The four of us had dinner there (3 Chinese and 1 Dutch). We all ordered the same thing. Our Dutch friend enjoyed the meal. But we all hated it. The food and drink (Thai tee) were too sweet. The taste felt kinda cheap, even for a 15 euro dish. The staff were very friendly though, hence the 2 star.

I’m Thai and this restaurant transported me back home 🥰 Honestly, the vibes, the cooks, and the tastes were authentic. So happy to have this restaurant nearby. Definitely becoming a regular here!

Food was delicious and authentic. Staff was warm and friendly. I highly recommend the crispy chicken with lemongrass rice dish. Oh and their Thai ice tea is a must!!

I walk to Saowapa Restaurant after work today since I'm starving. I also chose the stir-fried chicken with rice, fried egg, and basil sauce. I've eaten at many restaurants in Holland, but Saowapa boasts a chef with a Michelin star who is a lovely young man, as I can verify. I didn't think he'd be so good at cooking authentic Thai food. I'll be one of your regular customers. I appreciate the challenging meals.

I love this place, their food is really incredible. Sadly with the last price update it became kinda hard to keep eating here. Paying €16 for one take-away dish is a lot :(

My favorite Thai in Utrecht, the owners are so nice. If you order ask for the crunchy chili sambal you will have the best meal you ever had.

Great food and really affordable prices, I don't think you can have this quality of food with this price anywhere in Utrecht. The guy who is taking the orders there is really lovely and helpful. The menu is simple with few selected options. You can eat there or take it away. We where 4 and everyone had something else and was really delicious.

I have been coming here for a very long time. The food is still good (but not as good as in the early days). The people are friendly as ever. The prices, however, have become exorbitantly high. I think 17.50 EUR for a take-away pad thai is kind of ridiculous. I'm sad to say that I won't be returning anymore.

Very authentic Thai food - at a nice and cozy corner of the city. Also very calm and minimalist internal decor. On top of these, the place is run by warm and welcoming people as well. Highly recommend the Pad Krapaw stir fry dish (with rice) and Pad Thai noodles.
