I really wanted to love this place! We were looking for cocktails and eyeballed the bars nearby. This looked best. And the presentation is top notch... Unfortunately the drinks aren't very tasty and, worse in my opinion, they add the service charge into the bill without showing that it is added and also ask for a tip on the receipt. It's totally fine to include service (and they say it's printed somewhere on their 20 page menu), but the calculation should be shown on your receipt. ESPECIALLY if you are ALSO asking for a tip on said receipt. I'm pretty sure this is designed to get tourists to double tip regularly. Great service, decor, music and glassware.

Protip: - Make reservations beforehand as this place is packed during peak times. - Not a speakeasy type of place, more on loud trance music. - Read the menu and know what to order before sitting down. Overall the cocktail drinks and atmosphere was great but the services was a little lacking due to extended wait times to get our drinks back (around 10 mins). The ambience is similar to a typical combined indoor/outdoor bar that plays loud trance and hip hop music. Wasn't conducive of great conversations as you would have to talk over the music.

Moretenders' is the true essence of a cocktail bar in the heart of Galata, Istanbul, tucked away in a quiet cobblestoned alleyway. The staff exude positive energy in a cosy ambience to sit and enjoy excellent cocktails mixed by the expert staff. The menu will keep you busy experimenting with new and adventurous cocktails. We were impressed by all our selections. A place for the locals and tourists alike and great value high quality drinks served with top-shelf ingredients. Great tunes are played in the background to complete the atmosphere. As cocktails lovers, we definitely recommend a visit to this wonderful establishment.

Located slightly away from the hustle of the street, moretenders is a great place for cocktail lovers. And if you aren't a cocktail lover they will make you fall in love. Ordered gin based cocktails and they were delicious. Also ordered sushi and spring rolls and they were delicious. Definitely a must try when in Istanbul

Don’t go to this bar. We waited over 45 minutes for 3 simple cocktails, which we had to wait for as we’d already paid. Every time we asked how long they’d be the waiter snapped at us. When drinks finally arrived they weren’t what we’d ordered; the manager was very rude and refused to admit they were at fault. I’m also pretty sure they were watered down, couldn’t taste any alcohol at all, total rip off.

Unbelievably unexpected taste of their choice in sushi. As a connoisseur of asian cuisine I can say that this was one of the best tempura I had in a long time. Lovely service, lovely vibes, great music mixes and on top of that a resident cat chilling next to the guests! Will come again for sure! Thank you very much!

What an absolute gem of a cocktail bar in Istanbul. Serious art deco mixed with blade runner vibes and some nicely served cocktails. The music was quite jazzy and funky and really added to the overall vibe. Would definitely recommend this place to people visiting the area.

Horrible experience!!!!! My girlfriend wanted an alcohol-free moctail and the bartender refused to serve us a moctail. We offered to pay the full price for a cocktail but they did not accept. Forcing to drink alcohol. Never experienced that before. Stay away

Visited it for some Sushi and Cocktail in an early afternoon with a friend. It was still empty. Nonetheless, I felt that this place has good vibes specially when there are more guests. A little bit overpriced for tourists. Severely overpriced for Istanbul residents. However, the Sushi and Cocktails were made to perfection. If you can afford it, then I do recommend it. Pros: - Perfect Cocktails - Perfect Sushi - Nice Vibes - English speaking staff Cons - Slightly overpriced

Right place to have sushi and find oneself in the heart of buzzing young Istanbul. Pretty good food and extremely popular place with limited seating (so be there when you are) and, nice drinks. We had two sushi plates and they were out after that, we would order another if we could! Definitely would go back.

Stunning spot! We got high chairs at the bar and could see the bartenders work! What an artwork and hardworking staff. Delicious cocktails and the vibe is just stunning!

