This is an establishment of a place and have existed for a long time. Outside dining is also available. Food & Beverage menu is fantastic 👍haven’t been here since Covid and glad to see it just as busy as before. Food is also as good as I remembered.

Delightful ambience and amazing food. I really like how out of the box they make some of their salads (sugar snow pea is a must try). Bread is also very good. Went to both the commons and central world branch. Quality consistently good. That being said, this branch at the commons definitely scores for its atmosphere

Came back here again after many years and was amazed that the whole place still looks as good as the same. Used to be super popular but I guess the hype has really died down. Coffee and food is still as good - huge generous portions. Truffle pasta was pretty good. Service was good and attentive as well, not sure why some people complained about the service in the reviews.. I removed 1 star as they wanted to charge me 50 baht for a jar of water?! I have ordered drinks and food yet still need to charge for water I find quite unacceptable.

I have heard so many great things about ROAST and was looking forward to having a good time here. In all fairness, the food was actually pretty darn good but the service was quite lacklustre. The place (as pictured) was not very busy so not sure what was the excuse here. It was SO difficult to get the service staff’s attention. And even after conveying to them what we needed (water, extra utensils etc), it took AGES for them to come. We went in a group to share the dishes, and we were only given one set of utensil. And the staff was just plain unfriendly. Not sure if we offended them in any way. But anyway, the truffle Alfredo was super delicious. One of the best pasta we’ve had in recent times.

Great ambience with good food! Some items to recommend; The gnocchi was especially good - soft and nice! Big breakfast portion was huge! Ordered a few main dishes to share! Also sharing the festive specials menu in one of the photos! If you’re here for the gram, the coffee with coffee art is latte & mocha, the flat white has no art heehee!

Roast Coffee at Thonglor 13 (the commons) is one of the popular eatery spaces to hang out for many years. The space is well known internationally too. Few of my western friends (back in 2012/13) listed this restaurant on their top 5 must visit place for eatery in BKK. Good ambiance, spacious seating with excellent interior design (natural light shining direction etc.), plenty of menu to be pick from. Their brunch menu seems to be most talk of the town for many years. Place can gets crowded all the time. Especially during weekends day time. The food and bev is up to par, the staff are quite attentive, but as an overall presentation, its not the best. It was a great experienced and the place lives up to its hype, but in my personal opinion, its not "wow a solid 5 stars, its the best bread/egg I have ever had in Bangkok bla bla". No. A good experience nonetheless. Prices are a bit pricey but all good. Personal Fave Dish: Kale Salad.

The food is very high quality and the space has a great aesthetic. The staff was prompt and accommodating. They have a variety of “western” foods such as burritos, pastas, salads, eggs Benedict, and so on. The bolognese was honestly very good, I was surprised. My only complaint is the price is a bit high for general Bangkok, but it’s relatively reasonable for the area.

If you value good service with your food, don't bother... I was excited to try Roast in Thonglor as its close to my hotel and got out of bed just to see how good it was...I wish I hadn't bothered. The food was standard cafe style food and nothing out of the ordinary, though I do wish they'd serve the vinaigrette separately as opposed to all over the salad and all over the eggs benedict. The standout, or should that be the unexceptional experience was the service. Staff were rude in their manner and curt in their responses, and didn't explained things well; to receive such unfriendly service made my angry. I really wanted to tell waiting customers not to bother, and in writing this review, that is exactly what I'm saying; only eat if you don't care about service.

The restaurant is in the commons mall. We loved the ambience and service. The food, especially their blue Berry ricotta stacked pancake for brunch was delicious. They offer brunch, aka breakfast options all day.

My scallops with Cauliflower base were delicious. The corn could have been spicier. Tried my friends steak, it was delicious. Restaurant is on the highest floor with beautiful forest decor. Washrooms are a short walk away. Theres also multiple restaurants on your way

ROAST Coffee & Eatery in Bangkok is truly an amazing coffee shop that exceeded my expectations. I had the pleasure of trying their quesadillas and scrambled eggs with bacon, and both dishes were delicious. The flavors were on point, and the quality of the food was evident. However, the highlight of my visit was the dessert, an impressive souffle of chocolate and cookies paired with ice cream. It was a sweet indulgence that left a lasting impression. Aside from the fantastic food, the service at ROAST is exceptionally kind, and the fact that they speak English is a definite plus for international visitors like myself. The overall experience was nothing short of delightful. If you're in Bangkok, it's a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

It has a nice atmosphere. The food and desserts are very delicious. The coffee of this place, located on the top floor, is also good. Chocolate soufflé was very nice. There is no smoking area. It offers a calm and quality environment.

Food is good. Menu is limited. Service could be better. We asked for dessert menus. The waitress gave me one first, as I was at the corner of the long table. She went to get more menus and passed them to Me! handing it above! the menu I was holding & reading :( !!! She should walk along the long table and pass out the menus :(

It's situated at the top floor, with indoor and outdoor seating. Decor is nice with expansive windows with lots of natural lighting. Food was great too! The blueberry pancakes are very good. Would definitely come again

Pricey spot often with hit & miss food. ROAST Breakfast was huge, had good salmon and nice scrambled eggs; Gnocchi with Chicken was good flavor wise but the gnocchi themselves were too mushy. The seasonal Boston cream pie was delicious though, not overly sweet, a mix of textures from the dense but somehow refreshing custard cream pie with rich chocolate sauce to the cold vanilla ice cream and crunchy biscuit crumbles.

