We visited the place during out lonavala family trip seeing the ratings and it being the oldest and the largest one. The place is not managed properly and was slightly off. Some of the statues were outdated and were not maintained properly and skins were peeling off and went yelloish. some were good but majority of them were not matching with the real faces. they need to revamp the place and work on the statues. Overall an average experience. you can skip the place and try newer placed with accurate arts.

Some statues are so realistic.... You won't believe it is not a real person..... Some are not very good.... Overall nice place.... A bit overpriced for the things.... But it took a lot of effort to make these statues.... So its ok.... But worth one visit only...

Superior detailing and live-like work of art. The person whose idea resulted into this superiorly appreciable resultant art deserves endless accolades and respect. Extremely detailed fine lines and real skin effect on all the statues can be observed. The clothes are of good quality to ensure the statue is closest to the actual celebrity who has been idolized during the making. The expressions and details of skin tone texture including skin eruptions or moles or body hair and even facial hair, eyelashes, eye color, lip and nose sizes, and every single nuance has been beautifully captured and portrayed. I went twice and i can keep going again and again to witness this brilliant work of art. Everytime i saw a statue closely, it did feel like the person will turn towards me and start interacting with me - i am not exaggerating the closest-to-real finishing and detailing of each statue. Sincere respect for Mr.Sunil Kandalloor.

Excellent display of life like wax statues.. Worth to spend an hour or so.. some statues like शिवाजी महाराज, शरद पवार साहेब, रजनीकांत are so lively, one can see glint in the eyes.. Other statues might be old or not well maintained like Angelina Jolie, Charlie Chaplin, महेंद्र सिंग धोनी .. are fading in color, Request curator to have look at these idols or simply remove them for maintenance.. करीना कपूर is identified only by her nameplate.. The overall display and attendant approach is good... can be better if such fine corrections are made.. no negative comments intended

I went to any of the wax museum for the very first time so, I loved it. Approximately 90% of the statues look so real and exact that I actually got confused with the real ones. I got afraid several times by imagining it with some real person sitting out there😂. The entrance of the mall is in very bad condition. I visited the museum on rainy day and because the mall has some damaged roofs so, there were a lot of water lodging. But this doesn't affect anything on the museum's condition. The museum is in a very good condition and if you are visiting it for the first time, you are certainly going to enjoy and love it. There is a cost of 200 each for adult and I think 100 or 150 for children (ps. not sure about the children ticket rate).

Acknowledging the effort put into crafting the wax sculptures, it's evident that meticulous maintenance is crucial. Unfortunately, the visible cracks on certain statues detract from the overall experience. Additionally, considering the high entry fee, there's an expectation for a more seamless presentation. Some statues' features appear somewhat unrealistic, which could be addressed to enhance the authenticity of the exhibit.

This is a very awesome place! I just loved it! We went inside and I noticed these. I thought that they were real first but on the second minute, I understood that it was just a wax museum! It's all fake people? Literally, you should visit this place... It's cool!

Nov 2021 This is a must do when one visits Lonavala. The museum is awesome with a good collection of personalities from diverse fields. It was worth the visit. There were a lot of wax statues of National and International celebrities, very well displayed. The statues were life-size and very realistic that the artistic talent of the Artist was well appreciated by all of us. Entrance ticket was Rs. 200 / head. It has a wonderful collection of wax sculptures designed by Sunil Kandalloor, is a Mumbai-based artist. Sculptures include the images of famous personalities like Cricketers - Virat Kohli, Sachin, MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh. Some suggestions: The name of the museum appears behind all exhibits and that kind of spoils the picture The space can be expanded to accommodate more visitors There’s a horror house as well which is not for the faint hearted and quite scary. Pros: - More than 70+ wax statues, most of them excellent - Spacious and well-lighted - Informative tableaus and interesting photos - Helpful staff Cons: - The mall outside needs serious repairs, with water pools and broken ceiling - AC was off in the museum, it was very hot, and even the statues seemed to 'sweat' Overall, a good place to visit!

Sunil's wax museum is one of the most famous and oldest wax museum. When you visit Lonavala, you must atleast once visit this museum. Tickets cost is around 200 rupees. The place is super awesome, amazing wax statues of various celebrities, politicians, legends, and cricketers. Some monuments are exactly the same I believe and look real. You'll be amazed to see what an artist can do. The staff is well mannered and respectful. Overall, a good place to visit! It feels awesome. The small detailing of the artist gives life to statue. Many times you ll feel that that's not statue, it's real. From eyebro to hairs on fingers, hands and every small detailing looks real. Great work. Place worth visit.

