One thing first: Being Swiss, I love the Mövenpick brand. Childhood memories, fantastic ice cream, nice hotels. So, I was really looking forward to my one night at this property. And disappointed I was: The rooms are in a bad state, the pool seems last to have last been cleaned before the pandemic, tiles are missing, beautiful Frangipani flowers are floating in in masses in the water. The massage jets in the pool are visibly broken. The deck chairs were dirty and have seen better days, the parasol was also in a lamentable state. And as I had a shower in my room after my visit to the pool, I noticed that the shower was really not very clean, hair from other guests still there and the toilet smelled... And the pillows on the bed seem to have seen much, much better days as well. Well, I am still here. Hopefully the breakfast tomorrow will be making up for some of the disappointment... This property is classified as 5 star. I have seen 3 star hotels in a better state. This will - it saddens me to say - be my first and last stay ever at this hotel.

A Terrible experience I would never forget I am normally an easy to please and very calm person. I always keep the unpleasant to myself. However, this experience for me at Mövenpick Sukhumvit is too hard to ignore. (1) The hotel operation was disastrous: I arrived at the hotel at 6:30pm and they took almost 1h45mins to find me an available room. Reason given was no room(?) while they should be expecting me to checkin by 3pm as per my booking condition….i was speechless! There was no queue at the counter and several of staff members walking back and forth from the counter to their back room. Quite a few of guests were sitting at the lobby and some of them even got so agitated and banging table ( I wasn’t sure what reason). (2) Hotel cleanliness is a serious of concern: when I finally got into my room, the floor and toilet was so wet the whole place smell terrible. That’s not all. I found a tiny object running around on my bed in the morning. It frightened me! If I had seen it before i sleep I don’t think i would even dare to go near the bed. I took a video of it and showed it to the staff when I checked out. She doesn’t seem very surprised though (?) (3) Surrounding the hotel wasn’t feel very good either. It kind of down and quiet. Their restaurant also limited menu. Rooftop bar like literally no ghost when we headed up. To me, I would never ever return to this place. There are many nicer place to stay in BKK. Lastly, actually I should write my feedback directly to the hotel instead of posting it here but despite the Manager and everyone there aware of my unpleasant experience, they said nothing to me. They don’t seem to be interested in their guests experience. That was why I have decided to post it here.

We purchased the three night stay with chocolate happy hour. The room itself was very comfortable however looked out over a garbage dump in the alley way. Staff we friendly and the rooftop bar was good with nice cocktails and friendly service. The location was good and they offered a free shuttle to the mall which wasn't too far away. The chocolate hour was a let down. Personally, I'm a fan of chocolate which is one thing that sold me on this package, however it was more like a dessert hour. You receive a plate of 3-4 small dessert samples. Of the three days we went, the only chocolate was an Oreo biscuit and a chocolate stick. It was quite misleading. It was a beautiful hotel though.

Our stay was fine and we would stay here again. A few service improvements and attention to detail could be enhanced. The roof top pool good and just long enough to warrant doing some laps. A few of the lounge chairs were broken. Breakfast was good with a great variety to suit all tastes.

Got confused as there are several buildings. The hotel decorated in quite an old style, some people may prefer (but not me). We stayed in a suite (got upgraded, thanks for a nice gesture) which was very spacious. Room is also an old-style tho, but well maintained still. Love the toiletries. Service was fine.

The building looks great but the rooms could’ve been better soundproofed, it wasn’t fun listening in on the next room’s conversations all night. Breakfast was so-so. Although Mövenpick is supposed to be under the Accor Hotels Group’s umbrella of brands, we were unable to collect any points for our stay (as they weren’t fully ‘integrated’ then) and couldn’t enjoy the usual benefits granted to Accor Plus members.

Close to Sukhumvit attractions. 5 star hotel But the service wants the hotel to improve We have come a long way to relax. have heavy luggage But we don't get any help from the staff. The staff can only look at us carrying heavy things from the first step we walk into the hotel. Which is different from other hotels that we travel a lot. It's not 5 stars, but the service is better. It would be great if the hotel improves on this point. Thank you.

