I came here in hope of satiating my ever-growing cravings for Pakistani food. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was authentic with a decent level of spice. It was well flavoured and there were plenty of vegetarian options. Very enjoyable. The service was also good. All the guys there were very friendly. It is also within walking distance of my apartment so I imagine I’ll be returning here at some undefined point in the future.

We have been in Istanbul for 3 days and already been here twice. The food is amazing! Just how it tastes like at home. Authentic, fresh and finger-licking good. The people are very welcoming and nice. If you’re in Istanbul, you should definitely try it out. 100% recommended.

This was the only Desi meal we had in Turkey. The food here is pretty good and the service is also quick. Watch out for changing prices and stay away from Chicken Seek Kebab my friend didn't like it, he found it hard and not fresh which we brought it to the staffs notice. The rest we tried all Vegetarian food, The Dal mash, Chana Masala and Aloo Chana Chat along with Paratas. These were absolutely very good.

I came here to get my curry fix. I ordered 3 curries, Rogan Josh, Karahi chicken and chicken tikka masala. I also got water and butter garlic nan. I paid 450tl. The flavours were a bit different then what I was used to from these particular curries, I usually have them at Indian restaurants though. The Rogan Josh was my least favorite as it was a bit runny and very very oily/ but perhaps that is traditional and intentional. I usually have it thicker with a more pronounced garlic and spiced, rich deep curry flavour. This was a bit lacking. The Karahi was good but I expected more tomato and ginger, it didn’t quite satisfy but it wasn’t bad either. The chicken tikka masala was my favorite. Not bad over all, very kind and friendly staff, lots of Pakistani families were here enjoying their meals. Not a bad place to try, but perhaps be cautious of the oil levels.

We ordered paneer butter masala , curry pakoda and butter naan and aloo kulcha. The curries were perfect . The service is bit too slow but otherwise good restaurant with brilliant tasty food.

Karachi Darbar is a pakistani restaurant that offer both Pakistani and Indian cuisines located at Taksim Square. The foods, service and atmosphere is amazing. I tried Chicken Biryani, Chicken Makhni and Mango Lassi all were amazing. Must visit there to have desi food.

Amazing food and service! There were three of us and we all ordered different items off the menu (both meat and vegetarian) to get the most of the dining experience. The food was prepared really quickly and everything tasted phenomenal. The waiting staff was professional and friendly. We definitely recommend it and will be visiting again when back in Istanbul!

I don't know where to begin. We are in Istanbul for nearly 4 weeks now, missing the Indian food. Decided to come here and guess what... we had the best meal. It was so tasty and authentic, the service was great and price was reasonable. Had tea after the meal and that too was amazing. By the way the trip to and fro from our hotel was more expensive.

Placed right in the hub of Taksim square, a spacious restaurant with delicious Pakistani food made freshly. I loved the flavor of the food but felt the the quality was slightly less for the price charged. All in all it was an experience close to home as the restaurant was desi, similar to Indian restaurants. And also had many Indian dishes too. Do try.

Karachi special biryani, mutton karhai, raita, 1 naan 1 roti, coke and sprite ( we spent 900 Lira ) for two of us. As we are not big eaters. Karhai was very small portion if you are big eater might need one for one person. Food was good an average karachi food, was well tasting food. We had safe options. Ask for your spice buds as the food is spicy.

This food reminded me of back home in Pakistan. We ordered the tandoori roti with Karahi chicken (most famous) & Shahi Korma. They both were so delicious hard to pick between both. It’s in takism square definitely coming back whenever in Turkey.

The chefs are amazing, the delivery guys are very polite and efficient. Staff at the restaurant are a different level. They messed up several of orders by overcharging, or not delivering everything I paid for. Shahid who takes orders gave me what I paid for after 4 days later only because I was walking by but he promised to add complimentary naan (not that I'm up for free food) yet still charged me a meagre 7 lire despite their incompetence, cheap behaviour. Regardless of this I wanted to place a weekly order of 200 biryanis for my office, it'd cheer up the social distancing work mood BUT the man behind the counter in Karachi Durbar turned his back on me in the middle of a business conversation to take a low priority casual call on his personal phone. I didn't bother waiting or ever using them again...these staff need to learn some manners and understand how to retain customers, not lose them.

After so many kebaps, we had to switch it up. Right around the corner of our hotel in taksim, we found this amazing pakistanian restaurant....and wow! It was probably one of the best places we have eaten at. We got the lamb byrani and we demolished the dish. The rice had the perfect amount of saffron and and the lamb was insanely tender. Even if you don't get tired kebaps, still go by and try this place. It was in the heart of taksim square and so easy to get too and trust me, you will be amazed at how the quality of food they put out. We have never tried pakastanian food before and even though this is our first, this will not be our last!

Karachi Darbar was literally home away from home for us. Coming to Istanbul for the first time we got the comfort we didn't know we needed. The food here was at an exceptional standard each time we came for a meal. Everyday we had lunch or dinner here. No other place had the same quality/ perfection/ atmosphere or customer service. The staff were extremely accommodating and made us feel at home. Coming from England, we had never thought that in Istanbul we would be able to get in touch with our Pakistani roots but it was made possible through Karachi Darbars amazing food! The food ranged from the mouth watering Mixed grill to the authentic Halwa Puri Channa breakfast menu served all day! The biryani can't go unmentioned, and the curry pokora was beyond perfection. The pictures do not do the food any justice at all!! You must visit to experience it yourself! Perfect menu which caters to everyone's taste buds and dietary requirements. Massive thank you to the staff of Karachi Darbar for making our experience of Istanbul so special and memorable! And a special thank you for helping us surprise a family member for their birthday!

Food and ambience was average at best. Visit only if you really crave for some Indian food, which was our case. We tried a few dishes, being completely new to Istanbul. The mutton biriyani - Rice was decent, but the meat lacked flavor. Garlic Naan was ok and with the mutton curry, again the meat lacked flavor.

We were not sure about the place but gave it a try. I must say I was not disappointed. The food is great. We ordered Chicken Handi which is mild gravy yet flavourful along with the biryani rice. The portions are generous for 2 ppl to share. The ambience is also good. Would definately recommend it.

We were excited to eat at a Pakistani restaurant in Istanbul! Our tour group was pretty big (13 of us). We had to split up into 2 tables--our table order Dal Gosht (my choice), chicken vindaloo, chicken korma and baigan aloo. We got the garlic naans. The dal gosht was delicious. Everything else was too spicy for us. Personally I found the garlic naans too overpowering (garlic flavor). We also ordered pani puri...which was okay. The tamarind water/chutney was super bland. And one order of chicken tikka, which was delicious. The highlight of our meal was the gajjar halwa and the kheer. Huge portions and quite tasty.
