I feel unhappy with the staff here. I went here to do health check up and Man at car park scold at me and also the nurse at health center 3rd floor. Unsatisfied services. My colleagues and I make an appointment before went to the hospital and have no problem. But when visit here have a problem the age haven’t reach to do some check up. I wouldn’t have a mess up if the staff told me before come here. Waste my time! No more here again if anyone looking for the hospital to do health checkup should go to the other place.

[DO NOT TRUST FAKE REVIEWS] The experience was nothing short of a nightmare and left me feeling angry and violated. I arrived at the hospital at 09:20 as scheduled, eager to receive the medical care. However, what was supposed to be a routine appointment quickly turned into a waiting game with no end in sight. Despite being informed that the doctor would be available at the scheduled time, I found myself waiting for over an hour with no clear indication of when the doctor would finally arrive… To make matters even worse, nobody at the hospital seemed to have any information on the doctor's whereabouts or any clue as to when I could expect to receive my medical care. The lack of organization, communication and professionalism was simply unacceptable. No one made any real effort to apologize for the inconvenience, nor did anyone seem to care about the fact that I was wasting my time and resources waiting for a doctor who was nowhere to be found. At this point, I was fed up with the situation and demanded that the hospital compensate me for the wasted time and resources paying at least the cab. It was only after I expressed my anger that they finally offered to pay for a cab back home. However, this was a small concession and did nothing to rectify the bad experience we had. In conclusion I cannot in good conscience recommend this hospital to anyone. The lack of professionalism, accountability and disregard for the well-being of patients is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated. If you are looking for a hospital that values your time, resources and health, I would advise you to look elsewhere.

W3BR. 1349 I got into a motor bike accident in Koh Samui and was transferred to this hospital after 4 days. I am on a 2 week vacation but my injuries have kept me here for way longer than originally planned. As a tourist I don’t really have anyone in Bangkok who can look after me. The hospital doctors and nurses have taken great care of me during this time. They are very responsive and won’t hesitate to do everything in their power on your recovery journey. I am very satisfied with the services as well as the facility itself. I was in 3 operations during this period, everything is very systemic and well designed. Needless to say, if it weren’t for this hospital I wouldn’t be able to travel back to the states with confidence of my wound being in a good state for a 20 hours flight!

I had the best experience at Ward 4J, they made me feel very comfortable and they were very helpful throughout my stay. I am happy I took the advice of the Doctor and get admitted, the antibiotics made me recover very fast. The lab results were also fast and I was able to be discharged about half a day ahead of schedule!!! I have been coming to Samitivej for several years and what really make the difference are it's people!

Excellent quality hospital. I had stayed here for taking medical treatments for 4 nights. It is not like hospital but 5 stars hotel. Here is very clean, all staffs have nice hospitality. My Doctor gives very clear information about process and step of treatment so I can plan my days, take strictly on her medical suggestion to recover soonest. Nurses on ward 5R I stay very helpful and have very good service mind. Maids is very hard working to make the room tiny and you feel like stay in 5 stars hotel. I've been going to this hospital at least 4 years. They even had me here for 15 days when I had the coronavirus in 2021 and almost died from pneumonia. I could not say enough good things about this place. The staff is incredible.Dr navy and Cardiology is outstanding. I've had so many good experiences here I wouldn't even know where to start I've had trouble leaving the hospital because I think it's become so attached to the place. Thailand is an exceptional place to get medical care but this place is exceedingly good even for Thailand standards

I was checked into Ward 4A. The team has been very professional, responsive and helpful. They made efforts to ensure that I understood what was happening and were very hospitable. Great job from the nursing team to the catering and housekeeping team. The room is very spacious and clean. Water is well stocked. The bathroom amenities are good. Does feel a bit like checking into a hotel.

