Rooms and thermal pools were good. However, the rooms were full of smoke, also when having meals, you can easily smell smoke from smoking area nearby the buffet. Staffs at buffet area were not friendly, a female staff forgot my omelette (or gave it to others, not sure), wasted my time of waiting the omelette whilst I was in a hurry. The overall experience not worth 5 stars.

There's much good to say about the level of service, the atmosphere, the facilities, and the accommodations. If I'm to make any suggestions, that would be that the management change the gym's opening time from 8am. I would that they consider 5am for visitors who want to get their workouts early, first thing, because the days are hectic.

We stayed for about three days and the service was very nice. The food was wonderful at the pool. The food was very tasty and varied. The hotel staff were very friendly. They were all very helpful people. The pool was also clean. I was satisfied with everything, thank you.

THE STAFF IS HORRIBLY RUDE! I've travelled all over the world, but never in my life I have been treated so badly (all I did was sitting by the pool and have the audacity to order a drink)! The waiters, the girls behind the counter at the bar... and how about the dirty rooms and the costant noise coming form outside? If you want to spend your money to feel like a piece of dirt, then go on and chose Kaya Hotel!

Spa review. When we visited the spa for the first time, we appreciated it very much. We thought we would visit it often because we live nearby. Today, when we came for a second time, an employee at the spa reception hardly left her phone aside and was speaking with us in a very rough manner. Fortunately, there are many spa centers like this here. We don’t recommend this spa center anymore. You come to have a rest and get employees’ rudeness in response.

Quiet, elegant, clean, good service and professional staff. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Free shuttle to the city (about 25 minutes from the centre). Lot's of shopping centres in vicinity (Balcova). If you are lucky, you'll have sea view room. There are lots of rooms for smokers as well as for non smokers. The hotel itself is at the quiet area with lots of green around. Which is very rare and main disadvantage of Izmir hotels.

A quiet, comfortable hotel with a luxurious spa area and thermal pools. I was unexpectedly pleasantly surprised by the cuisine, which is tastier than in the famous restaurants of Izmir. The hotel is not for those who want an active city vacation, it is located far from the city near the forest. I want to say that the hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, but need renovation. We would also like to organize outdoor locations that would be comfortable for people who do not smoke

Location is very bad, you cannot access anything good by walking, to get to the city centre, its a 20 min taxi ride. Rooms and corridor had a smoky smell as people smoke in their rooms. Cleanliness was not good. We had a buffet dinner once whilst we stayed as its hard to access restraunts, the food was so bad, we paid approx £18 for awful food. Breakfast was okay and tye service was okay.

I am here for 7 nights with my sons for a wedding with 3 other family members 15 of us in total I can not fault this hotel it it truly is a 5 star and beyond rooms cleaned every day breakfast has a huge selection. Only negertive the physio they have down stairs(third party) tried to rip my nephew off by charging 250.00 pounds sterling which when he complained to hotel manager it was taken very siriousley they got him a full refund and are fully investigating the spar treatment is fantastic all prices for services are clearly displayed on a sheet would definitely come here again

Very slow internet, no nets on window so lots of mosquitos, room service is not delicious at all, breakfast so-so, staff is good, they dont let delivery drivers into lobby so u have to walk all the way down to pick up your food delivery. Internet being this slow is unacceptable. Daily water allowance should be left in front of the door if do not disturb sign is hanged.

Our stopping point in Izmir. Clean, safe, in a good location. If I could give more stars I would give more. The friendly staff is solution oriented. The food and breakfast are of great quality. I would definitely recommend. You will not regret.

Air conditioning was set to heat, not cool as it was apparently 'winter time'. Room needs some minor other maintenance works. Conference facilities good but again it was hot with many people in the room. Spa facilities were excellent, cannot be faulted. Cleaning and tidyness was also very good, no fault. Service was OK, not many multilingual employees but you can get by easily enough. Location is a little far from CBD/restaurants/places to see. Overall it was a good stay.

