Berges de la Garonne

Tourist attraction

👍👍 In the middle of the city of Toulouse you can do some nice birding along the river Garonne. It is a great place to sit around and relax. Evening time environment is so good. People play guitar, music, drink beer and dance there. It is more crowded and happening in summer evenings.

Beautiful place, convenient for walking your dog with water all along. Small weak point, there are Bulgarian or Albanian camps on the way, and the path is therefore often crowded at this point. Otherwise, it's a nice path to visit and easy to access to connect the sea bream - the staduim or the kanoé-kayac club.

This is one of the most beautiful postcards from TOULOUSE. An undeniable advantage for a city to be crossed by a large river with, however, serious protection against flooding. In the center of the city, from the majestic quays, we only have eyes for the dome of LA GRAVE. the imposing pediment of LA DORADE, the bubbling water on LE BAZACLE or the magnificent urban landscape that we admire from the PONT des CATALANS or the PONT ST MICHEL. But the magic of the GARONNE can just as easily delight the walker further upstream or downstream with, here, a path at the water's edge or there, on the imposing dikes, a bike ride while overlooking the river. There is only one downside to these enchantments: the cleanliness of the banks as well as the water on the shore which, too often, leaves something to be desired. Damage !

Perfect place to rest, have a drink and enjoy the city while sunset. Actually it’s perfect at any time of the day 😂 Nights over there are kind of alive as people go there for walks and meet with their friends. Here is where you can feel the city the most!

J'adore lieu emblématique de Toulouse, mais attention à la chaleur mais aussi au future pluie qui peuvent devenir dangereuses.

When the weather is nice, it's always a pleasure to take the time to stroll along the Garonne. A must do if you are passing through Toulouse.

A magnificent place that I was able to visit with friends. Calm during the day, lively in the evening

Endroit magnifique dommage que les gens continuent de prendre le fleuve pour une poubelle à ciel ouvert. Les berges sont remplies de canettes/bouteilles/capsules de bière et autres déchets.
