If only I could give 0 stars! Dyed red hair staff member had called me and the group I was with “thick in the head” and proceeded to flip us off as she walked away after whilst her colleague on shift pointed a fork at us in a threatening manner. Later on walking back this lady on shift continued to throw insults at us using abusive terminology towards us. I think Taste Wells should review their staff selection process and offer training for staff like this who clearly have no interpersonal skills. This whole episode all because we were sitting on the closed side of the cafe!

Good fresh food including a design your own sandwich option, and super staff. Lovely location with loads of natural light under the palm house style glass roof of the Victoria centre. Perfect for a pit stop or a light lunch

Not as good as usual, my sandwhich was dry, bread a bit stale..lovely people though.

I ordered a variety of platters for 2 birthdays, for around 35 people . Everyone enjoyed the food. We had very specific dietary requirements, which were followed very well. I will definitely use Taste Wells again.

Needed a last min order for sandwich platter for a bday and they were able to accommodate ! Sandwiches were fresh and tasty ! Will definitely order here in the future for parties

Due to covid we had to order some individual platters for a business lunch. Rang Sarah at 4pm and asked for 25 meals with vegetarian and vegan options for next day delivery- all delivered and an amazing meal. THANK YOU TASTE WELLS. Pete from Kent Blaxill

I wish I didn’t even have to give 1 star. SHOCKING attitude from the owner… I ordered a toastie from the area with the ingredients as abruptly instructed to, first time going so how was I meant to know!? I asked if I could have Brie cheese instead of cheddar and I was told that’s fine. I asked for the price due to change of cheese and was given the price which was fine because I was on a tight budget. When I got to the counter the manager/owner said rang it into the till. It was £2 more than expected so I POLITELY a said I am so sorry but it’s more than I was told and I literally am unable to pay this amount. By this time she had taken my card off me!!!! It was not a contactless card thankfully I asked for it back, she said sorry they are almost finished making it.. after telling her that I’m sorry I can’t pay this amount. She finally threw my card down onto the counter and it fell on the floor. She then said fine don’t come then if you can’t afford this. Kindness goes a very long way.

My wife and I both had coffee here today. They were tasteless and a little unpleasant.

First time trying this place and won’t be returning, we ordered 2 teacakes and 1 Christmas gingerbread latte and a normal latte, nothing Christmassy about the gingerbread one as was meant to come with cream and didn’t. Tea cakes never turned up, asked where they were as was told they forgot and would do it now but we ran out of time, they didn’t seem to care they forgot tbh even tho there was 4 people working. They all looked miserable and no communication between any of them and didn’t even get an apology when I was given my refund, Don’t know why this place is even popular, I wouldn’t even waste your money here and better to go to fenwick cafe as there staff aren’t miserable Only gave a 3 star for atmosphere because of the Xmas displays in the shopping centre. Owners and managers need to have a serious re-train of there staff

Taste Wells is a great place to go for a bite to eat and a coffee. Service is quick and very reasonably priced and it is always busy, which shows how popular it is!
