Very slow service. First time having Ethiopian food and the dishes were nice but a really long wait for everything. Had wanted to try their coffee too but couldn't bear to wait any longer 😅

The food was just perfect. Tasty and good portions. The restaurant was almost full and the waiter was alone but he was really nice. We will definitely come again.

An absolute delight! The owner is quite the multilinguist and he's very hospitable. The atmosphere and lighting is very cozy and welcoming, and you feel quite immersed in Ethiopian culture. Service was quick and the food was very tasty! It was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and I think anyone who enjoys Indian food and is open to new things, will have a very good time here. For vegans the selection offers a nice variety of vegetables and different proteins, which you don't find very often. I'm definitely coming back.

Such a wonderful treat to find this simple, family run and delicious restaurant in Toulouse. I was even able to reserve online through Google. If you like ethnic food and are a little adventurous and willing to try some homemade and tasty Ethiopian food, this is the place for you. We shared this fabulous food.

Cozy ambiance, friendly waitress and boss, lovely food. If you are someone (like me) who really loves spicy food, tell them, they will give you some additional spicy (and delicious) sauce. Definitely to try the honey beer (mead) and the Ethiopian spiced tea.

Very good, tasty food. Very busy on a Saturday night, with not enough people to easily serve all the customers. We agreed to place all our orders on one large communal plate in the middle of our table of 5. Next to us a table of 6 chose to have their food on individual plates, and they appeared to have considerably more per person than the large communal plate. We all said we would ask for individual plates next time. Very enjoyable food, good value for money.

Loved our dining experience here. From the food to the drinks and service, everything was perfect. A portion of the menu is vegetarian and we were told there are more vegetarian dishes being introduced soon. We tried Beyaynetu and Shiro. I highly recommend both the dishes. For drinks, do try the Tedji, a fermented Ethiopien sweet wine served traditionally. They host coffee sessions every Sunday afternoon which I am really looking forward to attend sometime. Keep in mind, the service is slow but the spirit makes up for it.

The best Ethiopian food I’ve had anywhere in Europe After living in Addis Ababa for eight years, I crave good home-cooked Ethiopian food and seek it out when I travel for work (Geneva, Barcelona, NL and Germany all over). But this is gorgeous food, with the best injera and beyenatu (especially the perfect alicha wot) I’ve eaten outside ET. You won’t regret supporting this lovely owner. Highly recommended: if you are trying Ethiopian food for the first time, you’re in for a treat. Traditional coffee ceremony at lunchtime on weekends, too.

Very nice place. I am from Ethiopian origin and the food is like back home. The service was amazing and the prices are very reasonable for big quantities served. I am sooo happy to finally have an Ethiopian Restaurant in my city and will surely come back often. ♥️♥️♥️

We were genuinely impressed by our experience at Abyssinia Restaurant Ethiopien. The gentleman who served us was friendly, attentive and passionate about his food. He took time to explain the menu in order to give us the best experience possible. The food was outstanding - authentic, flavorful and filling. We will be going back for more 10/10

This is the first time a restaurant made me write a review and I have to say, everything was just perfect. I didn’t know any of the food so the waiter gladly helped me to pick a meal. It looked beautiful and everything on the plate was delicious. I had a great talk with the owner/waiter, who was able to speak english really well as well. Definitely a must go if u want to try something new and different.
