This is a good hotel for the price. However, the female staff was rude at breakfast. I looked for a jar of jam, but couldn't find it, so I tried to put it in a small cup. Then the female employee yelled at me while many guests were eating, and I was very embarrassed. All the guests looked at me during the meal and I felt very, very uncomfortable and offended. Instead of standing still and watching the food being put, she should bring the missing dishes in time. She should have spoken to me noiseless quietly enough and brought me a bowl of jam. Not just staring. And make sure you get rid of any lipstick marks left on the cup.

Not a single English word will be useful there stuff and reception speak only Turkish. Location is good but it’s a small city and there’s lots of hotels nearby. It’s not a good place if you drink any kind of alcoholic drinks even beer. They are religious and will spit on you.

Located at central of city near of beşyol, staffs were well behaved and trustworthy, if you need anything just call them and they do their best, if you can not speak turkish they understand english fair enough, hotel was clean and full of light (in turkey energy is expensive as a result other hotels use less light bulbs). due to the fact hotel price is cheap, there is no air conditioner so remember if you visit in summer, always check for Van temperature at nights to be under 25 centigrade. the breakfast was amazing good with this price and i posted a video in google map videos. the only problem was that there were many drunk guys which were screaming on the street at midnight(not in the hotel. specially on holidays) after all i absolutely recommend this budget friendly hotel with helpful staff.

Average hotel for the price, good location and friendly receptionists if you don’t have any inquiries or a problem to be solved. Good that the wifi works most of the time. Find ants crawling on my bed when I wake up the second day, but I guess it’s because of the rain. HOWEVER, if you want to use the laundry service, make sure you have 2 days to wait for it and have the patience to check on it every few hours. Otherwise it’s pure disaster. I asked for the laundry service on my second day of stay in the morning, and they promised that it’d be done by night the same day. When I checked on it in the evening, they said it’s going to be done next morning. I told them that I was going to check out the next day, so it needed to be done by one hour before the check out time at least. They promised that it’d be done. I had been waiting for the laundry to be delivered (they asked me for my room number, so I guess it’s reasonable to just wait) but it never happened. At 10:30 I went to the reception and they simply said they’d check on it. 15 minutes after “checking”, the receptionist came back with my laundry. When I returned to my room to start packing, I found almost everything was still wet. Most irritating part was, once I came back downstairs with the laundry, the receptionist seemed to already know that it was undone. I mean why wouldn’t he know? I don’t think clothes should and will be air-dried with hotel laundry service, and they do have a dryer. I really suspect that they just did the laundry right after I checked on it, by the smell of it. I asked them for late check-out at least until the laundry was done, they first asked me “oh you’re checking out today?” and rejected it. They said I could leave my luggage in the luggage room and pack there. I didn’t hear a single “sorry” the entire time, and as I got irritated at the end (I believe I was behaving okay until the luggage room proposal), they seemed to be annoyed too, lol, how and why? I had to replan my day, and I’m so glad that I was not going to catch a flight. If that was the case I’d be totally fxcked, either throw everything into my backpack and wait for it to get stinky as hxll, or give up the flight. Thank you very much, I missed my buses and at the moment writing this, I’m stuck in a small town and missed a night of my next hotel. Good job. I would’ve given five stars if this didn’t happen, but it definitely ruined my mood and plans, so two stars in my opinion are already generous.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful my stay was! I added time because it was just where I wanted to be. Harun the owner was a tremendous guide, and now my friend. His sons were very helpful, cheerful, and professional. The hotel itself is quite comfortable and well-tended. Breakfast was superb. In all ways, the service is from an era when the guest mattered, unlike the big hotels today. They are in my heart, and I'll definitely be back!

We stayed in the room for 5 guests. The owner met us and helped us checked in. The room was clean, comfy, and warm with all the basic amenities. Turkish breakfast is included with the fee. Breakfast is basic and tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful as well. It is a nice basic accommodation for backpackers.

Initially, I booked online this hotel for one night, because of something that I have to do in Bitlis, I extended my night at this hotel. I like this hotel, price is affordable, clean room, the staffs are so kind and close to everywhere . There's always taxi at street nearby hotel. I'll recommend this hotel for my friends who want to spend their vacation in Van city. but one thing that it's not Ok for me is breakfast, bcoz of my Indonesian tongue always taste spicy 😌🥰

Wonderful hotel with amazing staff who speak good English and are very helpful and friendly. Very comfortable beds with clean and comfortable beddings. Spacious and well-lit. Absolute no need for any AC, as the weather was cool even in peak of summer. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The staff are incredibly kind. Very central, walkable to all restaurants and shopping areas. Owner helped us arrange amazing trips, he personally drove us for very reasonable price. We had a wonderful time thanks to Toprak Hotel.

Toprak Hotel is a hotel with very friendly staff who are fluent in Kurdish, English, Arabic and Turkish languages. The rooms and environment are clean at the level of three stars. During our stay, as it was in the month of August, the heat at noon and the lack of cooling equipment were bothersome. In the last days of our stay, the hotel manager, Mr. Harun Toprak, had purchased hotel coolers, which, due to the high price of energy (electricity) in Turkey, used coolers daily The rent was given, and the amount of the rent was only for the energy consumption of the air conditioners. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at Toprak Hotel

Very clean and comfortable rooms with really good and helpful staff. Located almost in the center of the city. The hotel manager or owner was a kind and friendly man (Mr Haroon). They can speak English, Kurdish and even farsi as well as Turkish. They serve basic breakfast but in good quality. The prices are affordable and good according to the services. It is really recommended

It's simple hotel with a lobby at the first floor. rooms are big enough and is good for family. staying 4 people in a room is absolutely ok. It's clean and new building. No tea or coffee facilities in room that i hope Mr. Harun provide it in future. tea pot is available at the entrance and you need to take cup from there to your room to take a coffe. In general very caring family hotel with helpful staff are hosting here. Thank you for your hospitality Harun bey🙏🏻

Great hotel, a bit expensive compared with other ones in the region but they provide a very good breakfast, so it compensates. Clean and great location.

It's a new made hotel at the heart of the city, near to shopping centers and the main street of VAN and you just have 5 minutes walk to the stores and shopping centers. The problem is thay the hotel has not any Air conditioner in the rooms which is really weird!

We went there at the end of the march of 2022 and again i want to book it for the same time in next weak, as a 3star hotel it provided super clean rooms, the breakfast is normal and good enough, u can find english speakers if u cant speak turkish just like me The location of the TOPRAK is great, it is close to besyol square and near the russian market. By the way, as a 3star economic hotel its very satisfying and i suggest it.

Pro tip. Dolmus to the Iran border can be found right outside the hotel. Ask at the reception.