The breakfast was excellent, very impressed with the people working there. Loved the coffee. People like Jack, Martin (restaurant) and Pat on reception sorted out little requests with noticeable professionalism. Location is awesome. Rooms slightly dated but truly excellent value all considered

I wouldn’t consider this 5*. It’s tired. My first stay was pleasant, now here for a second stay and it’s very different. It’s satisfactory but not what I had in mind when booking a 5* hotel. Asked if we can change the booking and upgrade but was told its fully booked, despite it being available online… The rooms are clean although it just felt tired and a little dated compared to some of the other 5* hotels we’ve stayed at during our trip through Thailand. The location and proximity to transport is amazing and the staff were great. My 3 stars is solely based on the fact the hotel was tired and needed a refresh. I’d say 5 stars for the service that is provided by the staff and making you feel very welcomed.

This was literally the worst managed hotel I have stayed at in my life. At check-in, we were told that only the first night was paid for by our company, so we paid for the remaining nights. We immediately contacted the company HR when we got to our room, and they said that the hotel had made an error. HR contacted the hotel and they admitted the error and said they would issue a credit. 3 days later, the charge appeared on my credit card. Front desk said that no credit has been issued, and that they would take care of it, and issue a refund, but it would take a month to process. She confirmed she would send me an email once it's done. 3 days more have passed and no confirmation. I now have to issue a dispute with the credit card company for a refund, The hotel also got the check out date wrong. HR had to fix that. The room was not cleaned for 2 days straight. The hotel said it was due to quarantine. I told them quarantine was over 2 days before. Again, so sorry. The laundry was picked up at 8:30. Guaranteed by 6 PM same day if picked up before 10. No laundry returned. I called and they promised it by 11 the next day. Here it is 2 PM the next day and still no laundry and no explanation why when I called. Just they are checking. There is rarely someone to answer at front desk. The food is horrible, The only good thing is that the bellhops are supportive. The location is OK, but literally any hotel in the world has a more competent staff. My company will stop all business with this hotel based on my and others' experiences...hundreds of nights per year lost.

I was staying for 4d3n and was very happy with service at the hotel. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. There is no halal food for breakfast but I still enjoy what I can eat like bread and fruit. Hotel room is very nice with bathtub. Staff Das is very nice to give us a free upgrade room. Hope shuttle to terminal 21 can start a bit early since sometimes tourist like to go out early.

Coming from the states. A beautiful stay for the start of our honeymoon. It’s our first time in Thailand so it’s hard to know where to stay but this location was great. The hotel offers a shuttle to the big mall so we took that a few times and used it as a base to walk around the city. Super close to bars and food and anything else you may need. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The landscape is gorgeous. I chose this for the photos of the rooftop and it did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful. Happy hour is an awesome plus and chocolate hour is delicious. I would absolutely stay here again.

I am giving this 4* as I believe that this does not hype up to the 5* standards, the room I was given looked pretty outdated something you would probably get in a 3* hotel. The breakfast choices were pretty limited although they did have a choice of different cuisines. However, I have given it 4* as the service from the staff is amazing and they are so hospitable.

This was my first time in Bangkok, and my first stay with Mövenpick - this will certainly not be my last! From the seamless check in on the executive floor, to all the amenities that came with booking the executive suite - it was truly an amazing 27th birthday experience. The happy hours with the food in the executive lounge was unmatched, so delicious and delectable. The decor and the ambiance of the entire hotel was elegant and showed so much class. This will NOT be my last time coming here, and I will be staying longer next time! Thank you so much to the amazing staff!

The hotel rooms are brilliant, but the service could be better. There was only one bathrobe and slipper in the room for the pool. We called for 1 more which took more than 15 min to come. Then at around 11pm we were hungry and wanted in room dining, which they didn't have. Next day we wanted bathing towels, which we called 3 times to remind and it took almost half n hr for it to come.

