The road users were well behaved today and the roundabout free from obstructions. There was a semblance of order with no law enforcement officer in sight. Traffic was also very light.

The beautiful piece sits at the roundabout of Umuahia, Abia State. The picture and narration was done by a friend. He said one can located it right after the express and it needs to be clean every time, Sha!!! The top inscription of the tower welcomes both indigenes and strangers to God's own state. Abia has always been a good people state with the war museum at its centre. I hope I will see here some day and tell the full version and tales about the land and great people of Abia.

This is a landmark between Umuahia in Abia State and some other towns in Imo State in Nigeria. The Aba - Port Harcourt express way meets here too.

It was Great, calm and more organized than it used to be, cleaner than it use to be. Improved in aspect of how people do park before. Probably it seems like there was sensitisation. Wholly and generally improved. The only thing that is getting worst is the cost of transportation. From Umuahia to PH now is 2K which is 50% increase.

The picture quality here is more sweet than what it really looks like physically. Its a busy junction that leads in and out of umuahia town. Its also a junction that connects abia to IMO state with a good motorable road.

Well well well, this place geh as e be. After staying all night I appreciate the north central more. A plate of food here is worth two plates back in Jos and almost 3 plates in Mangu. Life of a tourist. Life of sojourner. Life of a Pilgrim. Safest journey. I bless you oh Abia, you are God's own state. May God really own you in all you do. Your gates are open for the king of glory to come in.

Rarely looks like a capital city. Very rowdy and poor. Noisy. Dirty and scattered thrash. But lots of warm, cordial people are in there.

It's a very nice tower and I feel it will make a very good background if a person wants to take a picture.

Maybe peculiar to Imo and Abia states, there are usually magnificent roundabouts with a significant sculpture a short distance from the entrance of the capital city with all the local governments of the state inscribed upon it. Abia Towers is quite historic and a popular location at the intersection of roads leading to Aba, Owerri, Umuahia and Enugu. You can find motor parks and buses loading for Owerri, Enugu, Bénue, Nassarawa, Uyo, Aba etc. This place rarely sleeps.

Abia state is a useless state. No roads, no electricity, no good water, no foreign investors because the taxes are too much for them to pay. In fact there's nothing good about this State called Abia. If you're a foreigner planning to visit here, there's no need because you won't like the experience. Especially Aba which is the commercial Area. Thanks

It's a landmark that signifies the existence of the state and situated in a strategic location. Travelers passing through the State get a chance of having a feel that they are in Abia State.

A tower built in a large roundabout with huge insignia to show the entrance into umuahia the capital of Abia state from various places. The tower is a historic landmark that also serves as some sort of branding for the state. But the roads leading to and from this location is always bad.

Was my first time in Abia. I came in from mbaise to umuahia, so "The Tower" was the first obvious landmark I saw. It says welcome to Abia, with the names of the local government written below

It is the gateway to the state capital from the enugu and mbaise. All the local governments that make Abia state are artistically inscribed around the base of the tower. It a beautiful sight to behold.

It's a nice view, with the inscription "Gods own state" at the top of the tower, it tells travelers that they have arrived Abia state, Umuahia to be precise. My issue with the place is that, its not looking good enough, the surroundings roads are not smooth enough, plus we have cars littered everywhere in an Ill mannered fashion. I think the Government of the state ought to take a closer look at Abia tower and make some improvements. Apart from the complaints above, I think the Abia tower is a beauty to behold. Good luck to all travelers, God be with you!

I know we still have a ways to go, but then a lil house keeping would make so much of a difference here. Road is bad yes, but if only effort could be made towards keeping its surroundings clean, it wouldn't appear as terrible.
