Take it from someone who knows Italian restaurants after successfully owning one for over 30 years- this little gem is a real find! The food, the wine, the welcome,the atmosphere and the sheer devotion that Ali and his staff give- is absolutely faultless. Ignore anyone who hasn't given full Mark's - the produce is fresh and and they know exactly what they're doing. As always, cant fault venezia in any way whatsoever. Can’t fault!! From the moment we walked into this restaurant to leaving we could not fault our experience at all! The service was top notch, friendly, welcoming and fun! The feeling I got was they would do anything to ensure you had the best experience. Drink order came straight away and that gave us time to look over their amazing menu! The food was presented beautifully and was hot and tasted amazing. I have been to Italian restaurants before that state their food is fresh (most of the time it isn’t and is frozen) and you could DEFINITELY tell this food is fresh and made with love. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fun and enjoyable. They would dim the lights slightly to sing happy birthday and it made everyone feel included, by the end of the night all tables were speaking to each other and it felt like one big family. Would highly recommend Venezia to anybody that loves authentic Italian cuisine and a beautifully clean restaurant.

First time I've been here for a long time. The staff are very friendly and helpful as is the owner. The menu is varied should be enough to satisfy any Italian food lover . I had the linguini with bacon and mushrooms which was very nice. All in all a pleasant evening . Well worth a visit. I will be coming back as I sat near the open kitchen and there were plenty of other dishes I would like to try..😃 Thanks.

Food and service excellent but could have done with the heating turning up

Food delicious....but it was so cold in the restaurant....they need to sort it out..some of us ate with our coats on hence the 4 stars.

We use this restaurant for our Friday night takeaway. All done through their app. Food is spot on and very tasty.

Very quiet for a Friday night. Good service (probably because it was so quiet). Starters were fine (garlic bread & meat balls) however, the chicken was over cooked and dry for two of the mains that were ordered. Because it was so quiet there was no atmosphere and it was very cold in the restaurant, we had to sit with our coats on and we had cold feet.

Food took a while to arrive, but it was nice when it did. A good place to meet up with family members

Very slow service....got starter an hour after arriving...only one waitress taking orders....not her fault...need more waiters. My steak was rare despite asking for it medium

Used to be great a few months back but last visit seems like the food has took a dive in quality...shame as I really liked this place. Back to borello in sale now as they never disappoint

Even on a quiet Tuesday you get a warm greeting and great food. Nice starters of house pate and the goats cheese ( good portions) washed down with Prosecco. All highly recommend - use our local restaurants when you can or we will lose them.

Our dozen enjoyed a great birthday dining get together here, with both meat and vegetarian dishes greatly appreciated by everyone. Compliments to the staff for their excellent service and meal preparations 🙂

I absolutely love, love, love this restaurant. I have been coming here over the last 25 years. It has changed hands over this time, and the current new owner has renovated the property, changed the menu, and has kept the atmosphere and service first class. My sister was over from Australia, so we booked early and had a great evening as a family together. Thank you so much. We'll be back soon.

Ordered two takeaway calzone, service was okay and fairly quick from order to receiving food. However on opening the boxed calzone ordered with salad I saw what can only be described as a sad folded bit of dough sat in a large puddle of water, the sauce within the calzone was also bland and watery and for 20 quid without even sitting in I would expect more. As I did not eat in i cannot comment on the atmosphere but the staff were okay

We had a really good experience at the restaurant. The service was top notch by a gentleman not sure of his name. Also the food was good with big portions and reasonable prices.

Been to Venezia tonight, the food was absolutely gorgeous, garlic bread half tomatoes half plain, crisp bottom and stunning flavours, lasagne best ever, huge portion (took half home), prawn spaghetti friend said equally excellent, a lemoncello to finish served by the lovely smiley polite Chloé, will 100% be back, Thankyou xxx

A disaster. My son's meal did not turn up which we ordered as a takeaway. I called the restaurant and they said they would deal with it. Never did, did not receive the meal and the restaurant did not answer my calls. I will not order again at this restaurant.