I was searching for a place to visit nearby when i was around the city, found this beautiful place to spent my time and had a good 1.5 hours exploring the place. Totally loved the hardworking and loved the behaviour of the staff. Properly managed and so clean place. Entry fees is 200 fir adults which is good as per their hardwork to making and managing the statues.

The beauty of this museum will only be known once you stand beside the wax statue, you will feel as if you are standing beside them in real. It will just cost you Rs 200 as an entry fee for adults and it's worth it. There is no entry fee for children below 5yrs of age. The timing is from 9 am to 9.30 pm. My suggestion is to include a statue of Mr. Ratan Tata as he has contributed a lot to the development of India 🇮🇳 .

It's good to see this kind of talent and art in India and by Indian. I saw it first time and found it good. Actually there are few more wax museum in nearby areas in Lonavala. My cab driver stopped here so this is about my visit to this place. I am not sure about others around there. Entry fee is 350 (I guess) per person. There are statue of many celebrities from India and worldwide. Some of them are made quite good while others are ok and wish they were more real. But good effort by the artist I would say.

    ## Sunil's Celebrity Wax Museum in Lonavala is a Must-See! If you're ever in Lonavala, you absolutely have to check out Sunil's Celebrity Wax Museum! ️ This place is truly amazing! It houses a collection of incredibly lifelike wax figures of Indian and international celebrities, from Bollywood stars to cricket legends to Hollywood icons . It's like stepping right into a real-life movie set! ️ Here's why I loved it: ** Amazingly lifelike wax figures:** The craftsmanship is incredible! Each figure is so detailed and realistic, it's hard to believe they're not real people. I felt like I could have a conversation with them! **✨ Wide variety of celebrities:** There's something for everyone, whether you're a fan of Indian or international stars. 🇮🇳 I got to see my favorite actors, singers, and athletes, all in one place! ** Interactive exhibits:** You can take photos with the wax figures, which is a lot of fun! There are even some interactive exhibits where you can learn more about the celebrities and their careers. ** Family-friendly:** This is a great place to bring the whole family. ‍‍‍ The kids will be amazed by the wax figures, and there are even some special exhibits designed for them. ** Reasonable price:** The entry fee is very affordable, especially considering the quality of the museum. It's definitely worth the money! Overall, I had an amazing time at Sunil's Celebrity Wax Museum. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's a great place to spend a few hours, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lonavala

I like this place honestly, some of the statues are really very life-like. The only problem is their placing. They should be more spread out . It would be good if the place is redesigned. Also , 1 suggestion , how about providing parking space for people who come to visit your museum? That would be really good. Also , some of the tags behind the statues show age which is not right thing to do . Some tags are missing. Good work , employees are well behaved and they brief you properly after entering. Some people are seen touching the statues and messing with them , that's why some have cracks on them I suppose. Better management please . Cheers.

Access is easy, since it is located in a busy part of Lonavla. To travelers who have seen wax museums in other countries, entry fee seems a bit high (for the work showcased). I visited with my 81yr-old father. The highpoint of our visit was the fact that wheelchair facility was available, so he could actually access the museum. The museum itself is well laid out, theme-wise. Political figures, Sports figures, Entertainment figures... you will find the prominent ones here. An audio-tour would help, for visitors to appreciate the process & detailing that goes into making the statues.

I appreciate your work and your art. This is one of the best museum that I saw in my life. Most of the photos are not attached, by I typed their names... Politicians like Sharad Pawar ji, Narendra Modi ji, Nitin Gadkari ji, Athavle ji, etc Film Industry: Rajnikant, Vijay, Prabhu Deva, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bacchan, Kareena Kapoor, Ankush Chaudhari, Amrita Khanwilkar, Cricketers: Sachin, Virat, Dhoni, Messy, Brus Lee, Jet Lee, Einstein, and so many statues are there ❤❤❤

One of the bet wax museum in lonavala. Must visit there are lots of celebrities statue from which mostly all males statues are very much exquisite. Some looks like a real one. It’s really worth seeing if you have never visited any wax museum. The museum has a huge collection of wax art celebrities and it is the first museum and the old one with experts of making the statue. Hats off to the artist. Only female celebrities are not looks good just ok in looks. Entry fees is 200 rs per person. It will take around maximum 1 hour to visit full wax museum. This museum is located in a mall but full mall is not opened as mostly all shops are closed but you can visit Mac d, street foods near to this kids games area and ghost ride, mirror maze and 2 -3 shops for gifts and girls shopping.