LOVED this spot!! It’s located on the top floor of a super cute plaza with lots of shops and cafes to check out. We ordered the Roast Breakfast as well as the blueberry ricotta pancakes. Both were so fresh and tasty. We also got the cold brew ice cube drink which was so fun and tasty :) highly recommend

A beautiful place that offers good vibe, coffee and food. I enjoyed the Truffle Alfredo and Chicken Gnocchi. For the former, it has a decadent, creamy white sauce infused with the aroma of reminiscent mountain woods. The latter has pillowy soft Italian dumplings that soaks up the slightly tangy sauce. Coffee wise, the aroma and taste could do better with more complexity and mellowness.

Perfect place for a good morning relax. Food is superb. There is a bagel shop named Monty’s at 1st floor (run by roast) you can order and have it in this restaurant. One of the best bagel in town!

Very cosy restaurant! I love the vibe. Food was delicately prepared. The dessert menu is fancy yet very tasty. I love the peanut butter ice-cream with pancakes and banana. The strawberry waffle tastes fabulous and very photogenic. The bread served as a starter is delicious. The main dishes are mainly western. The seafood risotto is amazing. Staffs are friendly. Pricey but worthy. Very popular in the weekend, especially the lunch time. Totally recommended!

Really awesome food, breakfasts, lunches and desserts. Big variety of drinks - coffee, tea, cold drinks, cocktails. Quite friendly and welcoming vibe. Rated 4 stars only due to they don't warn your that menu prices are not final (+7% VAT and +10% service). But again food and vibe are really nice

We had a beautiful brunch at this cafe. It is not crowded during weekdays, good service. Scallops are juicy and tasty with the pork bites. Pancake is delicious. Matcha latte, you will get to choose from syrup or brown sugar for the sweetness, it’s a plus point compare to other cafe won’t provide.

Tucked away on the third floor of The COMMONS in Thonglor, Roast is a casual eatery that's more than just your average coffee shop. It's a haven for comfort food lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly service, and a menu that's sure to please. Stepping into Roast feels like stepping into a friend's cozy living room. Exposed brick walls, vintage furniture, and soft lighting create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The open kitchen adds to the buzz, letting you watch the chefs work their magic on the delicious dishes. There's also a lovely outdoor patio that's perfect for people-watching on a sunny day. Roast's menu is a delightful mix of classic comfort food and modern twists. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. I love the pasta and tiramisu Roast is a great spot for a casual brunch, lunch, or dinner. The food is delicious, the coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and satisfying dining experience in Bangkok.

Cafe serving western food. Has great coffee, great ambience and good food. Ordered the truffle pasta and penne pink sauce. Both pastas were delicious and filling. The truffle pasta was fragrant with a generous serving of mushroom to keep you wanting more. The penne pink sauce was tasty and flavourful with salmon bits. Cafe also served free bread with butter.

Food was fantastic. Pan roasted Scallops, Grilled Corn and buttermilk pancakes are must try! Prices are affordable. Thong Lor outlet has lesser crowd as it is not situated within a mall. Note: this is the only outlet which has the breakfast menu from 8am-11am. They serve brunch from 10am onwards.

Great double cheese burger! Love the onions inside. Beef patties can be slightly more juicy. The house made Tiramisu was amazing. Will come again, they have so many interesting items on the menu!

Excellent place for brunch with friends and family. Their Eggs Benedict is one of the best in the city and anything with toast is absolutely delicious. We’ve been here many times for brunch and the vibes is friendly and relaxing. Their food is always up to par and the service is decent. The space is warm and welcoming. Perfect for the weekend.

Situated at the 3rd level, it is air-conditioned as well! Beautiful rooftop cafe, with pleasing aesthetics. Food was delicious, though pasta portion was albeit little. Would appreciate if portions are slightly more! Coffee was great, not acidic which I greatly appreciate.

Staff are fluent in English. Foods are nice, well cooked with decent ingredients, I believe. They have baby chairs and toys for your little ones, and are ready to help/serve you at any time.

The hardest , most expensive , salty Pork Chop I have ever eaten in my whole life. I didn’t expect the recommended menu with the price over THB 700+ (620*1.1*.107) will taste like this in the one of the most reputation restaurant [I need to request for chilli sauce to eat with since it is too sallty + it take nearly 30 minutes to serve the dish too hungry too wait] Suggestion: waiter should able to warn customer about the taste and texture for the expensive recommended dish. Those who love Pork Chop I recommended you to try it at Beast & Butter the restaurant nearby 200% cheaper and 400% more delicious esp thai customer because the sauce serve with the dish is quite nice. Other dishes value nearly 400 taste quite decent. Restaurant atmosphere and location is nice. One time is enough for me to pay for this expensive dish

  • 2/5 Matthew H. 5 months ago on Google
Food was alright. However every other additional request is chargeable. For e.g, we ordered pasta and asked for parmeasan cheese powder, it is charged for 60baht just for powders.. A small flask of filtered water 50baht. Things are that supposed to be free are all chargeable on top of the higher priced food. I think they had became too popular to charge unreasonably. Not worth visiting

Its located in The Commons Thonglor, the restaurant is on the top floor has both indoor and outdoor. Nice atmosphere to sit outside when the weather not too hot. But this is Bangkok :) Foods are great.

Nice place, difficult to find, within this building. Well organized staff, good Englisch, fast service and yummy food, you can sit inside and outside. Nice relaxing area in the middle of Tonglor/Bangkok, prices are OK.

Visited for breakfast. Was looking forward for the vegan breakfast. Place look nice and very welcome. Smell inside was not so good so sit outside. Ordered coffee, but the didn’t had any plant based Milk (which was annoying as i came there especially or the breakfast so had to drink espresso instead. Breakfast was ok. Bread was very good, the scramble Tofu wasn’t that good . Next time will go again and will try the other vegan dish that look good. Hopefully will have a coffee too.

Chill place for breakfast or brunch. Need to book table; otherwise, you might need to wait during this Covid. Recommend Salmon, Pork-loin and pancake dishes.
