of Toulouse, where we visited three cozy wine bars in the heart of the city and learned so much about the regional wines and the city itself. Thank you to Jessica who personalizes each tour making it so memorable.

We had a great tour with Jessica. Our group was small and friendly , Jessica was great at sharing her knowledge of the local food traditions and go-to places and the picnic she curated for us at the end was so delicious. A couple of tips for future participants - just know that you will be eating mostly at the end of the tour instead of grazing as you go so eat accordingly before joining and take this tour at the beginning of your Toulouse stay. Jessica provides so many great recommendations for other places to visit - we wish we'd had more time to check those places out.

Victor Hugo Marche tour - our group of three couples all LOVED this tour. Jessica is extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. It was liking having a friend who knows a lot about French food and culture. We loved everything she showed us and we found the information we got from her on the tour very useful for the rest of our stay in France. I can’t recommend her highly enough. If you are in Toulouse and have the chance to do any of her tours you should do it!

Jessica Hammer really knows food and has an impressive grasp of all levels of edibles in her adopted city. Her Taste of Toulouse tours are absolutely wonderful, at least as far as we can tell from the one devoted to “Chocolate and Pastry.” My wife and I thought we knew Toulouse pretty well, but we were astounded by the places that we visited with her. This is not a tour that helps you just identify a “religieuse” or a “mille-feuille”: we’re talking about Michelin star-level chocolate and pastry shops. I recommend this tour to anyone interested in the sweeter side of food, even native Toulouse residents. For those who are coming from outside the area, it might be of interest to know that the tour also hits many of the most beautiful places in the “ville rose.” I can’t recommend Taste of Toulouse highly enough!

This was one of the best food and find tours I have been on! I travel a lot for work and try to do food tours in the cities I visit. Jessica was an amazing guide. She has exceptional knowledge of the culture, history, food and wine of the region. This was much more than a normal tasting. The food and wine were great and I also learned so much. I am so happy I choose this tour. Will definitely be doing another tour with Taste of Toulouse on my next visit to the area!

Jessica is absolutely adorable, and very knowledgable. Even though I am half French and already know some things about the culture, she could answer every question I had, and she taught me a lot of things I did not know about the food culture of Toulouse! This was an excellent experience. Jessica gave an informative tour of the market, introduced us to new foods, and was very knowledgeable about French culture. This is a good tour for people who are visiting or who have just moved to France. My wife and I have lived in Toulouse for several months now and wished we had taken the tour when we arrived, because we now know many things we would not have picked up on our own.

My husband and I arrived in Toulouse a few weeks ago for our honeymoon, and despite diving into lots of research on where and what to eat in Toulouse, we felt we would benefit from taking part in the Taste of Toulouse food tour on our first day to give us a sense of the area, the people, and of course the food! Doing the tour with Jessica on our first day was a fantastic way to kick off our time in beautiful Toulouse (and it was especially wonderful that the tour started off with a fresh chocolatine!). Jessica was warm and friendly, and told us all about the history of Toulouse, Victor Hugo Market, and the food and culture of the city. Jessica was incredibly knowledgable, organized, and happy to answer any questions that we had. There was so much information packed into the tour, and we learned so many interesting facts that would have certainly been difficult to obtain through our own research. The true highlight of the tour was the end where Jessica put together an unbelievable spread of market favourites that included dried Toulouse sausage, foie gras, baguette, paté en croute, a stunning cheese selection from Xavier Fromager, along with a red and white wine pairing. Every item that Jessica selected was carefully curated to represent the best of Toulouse, and was truly spectacular! The tour was an absolute treat to take part in and was so helpful to help us enjoy snacking at Victor Hugo Market and Xavier Fromager throughout the rest of our stay in Toulouse. I have gone on both the Marche Victor Hugo tour and the Chocolate and Pastry tour. Both were great. The Marche Victor Hugo was a fantastic way to experience a french market. Not only did we learn great things about the food and vendors, but we also got to taste a wide variety of foods. We tried meats, wine, and baguette/pastries. But my favorite was the cheeses! The tour was great, and now I feel more confident shopping on my own. The chocolate and pastry tour was divine! We tasted so many delightful goodies, including a cake unique to the area, which is now one of my new favorites! The tours were great and best of all Jessica sends an email with a list of all the shops we visited and what we ate. Definitely book a tour - Grab your friend, a water bottle, and your walking shoes - and get ready for a wonderful time.

We booked a private tour to get hints about the best restaurants to visit during our two week working visit. Jessica not only took us on a long walk to show some of her favourite places to eat, she also sent us an email the day after with more options. This tour is just a must when you are a foodie - and even when you are not. You learn all kinds of details about French food and of course the best part about it, is that you can also try everything from Foie Gras to Chocolatine. Jessica is great and adapting to all needs. Totally recommendable!

Jessica’s tour of the Marché Victor Hugo is exceptional and well worth your time and money. Not only is the day full of delicious food, but Jessica has done so much to make what can sometimes be an intimidating environment for those new to French cuisine or who don’t speak French into a space for learning and discovery; she is organized, accommodating, and you can see how much she’s become part of the local community by how she interacts with the vendors in the market. We left feeling like we genuinely had new knowledge about what to look for when choosing bread and cheese and wine, which far exceeded our expectations. If you’re in Toulouse, even for only a day or two, this is a great way to learn a bit about the city and its history as well as Southwest France and its unique cuisine.

Talk about a great tour! We went to the Marché Victor Hugo tour as our first introduction to Toulouse and really loved it. Jessica was so knowledgeable not only about the market but about the city and its food culture as a whole. She made the tour interesting, relaxing, and fun over the span of almost four hours. I had a great time with my parents, and I would recommend to anyone coming to Toulouse as an introduction experience in the city!