Located just 5 minutes walk away from the busy Sukhumvit road, the hotel features contemporary Thai decor with European and East Asian influences. We stayed a while back, just when the borders reopened under the test and go package. The whole process was smooth and well managed. At the airport arrival hall, we found the Movenpick team quickly. A dedicated shuttle taxi then took us straight to the hotel, where we checked in and were informed of the testing time later in the day. We waited in the hotel room for the testing staff, who came on time to take the samples. The spacious room allowed for a comfortable wait, and the test results came by email after a few hours, after which we were free to leave the hotel. The extra cost for the test and go package was reasonable enough, and the reception team provided great service catering to all the extra procedures due to the testing requirements. As the hotel stood away from the hustle and bustle, it was a welcome retreat to recharge after a gruelling 40hr transit and testing marathons. Tall ceilings and marble exterior blending in harmony with abundant greenery and lotus ponds - all in all a serene, polished establishment with tactful hospitality. There is also a morning market around the corner, where many office workers shop for breakfast.

Good hotel in a central location, short walk to Asok and terminal 21, they also put on a free shuttle bus there every half hour which was very nice. Great breakfast and nice friendly staff. Very cool rooftop pool area with a nice bar serving reasonably priced drinks.

I received a big and comfy room with a nice view of the greenery. I definitely loved the breakfast. Inserting card in elevator to access floors is quite inconvenient as sometimes it did not work at all and I had to do it all over again. I booked a limousine to the airport at 6.30 in the morning, at the price of 1600 THB. At 6.20 I received a welcome from a regular 4 seat car, not a limousine. This is quite unacceptable.

A brilliant 5 star hotel with amazing service. The buffet breakfast is huge, their chocolate hour from 4-5pm with all types of chocolates and a chocolate fondue fountain is fun. The rooms are comfortable and air conditioned. The rooftop bar is excellent. Their pool is okay but about to undergo renovations, so should improve. The street scape could be better though. The biggest impression was the staff, they were just amazing. So friendly, so helpful. Highly recommended.

Summary: the hotel appearance and amenities are not up to the five star standard as posted. Issues are minor maintenance, odors and cleanliness, wear and tear evident throughout. (Perhaps Covid aftermath) Breakfast was delicious, however. And, as is always the case in Thailand, staff are most helpful. A good value for the price.

I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel, and I must say that Martin's exceptional friendliness and willingness to go out of his way to assist me made my stay truly outstanding. His warm and welcoming demeanor created a delightful atmosphere throughout my visit. I highly recommend this hotel, thanks in large part to Martin's exceptional service!!

I am a frequent visitor to this hotel here in Bangkok for a business meeting. The facilities are clean, tidy and the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they go out of their way to make you feel special. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Bangkok

It's a great hotel and the staff is really welcoming and friendly. I've stayed here 5 times now. The pool is nice, and the area is within walking distance to whatever you need. The food is really good as well 🫃

Start with the good part- The service is good. Hotel amenities are good Bad part - Had booked a Junior suite as we are travelling with my son on wheelchair. They have 3 buildings and suites are only in the last building with is the farthest and most inaccessible. On requesting a change of room we were told suites are only in the 3rd building. Note; 3rd building is also the oldest and so are the rooms. The room was old and dated but comfortable The bad part was lighting in the room. Terrible bathroom design, no separate shower area, water comes out of the tub every time you shower. Finally Terrible wifi.

Check in and out process was fast, the rooms are very small (not recommended if you're claustrophobic) Room service is slow. It's a walking distance to the metro station, you can easily find taxis and toktoks. Wifi was slow.

My biggest complaint is the food. Every single meal i had was disappointing and i always thought of ordering some foodpanda. The only good thing in this Hotel was the Bed and the bathroom. The TV Quality was really poor, no fresh air and as i said the food was absolutely garbage. The worst dish was a grey, slimy, stinking piece of steak that tasted like a flip-flop shoe. Poor Quality Pastries and everything basically microwaved. If you want to waste your money, this is a hotel for you.

Fabulous food and thanks for the eco packaging but could this be adopted for all quarantine guests. Too much plastic is being used! Also many hotels in Thailand now use glass bottled water rather than single use plastic bottles as you do.

