Because there were so much reviews and good ones I had high expectations of this restaurant. Food was a little below average, the positive thing was that the pasta really taste like the pasta freshly made. I didn’t really like any pasta dish, my pasta vongole with mussels, had no mussels and when I asked the waitress she said they ran out of mussels. Maybe she could have ask my if I still wanted that pasta ? The pizza was good, stone oven quality so that’s why I gave them 3 stars instead of 2..

This place was suggested by an Italian friend as the 'best Italian food joint' in Valencia. The food was very good. Very nice ambience and tasteful interior decoration. Service was great, a special shout out to Serena, our waitress. While I don't know about Italian portions, the portions were small in Spanish standards. This place is usually full and you'd often find people waiting outside for a table. So, reserving a table is highly recommended.

The first time we went, reception was a mess. We were turned away, like people who came before and after us. Not clear what the problem was (covid passports?) but they were not handling it well. The second time started the same, but due to a misunderstanding between the staff, we managed to get seated. I think one staff said to the other we didn't have a reservation but the other understood we had one. There were plenty of tables available but the waitress was worried about it (again, multiple empty tables throughout). There's "greedy" wording throughout the menu: minimum order per person, maximum time allowed at one's table, etc. We were a little put off by this, but it had no impact on our behavior (we were planning on ordering more than the minimum and couldn't stick around too long anyway...) Food was ready very quickly and was delicious. Once we were seated, service was excellent. It would be a classic if intake was less chaotic.

I really wanted to like this but I just couldn't. The appetizers that we chose were just different variations of cheesy stuff: potatoes in melted cheese, aubergine in melted cheese and salami in melted cheese. For mains we tried 3 different pastas and neither of them really impressed any of us. The best of it was probably the carbonara one. The waitress also repeatedly came up to us and told us our time at the table is running out, which we already knew

A very busy restaurant requiring an online reservation. The restaurant is very cosy albeit a bit cramped. There is a heated street terrace. There are two rather dirty toilets upstairs. The food was not overwhelmingly amazing. The lasagne was very good but the pasta carbonara, and pasta cozze and vongole were not that good. The calzone was fine. Pizza and lasagne are delivered from the sister restaurant Santa Rita, around the corner. The wine list is impressive. We had an excellent Albarino. Chocolate cake and tiramisu were quite good, excellent espresso.

They almost always have a line out the door, so we were very happy when we saw we were there early, about 7 PM, and were able to get a table right away. They had so many delicious options! We got the shrimp, pistachio, and arugula pizza as well as pear and cheese pasta with pistachio sauce. They were both delicious options. There were a lot of vegetarian choices, but not vegan. And it ended up being cheaper than I expected!

We had an amazing dinner at this place. Especially the San Tommaso pizza that was given the finishing touch at the table was very special. Vibe and service was good. Our waitress Laura and crew made sure we had the perfect evening :-)

We ate here in the evening on our trip to Valencia. From the first moment the service was unique and very nice! The food was excellent, both the burrata as an appetizer and various pizzas and pasta dishes are highly recommended! We had a good time here and the price was also very good and absolutely fair. We would come back at any time !

San Tommaso is a charming little tratorria in Valencia, Spain that offers delightful Italian food in a friendly and cozy ambience. Clients have the opportunity to either sit inside or on the terrace on the street. Both are wonderful and so either way would be enjoyable by the clients. The food is just out of the world, be it in variety, quality or in taste. The freshest ingredients are used and cooked with such love, that you feel light and nourished when you consume it. The staff are highly friendly and qualified and offer good advise on making the right choices of the items depending on your taste. The price is also quite reasonable for the quality offered and makes the overall experience even more precious! Although it seems to be named after the Saint fondly called 'The Doubting Thomas', there is no doubt that this is one of the finest restaurants in Valencia.

Back after a 3 year absence. I ordered the rigatoni which came baked and too dry. I ask for some sauce and was informed they do not have any marinara... at an Italian restaurant! Wife had baked egg plant, way better. Service was ok. It has grown in size and left behind the kitchen quality.

Excellent food, drinks and desserts. Very large portions. Good wine list and drinks menu. Really good, efficient & friendly service. Make sure you book in advance as it gets busy, even on Sundays!

Had my birthday dinner here, the food was very nice, but the portion sizes are extreme. The portion of gnocchi was fine but the pizza was very big for one person and for dessert, my boyfriend and I shared the chocolate cake, which they say serves 2 on the menu. (In my opinion more like 4) We couldn't finish either of our plates and maybe took 4-5 bites of the cake. The service was however questionable. First of all, I found it weird that we had three different waiters taking our order, bringing our food and clearing the table. Then they mixed up our order for antipasti and got the wrong dish. They were very nice and took it back, but it took a lot longer for us to get our appetizer. The second waiter who cleared our table after finishing our starter, put our dirty forks and knives back on the table and we didn't get new cutlery for the main dishes. Then, the waiter that took our order for dessert was very rude. In the end, I don't think I would come back here. For the price and how "upscale" this place is trying to be, it's not worth it.

I had high hopes for this place. It's a shame, the service was so incredible but the food was downright disgusting. The pasta tasted like it was mixed with condensed Campbell's mushroom soup. I have never had pasta this terrible in my life. The potatoes were soggy. Everything lacked flavour. The only saving grace was how amazing Andrea's service was. He was attentive and very professional. The food 'looked' great, however it was disastrously bad.

This place never fails! It was our second time here and, as we expected, we had a great time and even greater food. Thanks to Serena for the service!

