CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!! They charge us auto tip 15%😒 without saying any word! Also the card machine ask to give the tip so I give them 30% tip that I don't want to pay!! And they keep rushing us to order when we enter the restaurant. Food was a bit salty and and the service was Terrible I ordered wide noodles but got regular ones, and didn't even apologize about the auto tip. I think I'll never come back this location again.

Had the BBQ Pork & Wonton Noodle Soup. The portion of pork was generous, and fairly tender and fatty. The soup itself was soothing and flavourful, with some fried garlic for an added punch. Hon's is a good spot for Asian comfort food and they also have dim sum, rice and noodle dishes. They have a nice location on the outskirts of Olympic Village. Clean interior.

I'm struggling to understand why this joint has such a low rating. I agree that there's nothing spectacular about what they offer, yet the food they serve is very decent and for a reasonable price, especially taking into account the area. I like that the menu is minimal but covers all the essential Cantonese dishes. Service is absolutely amazing, and the joint itself is very clean and neat. Maybe I'm not that picky, but I think this place deserves solid four stars.

We decided to grab a bite on the patio at Hon’s Wonton House. We have not been to a Hon’s restaurant in years. We ordered rice rolls, potstickers, beef brisket noodles and spicy pork lo mein with wontons. The flavours brought back a lot of memories dining at the Chinatown location on Keefer St. The rice rolls, potstickers, and beef brisket noodles were good. The spicy pork lo mein with wontons was a miss. The soup that came with it had too much white pepper and it was undrinkable. I would still come back if in the neighborhood. Hopefully the soup is better next time.

Clean place with pleasant service, but the dim sum food quality was very poor and not worth the price. We ordered the pork siu mai, but it’s a “bait and switch” with the actual food being drastically different than the photo in the menu. See attached photo where they plopped the food on the table, which looked like it came out of a back alley. The dim sum food quality from the frozen aisle in T&T is vastly superior than what’s served here.

Haven't tried Hon's in ages. It definitely hit the spot and brought back old school memories of a noodle joint. Ordered take out, and it took about 10 minutes to get everything together. Ordered 7 items. The kitchen is open so you can see the noodle process. Noodles nice and springy. The fried dumpling was low key really good. Would go back and get that again. This place really focused on the items on the menu so it's definitely more of a "I feel like wonton noodles and a few other things" versus I'm looking for 100 different options for lunch. Parking - street metered parking. If you drive around and don't mind walking, might find some free parking 5 - 10 min away.

Super delicious place to get a hot bowl of noodles on a chilly day. The lunch rush was busy and while we didn't wait for a table the restaurant was almost full the entire time we sat in for lunch. I highly recommend getting the beef brisket as the chunks are deliciously tender in the soup. The wontons are tasty and I recommend getting a side of the spicy ones of you like a bit of heat. The black sesame buns are warm and fluffy buns with a sweet smooth nutty filling. A tasty way to end the meal

Have not been to Hon's after they closed on Robson. Decided to go for lunch today at their 2nd ave location. Ordered the Wonton noodles. Service was fast and efficient. The food was another story. The soup was completely bland, only slightly more flavor than water. I had to wonder whether the chef had even tasted the soup as no one would serve soup this bad. Noodles were OK. Wontons were average. All in all, worst wonton noodles I've had. I haven't tried anything else but if you're interested in wonton noodles, this is not the place.

We go to Hon's every week for a bowl of shui gao noodles (shrimp + pork dumplings with wood ear mushrooms). We love having a warm bowl of noodles and dumplings (5 in each bowl!). It's comforting and delicious. When Hon's first opened in OV, the noodles were soggy and dumplings weren't tasty. But they've greatly improved in the last couple years. Noodle texture is good - with just enough bite - and the dumplings are delicious. We love loading up our bowls with red vinegar and chili oil. My biggest feedback would be that the chili oil isn't spicy... it's actually a bit tasteless. I would love if they could improve the quality of the chili oil. That would be a 5-star experience :) Service is good, and place is very clean. We love going to Hon's every week.

I had dumplings here, especially the shrimp one was the best. I love their chili oil so so yammy.

Absolutely love the food!! It's a must try! Flavors are on point and freshly prepared. The take out is delivered separately so you can mix it fresh at home. Always a pleasure!

I avoided Hon's when they were on Robson Street because I heard about their intensive use of MSG. I recently read a Google review that says they seemed to have reduced their use of MSG, so we tried them for lunch. I ordered BBQ pork on rice. While the pork is not exactly pork belly, actually, it was not freshly BBQ'd and seemed quite dry, I was only mildly uncomfortable in my tummy after lunch – and that might be because I ate too many pieces of port (indigestion) rather than having an all out CRS (Chinese Restaurant Syndrome). The Gai Lan was very fresh. And I saw other items like pot stickers and braised beef which I might come back for. As well, the reason I chose Hon's was because I wanted to pick up a package of rice rolls, but I didn't see any grocery store fridges in there. I asked just in case, and they have it – I was able to purchase a package of Hon's rice roll – I was happy about that. I was going to give 3-stars for the food. But the service was pleasant – we added one more star just for service.

I've ordered take out few times so I don't have much input other than they kept of forgetting the utensils both times. Foods good in my opinion however, the serving amount could be improved but I doubt it'll change

Spectacular service, they are always there right away to fill our water and check in on our enjoyment of the meal. The food is simply sublime and it's my new favorite place to eat take out or dine in. It's been great to slowly try everything on the menu. My partner and I come often and they are ready with menus when they see us coming.

Good service, reasonably priced, food was fast to come out, and it was quite delectable. Relatively small selection of food, but what they dish out is good! Ordered noodles with beef brisket, spicy dumplings, and hong kong style iced tea: came out to around 18

I pick up ordered at this place for the first time and it was SO good. We had dumplings wonton soup, lotus leaf sticky rice and dim sum and everything was delicious! The price was reasonable and my order was ready under 15m. Definitely recommand the place!!

Favourite place for Cantonese food - especially their dim sum, wonton noodle soup and HK-style lemon tea! Reminds me of Hong Kong. Very clean and simple dining room too.

Hot, tasty, fresh! I picked up an order to go, it was done on time, and the service was super friendly. Portions are great for the price too. They made sure I had everything I needed (chopsticks, condiments) before I left. I'm so happy and lucky to have this place in my neighborhood :)

I was pleasantly surprised to come across this place while walking in the area. I remember going to Hon’s years ago on Keefer. I ordered the wonton noodle soup and my partner got veggie chow menu. For me it was almost like comfort food and we were quickly seated and brought tea. The place is small but clean and had a good atmosphere. There were some crunchy bits in my wontons which I’m not sure what it was. My partner’s chow mein was just noodles and onions. Though the prices were good I feel maybe they could have tossed in a little carrot and mushrooms or something. The lady who served us was nice and we would definitely return next time we are in the area.