I have been staying at Movenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 for 14 days now during a quarantine. I give 8/10. I feel comfortable staying here but it might not reach 5 stars yet. -The service is nice and warm. -The room is pretty new and stylish with some little worn marks in the bathroom. -The temperature of the room was mostly well-controlled but was hot at night sometimes. There was no smell after eating in the room. -The internet was very slow at first. The download speed used to be 4.54 Mbps and the upload speed was 9.95 Mbps. It was fixed pretty fast after I told the staffs. -The food was okay maybe because it was not hot. I found some plates dry and hard but the chef already noted all comments and they are trying to improve the quality. Some dishes like the Salmon, Tom Yam Kung stir fry rice, and Grilled sea bass were really good.

Good value. We paid the small extra amount to upgrade to the Executive package and the included perks were well worth it and more. Excellent breakfast, happy hour with delicious food, in-room drinks and snacks, plus a wonderful and attentive staff made our 4 nights memorable. The guest relations manager Mohammad was excellent. All of the staff went above and beyond in service and cleanliness and always with a big genuine Thai smile. Well done everyone! Location was great, down a quieter street but close to everything Bangkok offers. We walked around quite a bit and the train is close if you need to go further. We will return.

This is our second trip for quarantine in this hotel. We must say that the service is more than expected. Room quite-big in size and nice. Room very clean. Reception Mr.Mohammad take full care during the check inn too. Food from the hotel excellent, very good taste. Executive Chef Mr. Sunil take full care for excellent food along with K. Nate (คุณเนตร) and K. Bum (คุณบุ๋ม). Even the reservation department take full care during the booking too special K. Nancy (director of sale) book a nice room for us. Even the bell boy k. Keng ( คุณเก่ง ) take full care for us too. We need anything will get in than 5 minutes. One more thing all the staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful too. We sure will recommend our friends and family who will be coming from aboard to stay in this hotel. Service of the hotel is like 6 star.

Liked - Breakfast is good - Bed is comfortable - Location is great Disliked Staff - Very slow, keep you waiting. - Appears they have different standard to treat westerners and asians. For check-in, we have to stand and wait for 30mins, no welcome drink and warm towel offered. But at same time, a group of Europeans came, they let them have seats, then offered drinks and towels. Similar incidents happened when we check- out. Not very pleasant stay.

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. They confirmed my test & go package within one day, which is very fast compared to the other hotel I previously booked. The staffs are really attentive and helpful, the location is central and quiet. The room is clean and the food from room service is very tasty.

  • 4/5 Jen N. 1 year ago on Google
The staff at the entrance were always very friendly and welcoming asked if I needed anything. That was the best part of the service. Staff at the front desk also tried to accommodate my needs and did a great job. Location is above average as it is a 5 min walk to terminal 21/ nearest bts station. Wouldnt be an issue if taking grab anyway. Good price for what you get. Feels like a 4 star hotel. For some reasons there seems to be a damp odor on arrival at the hotel which made the experience not as great as I remember from before. The room is clean and modern and feels comfortable. The only thing is the theme of the hotel is black in general and the elevator and room that i stayed in seem to be relatively dark.

Great hotel for the price. The room we stayed was comfortable and clean. Great amenities and a very nice pool and a rooftop area to relax at night. They also have a free hourly tuk tuk vehicle that takes you to the nearby mall.

We checked out, 30 minutes after checking in. This is a first for us, happy to pay to get out of there, tiny room, no spa, no mini bar, bad location. Joy on reception claimed we had to pay for 2 nights, if leaving directly after check in. We had booked 20 minutes prior, despite this, I then managed to cancel using telephone with no help from reception, booking.com said cost is 3300thb, cost for 1 of the 3 nights, which we were happy to pay to excape the clostrophobic corridors, happy to pay to leave. Please check room first, not a 5 star hotel

Great hotel for the price you pay. Location is good too, a short walk from the main road with access to public transport and the other hotels. A free ride to the shopping centre Terminal 21 every 30 mins. Amazing helpful staff

Nice, clean hotel. Great location. But the service was not good. First, they brought us to the wrong room (a twin room instead of a king, when we booked a king and said it was our honeymoon) and had to wait in the wrong room until they found another one for us. In the new room we were missing a few things and it took over an hour for them to bring the items up. Then at breakfast they sat us at a table, we got up to take food and when we came back, they had sat another couple in our spots. There were no more tables, so they didn’t have anywhere to seat us.