🍽Food: 5/5 🤵🏽‍♂️Service: 5/5 🪑Ambiance: 4/5 📝Notes: This was defiantly the best restaurant I’ve been to in my Valencia trip. I would definitely drive from Madrid just to come here again 🥰 The staff are very welcoming and the food was AMAZING!! Knowing the items on the menu, I can tell that this is a true Italian restaurant 🇮🇹

The best meal I have had and still talking about it 3 years later!! We went to Spain for my birthday and actually dined here 2 nights in a row… from the very handsome greeter to the very attentive waitstaff it was perfection… when I told the host that it was the eve of my birthday, he created a space for us inside next to the bar the following night when we returned he seated us upstairs… it was very lively with chocolate cakes and happy birthday singing all around… they have a special treat with an awesomely bright & tart limoncello shot that comes complimentary at the end of your dining experience. Truly memorable and will make a trip to Valencia just to dine here again!!

As for Spain it’s a good place. After having multiple amazing food experiences in Italy everything in Spain is just horrible, but San Tomasso was pretty good and me & boyfriend stayed happy overall. The place is nice & cozy, food is good and fresh. Waiters are nice. We came early (1 pm) and were one of the first. We didn’t have a reservation. When we were leaving I saw a huge like outside waiting. Spanish people usually would go to eat around 2 pm so if you want you can come earlier and most probably you will get the tables.

Delicious Italian dishes, including many, many varieties of pizzas. Very good service from friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and warm decor inside as well as tables outside.

Mains were amazing, staff super friendly and speak really good English too. Very very fresh pasta, and sauce had a lot of flavor, i had the meatballs, which were very good. Losing a star as the desert was like eating a bunch of packaging peanuts, but other than that, well worth visiting and lovely decor inside.

Service only rates a bit lower because it was crazy busy. All of the wonderful staff did their best to keep up. Food was amazing, the white wine we bought was out of this world good and just a cozy and nice area. I'd recommend sitting outside to get the vibe of the area as well. I've never been a master at photos, so excuse the photos. They don't do the food justice

One of our favourite Italian restaurants in Valencia. Make sure you book before visiting, especially in the evening. I've been here three times over the past 5 years and always been happy with the service and food. Nice outdoor seating for those romantic meals. Staff are always accommodating and friendly, they also speak several languages. Would totally recommend.

My goodness does this place have the best pasta I have had in my life. We plan on coming back for pizza 🍕 next time. This hidden away little gem stole of heart and stomach away from Spanish Paella. We ate here at least 5x during our month stay in Valencia. 1 Year Later: Still the best pizza and pasta place I have ever eaten. We were just in Rome for 4 days and nothing came close. Do yourself a favor and go to San Tommoso as many time as you can while visiting.

The food was amazing, an appetizer and main course was easily enough to satisfy, so we took half our pizza with us. the staff was pleasant albeit a bit rushed because of the high demand inside the restaurant. The restaurant also has a rustic interior with a cozy ambiance. The pricing is neither cheap nor expensive, but more than fair for what you get.

The only annoying thing is that yu have to wait for a table outside unless you have a reservation for indoor seating. Other than that the food is delicious. The cheese cake and the chocolate cake are amazingg. Must try for sure. Pizzas are so delicious.

This place is special. A true hitting Italian jam in the middle of Valencia. The meats and cheeses work great. The wine were lite and clean. Just ask the staff recommendations and they’ll take care of you. It was an easy walk to my hotel!

This was my favourite restaurant in Valencia. Limonecello Spritz was so good and the pizza’s were superrrrrr good! Had one with buratta and jamon iberico and one with san daniele, parmesan cheese! Phenomenal, I guess not cheap for Valencian standards

Very neat and good restaurant! I do advice to make a reservation. We made a reservation for outside and we had really nice company from buskers who were really good! The service was perfect, really friendly people. I do recommend San Tommaso!

It’s a perfect place if you are looking for a good Italian food. Servers are extremely polite and hospitable. Prices are acceptable according to the food and service. Our waiter Dario has a big smile and high energy and made our lunch unforgettable

Best meal in Valencia! We missed pasta even though we liked most Spanish food. This was our last proper meal of our stay. Very sumptuous restaurant, delicious food, friendly service at regular prices. We had a spaghetti vongole and spaghetti with vegetables. Both were delicious and a good sized portion. Loved the fact that the vegetables were served on the side. Typical of Italian hospitality we were served a complimentary limoncello at the end of our lunch. They have a vast menu so there is something for everyone 's taste. Very central just off La Reine square.

Food was amazing!! Service was good.. waiter gave recommendations for wine and the meal! However we waited 1 hr 15 mins for our food to arrive so we were starving!! Atmosphere was lovely. Overall I’d definitely recommend. Amazing Italian food 🤩

Food and atmosphere were perfect, we got the burrata and truffle potatoes - they were amazing, then both got the Carbonata as a main, also fantastic. Booking 100% needed, the place was packed with many people still trying to get a table. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

The best Italian Restaurant I've ever been to.

  • 4/5 Catherine C. 2 years ago on Google
Very fairly priced Italian food! The walls have a collection of photos featuring celebrities eating at the restaurant. The pizza was very large! Bottom of the crust could have been a bit more well done. Also note that their margherita pizza does not have basil. They give you a cup full of Parmesan with your table which seems like overkill - unsure if they reuse the excess parm as even a parm lover coating all their food with parm would not be able to make too much of a dent in that cup of parm.

Best Italian restaurant in Valencia I’ve visited. Great tapas, and great for dining as well. The personnel is also very friendly. Only downside is it’s quite busy, and even with a reservation possibly you have to wait outside a bit…

🫤 The place is very nicely decorated, as if you were surrounded by tents and in a jungle. Very well done. The food was delicious too. What is a major disadvantage of this restaurant is that you have a time block of 1.5 hours. We were with another couple of friends and had to order everything immediate...
