Jalal ud-din Muhammad Akbar was born the next year on 15 October 1542 (the fourth day of Rajab, 949 AH) at the Rajput Fortress of Amarkot in Rajputana (in modern-day Sindh), where his parents had been given refuge by the local Hindu ruler Rana Prasad. This place is located at 1 KM away from city, and it looks like a jungle due to non-maintenance of the place and Roads are also damaged. Very calm and stress free environment.

Just an ordinary monument and boards written about its historical affiliations. There is nothing interesting here.

The birth place of the Mughal emperor, Shehnshah Akbar. When Sher Shah Suri defeated the Mughal emperor Humayiun, he along with his wife and some faithful soldiers took shelter in Amarkot. Rana Prasad was the ruler of Amarkot that time.

This is a well-marked place in Umarkot, Sindh. Reportedly, Mughal king Akbar the Great was born here while his father Humanyun was gathering strength to put a stake to his father's empire. There is a park next to a canopy, marking the birth place. Some benches and tables are placed in the park. The place could be maintained better.