I'm just drinking coffee on my last of 7 days here, I can really say that I enjoyed the Kaya Hotel. I enjoyed the food as much as the sauna, the pool, the overall ambiance. Some may not like that the hotel is quite far from the city's activities, but I consider it an advantage. I certainly enjoy long walks, so a walk to the center or the beach doesn't bother me at all. Perhaps the only thing that was a bit strange was that all the hotel staff approached me speaking in Turkish. But, it must not affect my evaluation and impression, maybe only I look like them. In other countries, people often assume that I am Greek or Turkish. Well, I'm Bosnian people. 😄

It is an amazing place for thermal theraphy. We go there every year for a health and wellness cure. There is a clinic at the hotel. PT Muzaffer bey and his team are really great at what they are doing. I was in an unbearable lower back pain before their theraphy. After all I was all good.

overall: 4.7/5 food: 5/5 breakfast starts at 7am, dinner starts at 7pm which is quite late compare to other hotels but the food quantity and quality were both amazing! must try various cheese and kaymak at breakfast room condition: 3.5/5 quite bright, spacious for two adults bathroom was quite moldy (esp the toilet) offers hotel-made amenity (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion) facility: 4.5/5 gym (cardio zone, weight lifting zone and a yoga / pilates zone), outdoor pool, indoor thermal pool and outdoor thermal pool, male / female jacuzzi, huge restaurant and a swimming gear shop you must wear a swimming cap when entering the thermal pools and if you don't have one with you, you can purchase one for 10 lira free wifi, welcoming staffs again, the food was really great

Breakfast was incredible. We also utilized the pools and exercise room while here which were fantastic. My only complaint is that a big reason we chose this hotel was that the website offered free shuttle service to the airport which we were told on arrival wasn't a thing. Update your website if this is not a service that you provide.... Additionally, the pool bar and snack bar near the pool were not open despite us visiting during summer operating hours.

I liked the hotel and turkish hospitality in Izmir. Location might be not very centric in Izmir, still it's not always bad for those who seek calm rest. Rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is good. Hotel personnel is polite and helpful. Special thanks to Mr Sarper in reception due to his help, not very standard one..

Extremely professional yet very warm establishment. Although bit outdated the architecture and design details are still alluring. Excellent facility to relax and enjoy thermal baths, spa and sports. Breakfast is above average. It is big but not crowded. I have not experienced anything bad with the staff. They are exceptionally nice and professional. Excellent price performance ratio!

Luckily only stayed 2 nights. I must admit the staff is very attentive and helpful and will go out of their way to assist but the hotel itself is very dated in need of a massive revamp. The rooms are small, the minibar fridge seems second hand ... looks unclean and rusty. Bathroom outdated, shower head leaks, toilet seat looks like one from a public loo ... location not great , on the outskirts of the city.

Our stay at Kaya thermal happened so spontaneously, we stayed for a night and everything was very neat, staff were incredible, hotel has Spa and Thermal pools which are amazing, also the surrounding woods is perfect for morning walks. Overall one of the best hotels in the region.

The hotel is rather old and needs renovation especially the rooms. We were given a smoking room (a family with 2 children) and it was impossible to breathe there. The heating is on and cannot be turned off. So even with the fully open window it is very hot and smells with cigarettes. The bar service is slow, we were waiting for ice-cream for 20 minutes. But the spa and thermal pools are really great!

Our stay at the Kaya Izmir was for a birthday special occasion getaway, and proved to be an excellent choice. From the outset, the booking process (all done by email, in excellent English) and check-in were handled professionally and seamlessly - and our first impression walking into the main part of the hotel was of a grand, well-maintained, spotlessly clean (and pandemic-aware) hotel. The room was elegant and comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. Noisy neighbours one night were quickly quietened with just a simple call to the front desk, and the food at every meal was just delicious...plenty of choices for both vegetarian and gluten-free diets. The spa area is the reason most people come - and rightly so. The main two thermal pools are spacious - and it's nice to choose between the (slightly warmer) indoor and the (still very pleasant) outdoor thermal water. Our only critique would be that the water in these pools is filtered and slightly chlorinated - so it resembled a warm swimming pool rather than authentic hot spring waters. However, within the spa area there are wonderful jacuzzi pools that are 100% thermal waters with the colour and mild odour that goes with that...and they're blissful, along with a wonderful hamam, choice of saunas, a steam room and a lovely relax chill-out space. Overall, a wonderful experience and highly recommended!