There seems to be many wax museums in and around Lonavala. This is one of them and we were not sure that we visited the best in the area in terms of upkeep of the place, variety, and information. This is located inside a mall of sorts inside which there are other similar shops, such as planetarium, 4D/6D/8D movie kiosk, mirror maze and other such places are also located. The ticket counter sells combo tickets which are a bit expensive for the value that they are offering. The wax museum itself is not in the best of upkeep. Only 20-30% wax statues can boast of a good resemblance to the intended celebrity. The information about the celebrity is non-existent. Even the clothes of the some statues were frayed and shabby. Anyway, it is one of those places in the tourist place where you go just because you need to tick one box and the kids need something to do. It could have been much better but don't expect much from it in the current condition. P.S. The owner/founder of the museum seems to be in love with himself just for being in the company of some celebrities. His photos and videos are all over the place.

Observing the list displayed outside sparked my curiosity to enter the museum. However, I observed that some artworks included in the list were not placed in the museum. The art inside was truly impressive, with a few pieces so realistic that they resembled actual personalities like Mr. Sharad Pawar and Ramdas Athawale. I've included the charges for each activity, including combo offers. I spent only around 30 minutes inside, and it's important to be cautious, as any damage to artwork or taking pictures may result in charges.

It is over all good but it can be better. Some status are really awesome but some are not upto the mark. Like Ms Dhoni statue was totally depressing, such a great person with so much grace and that wax statue was like artificial look alike doll. Anna Hazare statue was perfect it was like he was really sitting there. I am attaching only few pictures. While writing this review I realised that I haven't take picture of those statues which were not up to the mark.

Its really not worth to visit. When you pay INR 1400 for a family of 7 people (INR 200 per person/child) and feel stupid after coming out, u will never recommend. Few statue's are really good; remember only few and remaining are done for namesake. Being an artist I have given one star otherwise it doesnt deserve any star. Charges should not be more than 20-30 INR per person.

A good experience to see the miniature world. The village, the airport, the salt mining are some of the excellent models. The good thing about it is that the models are not stationary and accompanied with motion, sound and light its a different experience. The creativity of the size of a fingernail is mind blowing . Keep up the good work.

Its a good museum with replicas of celebrities. Children can see their heroes like Michel Jackson, Mr.Bean, Shaktiman here. A must visit for atleast once in life-time. Most of the idols are very good, especially the new ones. The texture of skin of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji and few other idols are very realistic. Do appreciate the updation of Modi Ji's replica. Great work I must say. But few needs upgradation and maintenance.

I am disappointed by the look and appearance of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's statue, it doesn't match and justify his great personality at all. Even statues of him at many different places are lot better. No one would recognise it's him if the name wasn't mentioned. This is not expected from such artist. Hopefully you will consider this and make improvements.

I loved the realistic appearance of the celebrity wax statues on display and those of film stars, Bollywood divas and of holy saints. My 8 month old son also loved looking at the 89 wax statues on display especially that of Dalai Lama. Photography is allowed here which makes for an excellent visual treat to bring back home. The place is well lit and spacious. The designing is aesthetically sound. The staff on duty are courteous. The entry fee is Rs 200 per head. Enjoyed and learnt a lot.

Few of the statues are outstanding. All corona norms are followed well. Just after entrance you will find Chatrapati shivaji maharaj statue. Shaheed Bhagat Singh's statue is one the fabulous things you can count for visiting this place. Museum is inside mall and the only best place to visit in the mall.

A place to glance at all celebrities under one roof. Deterioration seen in some of them. But over all a good experience. Worth one time visit. Don't need more than 30 to 40 minutes to finish seeing them all. Now facing stiff competition from other wax museum nearby.

Great place to visit at least once, Tickets charges are like ₹200/- per person for just Wax museum but the also offering combo of ₹350/- per person for wax museum, Horror show and VR show. Kids can get the more information about all famous celebrities and politicians. Also at the outside of this Wax museum kids play zone area is also there and till the time parents can do the gifts or crockeries shopping over there.

Nice musium. Detailing in every statue is amazing. Just need to built separate building. And a background of every statute should be related to it. So it will be very nice place to visit.

  • 4/5 Mohammed Furqan S. 2 years ago on Google
Statues are well maintained and in good condition. Entry fee is 200. I think the fee is high. Not worth to spend 200. 50 or 100 rs is fine.

