I went with a friend and try the anatolian breakfast. Everything is fresh and homemade. Love the big çay received at the start. You are here for a feast!!! I recommend this restaurant to anyone and hope more foreigners will visit Van and go to this restaurant for an amazing brunch. Turkish/Kurdish people have a strong breakfast game!

The best breakfast place in Van that serves homemade goods! Almost everything on the table is homemade and very delicious! If you want to try real traditional breakfast, this is the place you should go :)

Amazing breakfast café in Van. It's a must try whenever you are in the city. The staff is extremely nice, the breakfast is delicious and fresh, and the portions are huge. We had the Van breakfast, which consisted of 12 different dishes (cheeses, butter, jams, tahini, unlimited tandoori bread, olives, honey, and unlimited tea ). Plus the interiors are so beautiful, it gives you a real feeling of the region. Highly recommended :)

I have been visiting and living in Turkey for over 10 years and this is by far the best breakfast I have had anywhere in the country! The friendly and smiley owner and staff present the absolute freshest and best traditional Van breakfast specialties as well as a delicious selection of delicacies from nearby regions. They make everything themselves or bring it from nearby villages. Van breakfast is famous throughout Turkey but in most Van breakfast cafes nowadays they serve packaged cheeses and jams. Here in Matbah-I Van they have special and rare local cheeses and they make all the jams and other items themselves. They even have goat milk butter !! The decorations are also beautiful and all the plates are handmade copper. I highly recommend anyone visiting Van to come here :) definitely come hungry because the portions are extremely generous! You can choose either traditional Van breakfast (set menu for 2), or Anatolian breakfast which has the same items as Van breakfast but with some additional items as well. They also have an open kitchen which is nice!

Having a Van breakfast here was a good choice! They have homemade jellies and different kinds of cheeses. Especially, they serve fresh hot bread from the oven. 👍🏼

The best breakfast I have had in a restaurant in Türkiye. The entire staff is working at the kitchen and you can see how everyone is in sync. Service is a bit slow when restaurant gets crowded but the quality of the food compensates. A must to go place while in Van! Restaurant’s decorations are also gorgeous.

This restaurant only do Turkish breakfasts, so if looking for something else, don't go there. Great experience and the best in Van.
