Not like I remember it. I visited with my family on a Bank Holiday afternoon and the place was soulless. No music, dirty tables, dire table service. The waitress clearly didn't want to be there either. My kids had pizza and we had pasta and a chicken Caesar salad. The pasta sauce was not fresh but the pasta nice. The salad sauce was closer to salad cream than Caesar dressing. The only positive was the use of the app which allowed you to pay, but I was waiting to give a physical tip to the waitress (they had changed over whilst we were there and the new one at least smiled), but the attention was lacking and couldn't get her attention so paid in the app and left.

The waitress was fabulous. The gluten free vegan mushroom pizza was average. I liked the gluten free, vegan dough balls. There were very few vegan desserts. Not worth the money compared with other vegan eateries.

A typical Pizza Express nestled awkwardly within a fantastic old building. The food was of course as expected tasty, fast enough but not so you felt rushed and reasonably priced. The service was attentive and polite. The dairy and gluten free kids pizza was among the tastiest we have found, so top marks for that. The BBQ burnt ends was top notch, not too spicy but with enough heat. The toilet is out the back of the restaurant across a shared hall so you needed a pin to enter it. A bit contrived but the best they could do I suppose. Had the toilet not felt like a 1980's British Rail platform toilet it'd be 5 stars.

Great food and great drinks! The food and drinks here are very nice and the toilets are very clean, we ordered some dough balls🏉 before we ordered are main because we did not know how it was gonna taste because at the time there were not very good reviews but those reviews were almost definitely written on a bad day because the food was lovely!

We had a lovely family meal here in the heart of the city of Truro. We were party of 7 people but they rearranged the tables for us which was very kind. The service was efficient, polite and kind too. Would have given 5 stars had it not been for the high prices but that's to be expected I guess with the current sharp rises in food. Can thoroughly recommend this Pizza Express though! You'll really enjoy it, especially the chocolate brownies! mmm!

A faultless experience, our waiter was friendly and welcoming, checked on us mid way through our meal and was happy to help us when using the Pizza express app. We had 2 drinks, a starter, side and 2 main meals. The discounts using the app allowed our meal to come to an amazing £34 for 2 people. The food was all excellent, my Calzone was cooked perfectly throughout and my partners Pollo Pesto was at its usual high standard which she always orders. We will be returning!

Really enjoyed our meal, kids especially loved the dough balls and passionfruit lemonade. Friendly staff and didn't wait long for our food. Highly recommend a visit.

Good sized branch of the chain, unusually located in a beautiful old building right in the centre of Truro. As you'd expect from a Pizza Express, reliably good if unspectacular food, served by enthusiastic and friendly staff.

On the plus side, the pizza was really good, four of us and we all had good food. But between ordering and receiving the food, we had to wait an hour. I suspect that the kitchen gives priority to take away orders, we watched several delivery drivers come and go. We were going on to a show, so we couldn't enjoy eating and this rather spoiled the visit.

This is a nice restaurant and friendly, helpful staff. Eaten pizza here before and they taste good. On this occasion, I tried a pasta dish. This was not a good move for me. Nothing wrong with the meal they brought but for me, not as enjoyable as the pizza. Others would enjoy it.

Great food, no complaints there but if your in a rush or have later time commitments give it a miss as there is large time periods between courses when only 50% of tables were occupied.

What a lovely relaxed meal at Pizza Express Truro today. One of my party was gluten intolerant and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to offer advice. The gf pizza 🍕 was served on a different coloured plate. What a simple and great idea so nothing gets muddled up, thank you. All the pizzas and lasagne were very tasty that we had. Pizza Express is in the lovely old Coinage Hall which is a very impressive building. Thank you to all the pleasant staff who made us feel valued and very welcome. Whilst not local, we do visit every time we are in Truro, and will return one day soon.

Pizza Express are usually pretty consistent throughout their chain and this is no exception. Reliable food, fast and friendly service. My only complaint would be that the toilet at this particular location is an odd arrangement outside the actual restaurant (although in the same building) and is rather old, tired and bordering on disheveled. No where near bad enough to put me off going back though.

Have always had good experiences at Pizza Express. The pizzas may not be especially unusual but they are, to me, much better than the average. Prices are as expected. Service is usually very good. So what is not to like?

👍👍 Lovely part of the country... I left Truro and got more and more impressed with the view and scenery... Arrived at the Heron and mightily impressed .. easily pay £12 for a full English in my town for a indistinguishable plate of food but here was good to great food. Very impressed gorgeous location...
