UPDATED - I'm truly sad about having to update my review in a negative way as I used to love this place, see comments below. But the quality of the food has seriously dropped in the last two times we've been here since the renovation. I only wish I had taken a picture of the food so you can see the comparison to what we previously used to have. We had family join us (who own a restaurant themselves) and all the meat was overcooked, even the vegetables were terribly cooked and just looked dead. The platter for 4 people was disappointing, they justified it by saying that it's one piece of meat per person, but for a sharing platter one piece of meat for each person with sides for £80 was definitely overpriced. We would have been better off ordering a roast plate each. We did have to request for them to bring more beef. The service was friendly and attentive so that kept the remaining stars. Really turned off by this experience and not sure we'll make the effort to trek an hour to come here anymore. Seems like ever since they have the renovation the food quality has dropped substantially. ---------------- Wonderful Sunday roast, wish we had discovered this place earlier since we live nearby. High quality beef roast and vegetarian option with all the trimmings you could want for a roast. The carrot and mushroom gravy were definitely a highlight. A very filling meal too. Attentive and friendly service, with good Covid procedures in place. Will definitely come back.

Love this local gastro pub! Recently renovated, the atmosphere, menu and outdoor space create a welcome environment for a beer after work or a true Sunday Roast on the weekend. The Nduja Scotch Egg with piccalilli is worth a shout-out!

Amazing place, attentive staff and delicious food. We served lunch here in a Sunday afternoon and it was a lovely experience. We ordered beef and chicken, very tasty and big portions. Delicious

The Lillie Langtry, a great pub on Lillie Road, brilliant, an oasis in a desert. A fine pub with great beer both on keg and from the cask. The staff are adorable, helpful, full of mischief and make me smile. A great place for a beer. Happy me!

Clean and high end pub with okay prices. The bar didn’t have any Prosecco and couldn’t make mojito. The worker was sorry but we were still left with limited the options. The drinks we ended up ordering took quite sometime to come. It would have been great to know before ordering

Food was really good but the service was above and beyond. We were weary from a day of traveling and wanted a good meal but our two year old had different ideas being exhausted from his day. The team was most helpful getting us served and even boxed up a few items for us even though they don’t do takeaway. Very helpful, and we much appreciated it. The entire team was very helpful. The Roast Turkey was very good!

Awesome place for Authentic Italian food. If you are a fan of Italian food please visit here. Whatever options in vegetarian food are superb. Whatever I say is less. It was a great experience in London to have great vegetarian food. Also got the ticket for Sky Garden which was not in our list but it was a great experience.

Lovely place to eat and drink, especially on a summer evening. The overall aesthetic is lovely, a classics posh pub. Cosy inside too. The prices were higher than we would like but not unexpected. I had the mussels and chips and thoroughly enjoy it. My friends enjoyed their meals too- a burger and chips, and fish and chips. However, the fish and chips had ~10 chips on the dish which was a bit stingy haha. Overall would go again and so recommend :)

Had a Sunday roast, was really good. Couldn’t really fault any of it! Rosé was delicious. Only thing was the service with getting served & the bill was a little slow but still all round good experience! You also get some chocolates at the end which was a nice touch!

The perfect place for a party! The food is amazing and the staff were so lovely and accommodating (Balloons & cake were external). If you are looking for a place to host a party this is the place their upstairs room is gorgeous with plenty of seats, a separate bar, and an option to put your own music on 🙌🏻

Superb Sunday Roast, the Chapter Roast was quite the challenge but well worth it! I look forward to visiting again later this week!

Lovely place, very friendly staff, and the food was great, I had the vegan burger, it was really good. A bit pricey but the vibe and the quality make up for it, I'll go there again in future and would recommend

Surprisingly excellent hidden gem. Food far surpasses normal pub grub and staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Couldn't recommend enough, a brilliant find!

This was a super little find close to our hotel. The food was really good and the service very friendly and accommodating. What also impressed me was the little handwashing bowl above the toilet in the cubicle. Brilliant idea!

Have walked by here many a time going from West. Brompton station to North End Road before a Chelsea home game. Never stopped as usually packed out front & inside!! I was a bit earlier this time so decided to give it a try. I'm a real ale drinker so ordered up a Timothy Taylor's Landlord. I wasn't disappointed. It was very nice indeedy & went down in less than 10 minutes!! So ordered up another, had a few chats @ a table, then went on my way. I would recommend this establishment to all. Bar staff are friendly & so are the patrons. Cheers.🍺🍻

Only popped in for a couple of pints. The food menu looked good. Friendly service. Had a pint of Gallows - delicious and a Naked Ladies - okay but not as good. Very comfortable surrounds and stylish decor.

What a fabulous little pub! My dad and I were visiting London on a short holiday from the USA and found this little gem near our Airbnb on the first night and ended up eating there three out of the seven days we were in London! Quaint setting, classic British pub and fabulous food. The burger was one of the best I’ve had, and the Sunday roast (I had the pork belly) was spectacular. Extremely friendly staff and just a pleasant place to hang out. It was so good I felt compelled to leave a review. HIGHLY recommended!

I read the reviews and thought it was a perfect place for a Sunday roast. The place looked lovely and the waitress was polite. However, we got the menu 20 minutes after sitting and waited one extra hour for the food. On the meanwhile I got a coffee and probably was the WORST I’ve ever tasted in my life; the FOOD wasn’t what we expected, the sauce was sooo heavy and I eventually didn’t manage to get through half the plate ( I eat a lot). Either way I wasn’t too disappointed until I went back home and felt so sick, VOMITED the whole night and got food poisoning from that. I wouldn’t write this bad review if it actually wasn’t one of my worst experiences so far.
