Just
walked
in
to
lovely
decorated
Union
Station
to
purchase
coffee
for
gift
baskets
for
my
family.
None
of
the
whole
bean
coffees
had
prices
on
them
at
Parisi.
I
had
to
ask
for
assistance,
in
order
to
get
some
attention
as
two
of
the
three
baristas
were
engrossed
in
their
cell
phones
and
one
was
serving
a
customer.
Then
when
I
asked
for
price
information,
the
pregnant
gal
obviously
bothered
by
my
inquiry
replied
with
a
price
range.
I
asked
which
labels
were
the
$15
coffees?
I
guess
I
continued
to
bother
her
as
she
had
to
look
up
prices
on
computer.
It
took
a
little
back
and
forth
as
no
one
came
from
behind
the
counter
to
assist
me.
I
picked
out
my
coffees
$50/
worth
with
tax,
and
before
I
was
rung
up
I
asked
if
they
could
be
ground.
The
gal
who
rung
me
up
was
a
bit
more
personable.
After
I
paid
for
my
coffee,
the
cashier
just
placed
the
three
coffee
bags
in
front
of
me
on
the
counter.
I
looked
at
her
and
then
she
asked
the
others
that
were
mesmerized
by
their
phones
if
she
should
grind
the
bags
of
coffee
or
should
they?
The
one
who
was
bothered
by
my
price
inquiry,
said
she
would
do
it.
She
ground
the
three
bags
and
then
placed
them
in
front
of
me
on
the
counter.
Not
even
a
thank
you,
no
eye
contact
or
anything.
I
walk
with
a
cane
even
without
a
cane,
I
would
think
someone
would
ask
if
you
need
a
bag
when
you
purchase
three
bags
of
coffee.
It’s
not
like
you
can
put
them
in
your
pockets.
I
asked
if
I
could
have
a
bag.
Once
again
she
appeared
bothered
and
she
walked
into
the
storage
room.
She
came
out
and
said,
“We
don’t
have
any.”
So
I
asked
another
associate
who
had
just
come
out
of
the
back
with
a
cart
full
of
sodas
if
they
had
any
bags.
She
replied,
“We
should
have
some
brown
bags.”
She
then
asked
the
other
baristas
if
they
had
bags
and
the
pregnant
woman
replied,
“
No.”
If
you
want
holiday
spirit
to
go
with
the
elaborate
decorations
at
Union
station,
you
might
wish
to
bring
your
coffee
from
elsewhere.
The
only
reason
I
went
there
was
to
support
a
local
KC
business.
My
holiday
gift
baskets
always
include
local
KC
products.
Parisi
was
a
staple
in
those
baskets
pre
pandemic.
Guess
I
will
be
substituting
another
local
roaster
in
my
gift
baskets
next
year.
