The construction of Bursa Castle dates back to the 1st century BC. It was first built by Bithynians. Then it was actively used in Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman periods and was renovated. The vicinity of Bursa attracted the attention of travelers after the 14th century. The excursions initiated by Ibn Batuta Bertrandon De La Broquire (1432), Polish Simeon (1608), Evliya Çelebi (17th century), Katip Çelebi (17th century), George Wheler (1675), Jean de Thevenot (1689 ), A. De La Motray (1699), Paul Lucas (1700), Helmuth Von Moltke (1836), George Perpot (1864), Alexander Von Warsberg (1869), Ibn al-Azizay (1890), Clement Huart (1897), Thomas Allom (19th century), Pierre Loti (20th century), Regis Delbeuf (1906), Şerafeddin Meğmumi (1909) and Ahmet Şerif (20th century) followed and mentioned the castle while writing their memories separately. [2] Various blocks and rubble stones were used in the construction of Bursa Castle and it is a very high castle. The front walls between Pınarbaşı Gate and Zindan Kapı in Bursa walls, which have 5 gates, were lost between the houses. Among them, Hisar Kapı was destroyed in the earthquake in 1855.Bursa Kalesi’nin yapılışı MÖ 1. yüzyıla dayanır.

Perhaps interesting to those who are more into the history associated with the castle, but it wasn't much of a sight to me. We walked around the place and were a bit underwhelmed.

(Translated by Google) It consists of only walls on the road. You can go to see the building. Finding a place to park a car can be a bit difficult. There are many candied chestnut shops around the castle. The most famous brand is Caucasian, but its prices are double. There is Balibey Han right across the castle, be sure to stop by there. It's a very sweet place.

Bursa walls, which surround historical mosques and tombs in the Tophane district of Bursa, constitute the part of Bursa Castle, also known as Hisar Castle, which was built by the famous Carthaginian commander Hannibal and is still intact today. These huge waters, developed by Orhan Gazi during the Ottoman period, you will definitely come across while visiting the historical places of the city.

(Translated by Google) It is a beautiful place that was used as a dungeon during the Byzantine period and was restored by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and opened for use as a Digital Museum. I wish you had the chance to watch the laser show shown at the opening launch.

This gate is called Zindan Kapı. This has been n restoration work for a few years by now and very close to completion. This is the 5th gate to be restored and the last 6th gate is called Capılıca Kapı, or Hot Spring gate . There is however no trace of it left. It is located right after Bursa State Hospital bus stop just going down towards Murari ye.