Awesome PRO Negronis. The music is VERY LOUD intence plipp plopp techno, nobody gave me a smile, infact they felt quite hostile. There are better options in Istanbul. Answer: Hahaha, a racist attitude, howcome? Is that how u attack all your critics? I changed my rewiew based on the total experience, wich was bad. The drink was still good. There where only whites in the bar and i told my appretiation to that great bartender, and she said thank u. Thats it. Other than that i sat alone, with internet until i couldt stand the noise and took my other drink outside, i asked for, but they denied me a table so i had to sit on a barstool closer tho the speakers outside. Didnt matter, i brought my own music. One thing Bourdain wouldt appretiate is intence meaningless loud music and visible unhappy staff -And this welcome to WOKEMANIA ur presenting here. ;)

This is waaaaay to good to be true. Tried a lot places with rolls and sushi but it wasn’t match my needs. Here is just perfect. Aburi salmon and Philadelphia so tasty. Also cocktails is nice. 100% recommended. It’s very difficult to find proper rolls in Istanbul. But all everything is just worth it

A pretty cozy spot for sushi and cocktails. Has outside seating, but it's located directly opposite a huge wall so it's not the best view. The street is quite busy with tourists. The sushi was moderately priced and pretty good. They did not have spicy mayo, even though they had it on top of sushi... but maybe that's just my uncivilized self asking for too much (lol) The cocktails were quite nice, they have lots based on different alcohols so I'm sure anyone can find something they like. I highly recommend the following cocktails: boots call & smooth crush (can't go wrong with those) Cursed Vespucci (a cocktail with chili) tasted like a salad.... might be a fun one for all you healthy people 😄

The mixology of cocktails is phenomenal, and it suits so well with the food. All ingredients of food and drinks are super fresh, and highly recommend you to try tempura maki roll - it’ll blow your mind! And of course, the staffs explains cocktails very detailed and the service was amazing!

They don't allow you to sit if you came alone (except for the bar which is not great at all). While I understand their logic I think it is against the basic hospitality principles and totally unpleasant and unfair.

Absolutely my most favourite bar in Istanbul, the cocktails & the food incredible. Loved the sushi & the gin cocktails specially. Last night we were surprised that the cocktails we had were on the house! What a great surprise. Will be back on our next visit to Istanbul for sure!

This place is an unsuspecting gem off the busy, touristic Istiklal Street. Hidden in an alley, the cocktails and vibe let you forget you’re in Istanbul. Crafty, creative and unique, the cocktails are curated with experience & class. Delicious. Different. Staff is kind, knowledgeable & super welcoming. There’s also sushi on the menu- it’s a nice pairing to the drinks. Highly recommend as a pre or post dinner spot. Or a regular week night drink.

This might sound a bit extreme…but the Double Tuna is the best sushi roll I’ve ever had. Drinks were great, the staff was very cool and I shazamed at least a dozen songs <3

We didn't eat, but had some cocktails. The menu is creative and of the 4 we had, they were all excellent. If you like creative cocktails, this is a great spot for you. I had a tequila cocktail with clarified Tomato and celery, it was fun, Savoury and delicious. The lane way you sit in is atmospheric, lots of people walking by, but unfortunately it was always occupied by at least 1 or 2 of the staff smoking. Not a refined, elegant or professional way to operate, but that's Istanbul, so I guess they won't change anytime soon.

I ordered a drink called Last Word and it tasted like lemonade with alcohol and the decoration was a simple lemon peel. The bar is in and alley. They have a big menu so I can't judge the rest but this one I ordered is not worth 70 liras

Great bar in Taksim area. Very good cocktails, good sushi, really friendly staff, who speak great English. Excellent playlist matching the atmosphere and put together thoughtfully.

We stopped by to have a quick drink on a friday night. It was not crowded, but we couldn't sit where we actually wanted because they said the tables were reserved but they ended up being empty. The coctail I tried, fulfilled my expectations. I hated the dj's playlist. I found the 10% service charge unreasonable since it is just a coctail bar and the prices are already above average.

The cockatiel was very good but pricey ( on the menu it was 100 tl, but on the bill it was 150 tl !!! ) The sushi was average 3/5 not much.

Cocktails are great , but too much ice for this price. If you take ice off it’s half of glass. Sushi is… it’s like a Turkish pilaf but not sushi. If you’re looking for sushi it’s not the place to get it. Apart from the above, this is not a bad place. Friendly staff. Good music. But the prices are still high

Waov.. Cheerful people, good service and perfect advice. Cocktails is incredible. I tried Forbidden Fruit and it was delicious and so tasty. Also I ate Volcano and Dynamite Shrimp these was perfect and I sat on inside there is a good ambient and visual. I strongly recommend <3

Its a small cocktail bar with (at most) 50 people seating. They have a menu specialized on thr own recipes and cocktails. They renew it every once in a while. Cocktails are real. Most places istanbul; you might get only the taste of tonic while ordering gin&tonic. This is not the case here. Its usually crowded so dont be late
