A must visit Vancouver landmark since 1988, he was awarded (world's best pizza award) (It's not a joke). It really is the best pizza you will ever have. Everything is so fresh and authentic. You don't want to miss out on this little shop. Make sure you find the place and enjoy the pizzas.

Please read the sign about Ranch Dressing twice! Lol This place is awesome. We got to park our bikes out front. Eat our pasta inside. Btw: the spaghetti bolognese is DELICIOUS. You must try this place out. This is 100%+ authentic. The people who run the place are very friendly, and they just give off good vibes. You can tell they put a lot of love into their food. We’ll definitely be back. I need to try the pizza! 🍕

I ordered a pizza and waited for it. The owner is very friendly and obviously takes great pride in his pizza. I was particularily concerned watching that he never washed his hands between handling the cash from those who paid for slices and the dough he got and handled out of his fridge (breaking food safe rules). I tried to ignore it and enjoy the pizza he ended up making. It was pretty good, though it got soggy sitting in the box. The quality of ingredients were definately there and the crust was fantastic. However, the two of us that ate it spent the entire night with food poisoning when we got home a few hours later. That was the first meal of the day for me, so it wasn't anything else I ate :( Still feeling sick the next morning. Bit upset since was looking forward to trying the place for years but rarely visit downtown and I'm sure it was a fluke case, but not sure if I'll eat here again after.

I was just visiting Vancouver and this place was round the corner from my hotel so thought I’d try it out. Went in and started talking to the owner, he invited me into the kitchen to watch him make the pizza. He’s clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about good pizza. I ordered the pesto one and when I bit into it I can honestly say I’ve never had pizza like that before. The base was just super crispy. Lots of cheese too and the pesto sauce had lots of flavour.

I'm really sorry to say this, as I read that the owner really cares about the place and does his best. But that is not an authentic Italian pizza, and it's not so good.. I ordered a new york pizza - pepperoni, mushrooms, green pepper, and added pesto as I heard it's incredible. Pesto is. Pepperoni's not. It's not even baked, as it's completely covered by other toppings - you can see on the picture(( The dough is delicious, but the rest leaves much to be desired. P.S. thanks for your reply, dear owner, it really may be a problem of my choice. I wanted a pepperoni pizza, but I also wanted to try your pesto. So instead of ordering two I just mixed them. Will give it another try! :)

Decided to visit after reading all the phenomenal review. To be fair, their Pesto sauce is unlike anything I've ever tasted, and their base is nice and chewy. However, it is just not my kind of pizze ( I prefer crunchy thin, and with more topping I can taste, i.e: meat or mushroom). Still, for anyone interested, I think Did's pizza is worth a visit still, but maybe start with one slice to see if this is your kind of pizza.

The last of a dying breed, Dids is the type of establishment that when you walk into, you immediately feel uncomfortable. And yes that is on purpose. The pizza is elegantly simple but too complex for your understanding. Just let your tastebuds guide you on a journey you will never forget.

So far best Pizza we’ve had in Vancouver. We had a New Yorker pizza. It had delicious crispy New York style pie and fresh ingredients. Friendly service, too.

Mr Did is charming, a little eccentric but nice crispy pizza. A succession of paper plates decorated the wall with slogans like "no garlic sauce!" and "no, we don't do chilaquiles!", Or the vaguely existential "no sauces of any kind!" If you grew up in Mexico and are used to ketchup on your pizza, forget it. The pizza is pretty good, and the pesto is apparently home made. Oh and did I mention pizza is $4 a slice? A pretty good deal.

Absolutely delicious pizza. And the service was great. Guy was very nice and patient while I chose my first ever Dibs pizza ! (Siciliana with artichoke hearts and freshly grated parm). Delicious. Spicy. Crispy. Fresh. Great spot AND AND AND reasonable prices too!

The most requested are the pizzas displayed in front, which are perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Without a doubt they are delicious, there also is a menu that offers pasta and calzone. The atmosphere is very pleasant due to its paintings, photos and history that can be seen in the place. I recommend staying to eat there for a while.

It's a quirky place and totally worth a visit. Got a pepperoni slice and a mushroom slice. Price was phenomenal, quality was beyond that price point, and I really liked the staff - friendly & outgoing when ordering and leave me in peace when I'm taking my time eating.