  • 4/5 Sidhesh T. 1 year ago on Google
Located inside the Lonavla Square mall. Less than 1.5km from railway station. Either you can walk up to here or take a share auto rickshaw which can cost you anywhere between 20-50rs per person depending on your bargaining skills The museum tickets cost 200 per person, you may club museum and horror house tickets combined for 300rs per person. The horror house isn't that amazing, barely 1-2 instances which could startle you and you would finish the tour within 2 mins. So its decent enough for one time experience however nothing that special. The museum though is definitely worth the 200 bucks. You get to experience 100+ wax statues for the price you pay. It includes nearly everything from Freedom fighters, Superstars, Politicians, Sportsperson, Influencers and Impactful personalities and so on. The statues are classified as per the category mentioned above. The museum has, collection of statues from absolutely wow to bleh at the same time. However most of them are amazing enough to make it a must visit place. Also, there's no time limit to your visit so you may take your time and checkout each exhibit. Capturing photos and videos is allowed however the art being delicate you must maintain your distance from the statues to ensure you do not ruin it by touching or breaking. Cleanliness :4/5 Collection:5/5 Value for money: 4/5

I have visited this Museum long back. Posted this review bit late after 11+ years. These photos were taken in 2012 that's why the pixel quality might not be good. I have visited this Museum with my parents at that time, the experience was quite awesome. This was the first wax museum which i had saw so there was not much information to compare with other Museum. Infrastructure was good. Statue condition and Detailing done was Great. You could visit once the witness the skill of this Artist. Overall Experience was Great...

A good place to get a glimpse of celebrities, politicians, sports persons, spiritual gurus, etc. They have done a pretty good job in depicting the personalities. We thoroughly enjoyed the museum. There are multiple other stuff to get to visit at the same place but we didn't opt for the same. The ticket price is decent, Rs. 200 per person.

  • 3/5 Abhishek V. 1 year ago on Google
Its a good indigenous effort by the artist to acquaint and provide us an experience of Wax statues. There are currently around 90+ wax statues exhibited. Some of the Wax statues viz, Anna Hazare sitting posture, Prakash Raj(actor) looks extremely real. While some in contrast does not meet the expectations, few even look like dummies. Staff is cooperative. Overall it is a good place to visit and experience this form of art.

Great place to get a glimpse of celebrity- freedom fighters, social activists, bollywood stars, well known personalities and sport stars. The cost of a ticket is Rs 200 per person. Ideal to take your kids/ family. They also offer a combo ticket of Rs 400 per person where you can visit three places - wax museum, horror show and planetarium. The latter offers basic visual information about our solar system.

Some statues are very realistic. I appreciate the work of the artist. My uncle and aunt really had a good time Average time spent - 15 to 20 minutes Tickets 200rs per person

  • 4/5 Sikandar K. 7 months ago on Google
Great piece of art. Well managed and monitored. Recommended to visit this place whenever you are in lonawala. Private car parking charge 50₹, Meuseum entry 200₹.

  • 4/5 Subramaniya I. 9 months ago on Google
Has around 30-40 wax statues of celebrities from politics, history, movies, freedom fighters, sports and religious leaders. Can spend an hour. Parking fee is there. But ticket price of 200 Rs per head seems to be costly is my personal opinion. There is penalty of 25k rs for any damage caused to statues. All this made me wonder if wax statues need so much money to maintain, just think of all the stone carvings that's much harder to make, found in many archeological sites and temples. Temples are free and archeological sites have 25rs entry fee for Indian citizens. Meanwhile when irresponsible people damage ancient carvings/ paintings by writing their name or something, how much should we be charging them? So what I felt was ASI or govt should charge everyone similarly if historical places and temples can be maintained very well and safe.

I have to admit that the statues here are really a piece of art....!!!! Hats off to the person who takes so much time to mould these statues out of wax. Very apt and precise replicas especially those of Sai Baba, Late Lata Mangeshkar ji, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, Baba Ram Dev😜 also Let's not forget about the eminent politician Bala Saheb... and many more. It's a nice place to be however the combo offers that they offer are not really very friendly. Over all a nice place to be!

  • 4/5 Megha S. 7 months ago on Google
we really had a good time there , Infact some of the statue were so realistic. although the wax museum was a nice place but the entire mall was empty only a few shops were open.

  • 4/5 Arun Kumar U. 6 months ago on Google
It was really great. Especially for children, we would be able to tell the tails of story about each person's statue. There are some which looks absolutely awesome. Sometimes you might get confised between a human being and statue while you roam around. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because some of the statues are not matching at all. May be Sunil created them in his early stages like rajini robo, daggubati raana, etc. But overall it was fun and great experience. Kids will absolutely love them.

  • 4/5 Rahul S. 5 months ago on Google
Good number of statues. Some of them need maintenance. Some of the statues are very natural - Anna Hazare, Gandhiji, Sai Baba, Sri Ravishankar etc. It took around 40 minutes to cover all. Good AC. Parking is paid. We got space on weekend. 50 INR. Lift available from parking. One time visit is good enough. Ticket 200 INR for above 5 years

Very nice and entertaining place for the whole family. Some of the wax sculptures look surprisingly real, just like if they were staring at you! The details are amazing. Many important figures of India are presented plus some international ones too. Lots of fun, recommended.
