Great performance when you get the dishes. Service is very good. Tasty boozy, recommend to taste all of them.

Typical and modern restaurant in the full center of Ulan-Ude : you could find the best speciality of the regional kitchen but presented and served in modern way : I loved it. The place is nice, warm and the personal is very welcoming and the waitress speaks English, this is helping a lot to understand what to choice and what you are eating. Thanks The food and the drink was amazing and not so expensive : I tried a degustative set for 1600 rubles from appetizer to dessert and drinking. I suggest it if is yours first/second trying of Buryat's taste: you will try cheese, meat, fish, frying, tea. Must to try if you are traveling in Ulan-ude.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in my life, and definitely in Ulan Ude. The Baikal fish 3 ways was absolutely amazing, and the interior and rest of the dishes are fantastic as well. If I could give it 6 stars I would!

During our 3 nights stay at baikal plaza hotel, we visited the restaurant 5 times. They serve delicious food with nice presentation. The sampler set was a great introduction to Buryati cuisine. The yak neck, fettuccine carbonara, lamb soup are all yummy. The experience of our third and fourth visit were flawed by the service. On our third visit ( September 11), it was busy and we were told to sit at the lobby bar instead but we can still order from the restaurant. We have two young bildren with us. When we found out that the restaurant was empty again and requested to sit there. We were shocked by the lousy response shockedof the servers for that night. They simply ignore us and did not even acknowledge our appearance when we switched to sit in the restaurant. In the end, the bar server etigel had to sit us and bring us our food.it was a weird protocol to have bar server attend to us instead of the restaurant crew, just because we ordered from the bar. Due to the unpleasant third visit, our fourth visit had been a bit awkward. Yet the food is again delicious. The fifth try on the restaurant food, we chose room service instead. The carbonara was truly yummy. If we knew we could order from the room, we would not even ask to sit on the restaurant during our third visit. It was really awful. We wanted to get dessert after dinner and in view of that poor service, we rather drink water than to inquire for the dessert order. Really a shame for those on that shift. It truly spoil the whole dining experience. In short, food is still great!!

Superb restaurant! There are many places in Ulan-Ude (and Irkutsk and Chita) specialising in traditional Buryatian food, but this one is a cut above the rest, and so for a reasonable price you can taste the best examples of local food. Highly recommended!

Very nice food and friendly staff who can explain the dishes in English. Prices may seem higher compared to other places around, but good value for the service. Baikal fish Buza was great.

Excellent place to have a fancy dinner or celebrate with your family and friends. Plenty of extravagant dishes and classic food choice. Prices bite a bit though.