This is a high quality hospital. It is also well-known for Japanese. Not too much people, clear process for examination, doctors and nurses can speak fluent English and also Japanese. Highly recommended for foreigners to come here

Last month, I’be done hemorrhoids surgery here, it was an urgent condition while I have to go back within couple days. We made a schedule with the doctors. The doctor is really helpful and explain me about the procedure. The surgery was quite fast, I went there around 3 pm and I got surgery around 8 pm. That was my first surgery, it was painful after but I can see the progress now, even I still keep in touch with the doctor which is really helpful. I can tell that the doctors there are the experts. The hospital is pretty clean, the nurses are so helpful and provide what I need the most after surgery. It’s recommended for you who wants to have surgery here but my suggestion make sure your travel insurance will work here.

I was redirected to Samitivej Hospital by my insurance company because they were not able to negotiate a reasonable price with Bumrungrad International Hospital for the minor surgery I needed on my foot. I had had a very satisfactory tympanoplasty and several regular annual check ups at Bumrungrad and I was keen to go there again, but I had to agree that their quote for this surgical procedure was really expensive, especially considering the depressed Thai economy and general lack of business due to Covid 19. It was as if they were raising prices to make up for their shortfall in volume. In any event my insurance company discovered the same exact procedure at Samitivej quoted at approximately half the price, so there really was no argument. I didn't know what to expect with that level of price difference, but I was genuinely surprised the moment I stepped out of my car at the valet parking station and into the luxurious lobby for a comparative consultation. Here was Bumrungrad but without the Macdonalds. Instead Au Bon Pain. It was a beautifully designed series of specialty areas, nicely furnished, displaying understated classiness with practicality and efficiency. The whole process was a delight; from registration through examination, and consultation to paying the bill at the cashiers. The only snafu was caused by Bumrungrad not supplying my medical records and images in a timely manner. I had requested them via email days before but they were never answered and I spent a long time on the phone with them from Samitivej to have them sent immediately but all to no avail. This necessitated my having to repeat the x-rays which were done in a matter of minutes. Anyway, long story short, it's two weeks later and I have just been discharged from Samitivej after an overnight stay for a cheilectomy (bone spur on the big toe) and I couldn't be happier. My surgeon Dr Aekkchai was brilliant, and the anesthesiologist excellent. The nursing staff were all very friendly and professional and I was impressed by the high degree of English proficiency of everyone I encountered, even the cleaners, porters and food service personnel. I can honestly say I felt no pain throughout the whole day and the outcome of the surgery has certainly resulted in much reduced pain and discomfort thus far. It was all together a very pleasant experience and I had a great night's sleep in the wonderfully quiet private room. I will be giving Bumrungrad a miss from now on. I have found a new 'go to' place for my medical needs whether my insurance pays for it or not. I highly recommend.

We stayed in Ward 4A and had our first baby. It was an incredible experience. The nursery were such a huge help in teaching us how to take care of our daughter. Everything from breastfeeding to bathing was carefully demonstrated. The doctors are just incredible. Both our pediatrician and baby doctor really knew what they were doing. She has made my treatment sessions worthwhile & effective. She is very modest and will go the extra mile for her patients, is never rushed in answering my questions and clarifying my doubts, despite her above-average English speaking skills. She deserves the highest commendation for making your hospital proud.

From the time we arrived, the nurses at Maternity Ward 4a have been so welcoming to the point we never wanted to leave. We even extended our stay voluntarily. The nursery nurses are knowledgeable, kind and helpful. We feel safe leaving our newborn in their care. They are also very knowledgeable about breastfeeding and willing to help first time parents. Whenever we ask for assistance, we got a response within 5 minutes even at odd hours. The care was terrific and we never felt like a burden for asking for help. This the sort of maternity care that any new parent needs and is definitely the gold standard. Thank you once again!

I stayed in Ward 3B (W3B) at Samitivej hospital from 21-30 June for an operation to remove a stage 3 tumor from my colon area. The doctors, nurses, surgeons and anesthesiologists were excellent with wound, pain and infection management. I had little pain and was very well taken care of by all of my doctors and nurses who were responsive, caring and knowledgeable. I don’t recommend stage 3 colon cancer but W3B made the experience very pleasant and helpful for recovery.
