Very historical place for Australians and New Zealanders during World War I.

Beautiful experience and highly recommend to anyone visiting turkey. The Turkish government has done a wonderful job with the memorials for the ANZAC soldiers. A tour guide will take you around the land and show you all the important spots. Anzac cove was breathtaking and it was very moving.

Beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. I think the amount of care Turkey puts into maintaining this historic site is wonderful. Ataturk should be proud ❤️

For most visitors to the Gallipoli Peninsula (both Turkish and foreign), a trip here is a pilgrimage and a remembrance of the horror of war. In World War I, Allied forces (British, Australian, New Zealand, Indian, and French troops) landed here on 25 April, 1915 to launch an attack on the Ottoman Empire (fighting on Germany's side). The brutal nine-month campaign, which the Turks finally won under the brilliant strategic command of army officer Mustafa Kemal (later to become Atatürk, founder of modern Turkey) resulted in 130,000 dead and more than half a million casualties, and today the pine-covered hills are scattered with sobering memorials.

I was in the middle of history class and we are learning about Gallipoli and WW1. This is a very moving and heartwarming thing for the Turks to do for ANZAC's. This will help me pass my exam.

An extremely moving experience. The care and effort that is put in to this site is evident through the well maintain sights. There are lots of places on the side of the road to park safely and pay your respects.
