Surprising stonework, great motifs and statue if you want to see a great work of art. Especially its minaret. The masterpiece was built in the 14th century by Hoca Yakut during the reign of Ilkhanids. It was an academical state during Seljuk and Ottoman Era where scientific and cultural development were applied in accordance with Islamic principles. Various figures carved in stone reliefs and tile arrangements. The Yakutiye Medresesi is worth to visit.

Small but interesting collection of artifacts. Amazing architectural details on the building and minaret. Original low doors to the classrooms so you need to watch your head. I bumped mine 3 times!

Entrance fee: 20TL (Sept2022) If you are Museum card holder it is free. This place wasn't on my list to see but some how I saw the beautiful tower from far away and started walking here. I was amazed by the beauty of it. Inside you can find artifacts from Seljuks and Ottomans. Medrese means educational institution. So there classrooms inside, they are now display area for the historical artifacts. The reason the doors are so low is the enter the room bowing for paying respect for the people inside.

Historical museum. Pretty small, it will take up to 20 minutes. There is some information in English, but local guide is recommended. Cost 12,50 Turkish lira and it is about 1,2 euros. Recommend visiting.

Ancient seljuk madrasah(school), built in 1310, now it’s a museum. The building is beautifully built... This is just one of many ancient historical sites of Erzurum.