What’s happened to this place??? Has it changed owners as it used to be good? Absolutely shocking food, terrible, several family members have been I’ll in the night and the next day. Will not be coming back!

Takeaway ordered, no delivery 2 hours later, once chased up delivery arrived cold and incorrect. Insufficient service, will never be ordering from Venezia again.

What an excellent Italian restaurant.the food is absolutely beautiful.it was very busy due to multiple parties.even so the service was still excellent.tge staff are very good and helpful.located on the main road with bus stops nearby.

Absolutely stunning! Food quality is brilliant and keeps it quality with a takeaway (lockdown). Me and my partner miss our date nights to the restaurant. Ordered a meal at 5.45pm....still not here at 8.40! "we're a driver down, it will be with you soon" was the answer we got when we rang at 6.15....now they are answering the phone and putting it straight down! absolutely disgusted.

The seafod risotto was exceptional. It was slightly spicy and full of flavour. The kind of dish, if you knew how good it was going to be, you would pay more for. I really hope that the restaurant survives this awful period and I will definitely go back.

Absolutely wonderful (yet again). Beautiful and quality restaurant food at home. I never knew that a delivered steak could taste just as yummy as eating it in the restaurant but I’ve been given a learning. If you’re finding Lockdown 2.0 difficult, miserable and without joy: treat yourself to a reasonably priced but amazing quality restaurant experience at home. Cannot believe that I’ve just eaten a fillet steak in a onesie 👌 Thank you Venezia - you’ve started our weekend with me a massive high!

Food was good but it was very busy. It was an eat out to help out night and the waiters were rushed off their feet. The food was tasty and the right portion size.

Excellent food and service

I usually go to Linguine in town for Italian food and since it’s been closed with the lockdown, I decided to give this place a chance as the menu is fairly similar. Delivery was swift but the food itself was so vile that it went straight to the bin. Lobster ravioli was dry with bits of overcooked prawn, the tiny little bit of sauce that it came with was tasteless. It’s really hard to ruin a steak and unfortunately they succeeded, it was chewy and overcook. I hate giving a restaurant a bad review but honestly the food was so awful.

What an amazingly kind man. During this terrible time of lockdown to supply the elderly and NHS workers with a FREE Sunday roast today. My mum thoroughly enjoyed it and we both thank you so much and feeling very emotional at your kindness. We can not wait to visit your restaurant as soon as we are allowed to do so ♥️

The food here is top notch, a lot of it is homemade including the chips, pizza and even the pasta which at 31 years of age ive never had homemade before (im very cultured I know 😅), would recommend if you want a really good meal that beats your standard takeaway hands down.

not the best food but that wasn't the main problem. the service was shocking. the manager or owner is so rude it's unreal. the way he speak to his staff aswel is shocking! would definitely not recommend and ever go back!

Not a bad Italian. We turned up super early (I think they had just bleeched the loo which wasn't the most welcoming of odors) and it was empty but by the time we left it was packed. We had a range of dishes including the usual pizza, pasta, chicken and shell fish dishes. All pretty good without being amazing. Service was good but as it got busy the strain was showing a little with another table asking for their meals. Total meal was about £25/head for two courses including a smattering of booze. Would I go back - not under my own stream but if someone invited me I'd be happy enough to go.

Disappointed on this occasion. Food excellent as always, but service was poor, room temperature was cold, and smell of cigarette smoke drifted from kitchen area several times - suspect that staff member had gone outside for a smoke and left door open. Only rated 3 stars on this occasion due to food quality.

Visited venezia for the 1st time this evening. The staff were attentive, warm and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. Will be visiting again

5 stars is just not enough! There is not a better restaurant locally. The menu is extensive plus the food and service is exceptional. As a veggie, the choice is fantastic and they also accommodate my preferences. My carnivore husband says the steaks are the best in the area!