If you like pizza that’s crispy and chewy at the same time, this is a perfect place, no flop! I have never had pizza so perfectly cooked with the freshest ingredients and flavours, Did’s has mastered his recipes and takes special care in everything he makes. I was a chef in the navy for 10 years and I am from the east coast, this place will blow your mind. Did’s is also very down to earth and cares deeply for his craft, pay him a visit, you will thank me, trust me!

Alright, this is 'the' best pizza in town. I stumbled upon this place casually and technically challenged the owner to impress me. And boy was I impressed! This is better than any pizza in its class. The freshest ingredients, the crunchiest bite and the most succulent cheese and sauce. Stop ordering from Dominos. Pizza Hut? Trash. Spend your money here, you'll thank me later.

Friendly staff/owner. Fresh cheese grated on top of pizza. Crust was excellent. However, the sauce was mediocre at best. Great prices

Vegan slices! Did's focaccia slices are so good! It's amazing to find vegan pizza slices in Vancouver :) such great prices too! Thank you soo much Mr Did!

Did’s pizza is so good. It’s fresh, gourmet, and his pastas are perfect. So creamy and delicious. The portions are perfect. His pesto sauce is out of this world. An old recipe. And his hot sauce, not vinegary at all. Fresh lemons, spices and chilli. Any pizza there is a good choice. Everything he does is with perfection and precision to his culture and his craft. Do yourself a favour and eat here.

Don't be fooled by the size of the place because the pizza is authentic. We ate the Shmeatza. The crust is substantial and tastes great. Their recommended pizza is the Pesto pizza.

  • 5/5 Jimmy L. 2 years ago on Google
Yes, gourmet pizza. Boys loved it, went back twice. Did taught us something new, good pizza should not be greasy on the bottom. If ever in Vancouver, a must. Merci from Ottawa.

Excellent authentic pizza. Every flavour had a distinctive taste. A perfect balance of crunchy and softness of the dough. A big attention to the ingredients was clearly made, even for such a affordable pizza. I can highly recommend to grab a slice if you're downtown!

Been eating here for decades (previous location too). I'm pleased to see Mr Did still working the front line, making his world famous pizza!! His newest world first pizza 'pizza polenta' is super good. Pepperoni is done just right and his vegan stuff is amazing too. Check it out!

I was really, really hungry. Cheese messes me up. They had vegan. $3.75 in 2 minutes. I ate it. May the Force be with you, you lovely, lovely humans.

There is a reason this reason was rated the best worldwide pizza! Did knows what he's doing with his pizza's! Ask for bis grandma's hot sauce and that will enlighten your pizza experience :). Pesto pizza is my personal favorite

Pretty awesome Pizza. We aren’t from Vancouver and decided to try some Pizza. The order was quick and the pizza was delicious. Loads of flavour and the perfect composition. 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a great slice!

One of the best pizzas I ever had. The pizza crust was just right, and it wasn't greasy. I loved the pepperoni pizza. Mmm good. It tasted authentic. The owner-chef works alone, and he is from the Sicily. Next time, I'm going for a pasta. Looking forward to it.

  • 5/5 Pearl. L. 1 year ago on Google
My name is Alexandre, and I ate here yesterday, and it was delicious. it's also a very good price. The pizza isn't greasy and the owner is very friendly. He let me behind the counter so that I could get a photo with him. I recommend Did's pizza to anyone who is in Vancouver and is looking for some good pizza, just don't ask for dipping sauce!

I ate at this establishment twice during my visit to Vancouver. The pizza crust is truly exceptional, boasting a delicate, thin, and crispy exterior while maintaining a soft interior. The base of the pizza shares these qualities, allowing you to handle a slice without it collapsing. What sets this pizza apart is its ability to retain its crispiness even after some time, a characteristic not commonly found in other pizzas. Mr. Did, the mastermind behind the dough, attributes its secret to 'Love and Passion,' although regrettably, he did not divulge his recipe. The flavor of the toppings is delightful, further enhanced by the generous addition of Parmesan cheese after the pizza emerges from the oven. If I ever have the opportunity to return to Vancouver, I would unquestionably eat here again.
