This isn't a Backpackers hostel. It's more like someone bought a flat that was too big so stuck a load of bunk beds in it. I'm a solo female traveller and turned up expecting there to be other travellers there but was met with a room full of older men that were living there permanently/semi-permanently. The bathrooms were grim. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillow was rock solid. I asked for help with how to get there and was told to "just get a taxi" which is what I did, but the location on google maps is incorrect and I ended up walking 20mins in the dark with my backpack on at 10pm trying to find it. There wasn't facility for me to have a locker in the room because they were all full with stuff from the middle aged men that were living there. I wouldn't stay here again nor would I recommend for any Backpackers!

One of the best hostels I have stayed in. Super clean, super fun, travellers from around the world and the caretaker Maria is wonderful. I would love to keep visiting this place just to hang out with others and the view of JBR Beach and Ain Dubai is out of the world from the 18th floor. One of the best sunset views.

You can say that it is the best place I have lived there for a long time, good service, always clean, close to restaurants and the sea, and if you are a Muslim, it is also close to the mosque, the best things there is the owner of the place, and the manager of the hostel Maria

The rose of bad treatment from the official in the hostel and does not care about the comfort of people and there is no reservation system. If a new inmate comes and pays more than you, they will wake you up in an annoying and disrespectful way to change your bed and give it to the person who paid more than you

I spend in this hostel 14 days...management staff r very frendly..they cleen room &toilet every day 😑 so it aleays cleel...i feel like home in this place...the atmosphere is very nice...taking abaut this hostel i can not forgate Maria..she is the hostvery frendly..always smily...and profanity she handel every this...👍for her..i enjoyed my stay🙂

This hostel is located right at the JBR beach and the view of Ain Dubai is clearly visible from here. Perfect for solo travelers. The space is small and needs some renovations in common area because guests leave ciggerate buds everywhere. Also if you are a hostel hopper, keep in mind that California hostel and Bombay backpackers are in the same building so research before booking.

Fantastic place to stay with welcoming and friendly people from all over the world. The host - Shakira - is taking an amazing care of the place and guests. The cleanest, brightest and spotless place to stay with gorgeous view from the balcony. Highly recommended

Love this place

It’s a perfect place to stay for solo travellers. You’ll get to meet many foreign nations, who share their stories. The host - Shakira - has the biggest heart, she is very welcoming and takes perfect care of the place and the guests. The view from the balcony to the Fujaira Palm is stunning. You’ll also have access to the pool of the residence. This place is at walking distance from dubai tram and metro network.

My friemds and I didn't even proceed to stay here because the hostess, Shakira was very unaccommodating unprofessional. She was not picking up when you call her. When we came to Murjan 6, we rang multiple times and instead of greeting us, one of the tenants opened the door and she was giving the vibe as if she didn't want us in her hostel. When we tried to adress this to her, she answered in a nonchalant way, complaining that she was tired. If you are tired, it's not our problem anymore. We are meeting you the first time and this is what you will treat your customer. If you are being very choosy on who's going to stay in your hostel, don't put it on booking.com in public. The worst customer service ever!!! You deserve 0 star for this review.

Such a rude treatment. A lady picked the call and as we couldn't understand her English and when we were still talking about price and requested to message the price, she simply cut the call. She told she is the manager and she can't give more details. One of the worst behavior and manner of speech to customer service, I've ever experienced.

Avoid this place at all cost, you can pay the same price for something much better in the same area. The bathroom and beds are smelly, the reception is away 90% of the time, I waited hours before being able to check-in. No one washes their dishes and the sink is always full.

Great view, excellent hospitality. Slightly cramped. But cannot imagine the amount paid for the location. Super cheap any day for the view. Cook ur own food is a great plus. Wash at affordable cost. Best for budget travelers.

Handy option if travelling alone. Superb location at the middle of dubai marina and JBR beach. Loads of food options and clubs nearby. Cooperative host, clean enough and adequately serviced.

Room was good. View from room is also good. You can also cook food and also had nice balcony. But make sure you book same room which you have book from site / what's app. Restroom was common for all and also had some issues which are not excepted. Overall it was good to crash at night.

Beautifully located and the care taker Shakira is very accommodating.

If there is even a 0 rating i will definitely give it. The caretaker chooses whom she wants to stay in the hostel, the place is not even clean to begin with, and wont let us check the rooms, adding personal reasons that she is tired (as a customer its not pur concern) I honestly dont recommend this place 👎🏻

i stayed in a lot of hostels but this is by far the finest. Just like the pictutres, very nicely maintained and the location is good. So much to do around. The hostel is so nicely made and service provided is value for money. i miss this place already. JBR is the best place to live in dubai and looking for a reasonable option to stay just book this hostel.

The most comfortable and clean place i came across. The kitchen and bathrooms are always so clean. location is the best in dubai with spectacular views. This is the best backpackers stay for short and long term. thanks to the very helpfull staff
