Hands down the best falafel in a pita in all of Vancouver. The falafel balls are made to order, the toppings (salads) are not the usual chopped lettuce and tomatoes you find at other places. The salads are fresh and come in an array of styles. The hummus is fresh and seasoned perfectly with just the right ratios of lemon and garlic and tahini form creamy smoothness. And the pita bread. Oh, the pita bread! Soft, pillowy, warm and flavorful. This Isn’t the dry and thin product you’ve come to expect at, say a donair place. This alone could set it apart from every other Mediterranean restaurant. If you’ve ever wanted to experience what it’s like to eat and be doted over by an authentic Israeli mama who can cook, head over to Ofra’s Kitchen.

This is clearly a gem eatery with authentic Israeli vegan food. I had the Falafel in Pita and it was a symphony of flavor with divine textures and freshness! My husband had the Simple Shakshuka (fire) and it too was packed with fresh ingredients and flavor! Service was delightful and safety protocols followed... I'd love to keep this place a secret but it MUST be enjoyed by many... Five gold stars earned indeed! Miss Fancy xoxo

Amazing falafel and israeli "pita" ! ! ! Ofra is lovely and have a great costumers service . The place looks clean and follow the covid 19 roles. Ofra wore a mask and there were dividers between the tables. The atmosphere was aoutentic and cozy. Highly recommended !

My favorite restaurant on Denman St and the best falafel in Vancouver 💯. I have probably been more than 10 times since Ofra opened this restaurant. Ofra is that type of person who makes you feel at home (and there is no place like home). Her food is amazing and I’ll be back at least 10 more times or for how long I’ll live in Vancouver. Picture is from a stuffed eggplant platter 😋

Ofra’s kitchen is hidden little gem at busy Denman St. Fantastic meditation Israeli restaurant offering fresh and delicious food options, mostly vegetarian and vegan. The owner - Ofra is very friendly and accommodating, looking after each customer and providing invaluable advice on food options. Several solid options such as falafel and hummus, but also few new takes on some popular dishes such as falafel burger. Several options of traditional dish Shakshuka comes with eggs , but you can request egg free vegan option with cheakpeas and spinach. Shawarma on plate was a good and very tasty and filling option. Not many tables inside, but that makes atmosphere really unique especially with some Mediterranean music playing. Thank you once again Ofra and can’t wait to come back!

You will absolutely LOVE eating here..whether for a quick snack, lunch, dinner, or dessert with Turkish coffee. I have been a regular here at Ofra's Kitchen ever since I had Hummus Fungi (highly recommended) for the first time. The attached picture is Malabi, Middle Eastern dessert. So yummy. Ofra is incredibly warm and friendly. The food is incredible, authentic Israeli cuisine (and that's coming from someone who just got back from a year in Israel!) I got the sabich pita with limonana (mint lemonade). It was perfect!! Highly recommend, will definitely be coming back.

I went here because of the reviews. Now I’m starting to believe they are all family members that left the positive reviews. I had to bring the attention of the waiter to serve me. Slow, the food really isn’t great for the price. The homos was dry, as well as falafel. Thought it was yesterday’s food. Not fresh. I ate it, filled me but wasn’t satisfied at all.

This place is an amazing experience! The thing that makes it so wonderful is your host, chef, owner and new friend Ofra. She's one of those people that is 100% in the right place and doing the right thing. Her hospitality is amazing. She made friends with everyone that arrived, or was already friends with them. The food is simple, honest and delightful. The food is all vegan friendly, making it a must visit for vegans and vegetarians. The restaurant itself is a little run down, but managed to be homey with it! Pay Ofra a visit for lunch or dinner, she's a Vancouver gem!

Excellent home made food, full of flavour. And Ofra is great. She's so welcoming to everyone I always feel like I've walked into my mom's kitchen. ❤️

Became a regular here. Just a random find. The hummus, falafels and pitas are mount watering. Along with the positively loving attitude of the lady who runs this place, I feel welcomed and enjoy my time here

I went to Ofra's today for the first time and had the falafel pita and the veggie burger. Both were amazing, really good hearty food that left me feeling full and satisfied. If I had to pick between the two I'd say the falafel was slightly better. I also grabbed some desserts to go. The lemon cookie was very tasty as was the vegan baklava. The owner, Ofra, was working and was very friendly and pleasant! I will definitely be back.

Delighted and enchanted! Ofra's kitchen was a wonderful restaurant to visit and spend time with Ofra in her kitchen. Delicious Israeli dishes and a baklava that truly hits the spot, just like it should be.

Excellent food if you are looking for Vegetarian or vegetable rich dishes. Lentil soup was tasty, and the salads fresh and well spiced. We decided to order several dishes to share and topped it off with a delicious Turkish coffee. Will be back next time we come to Vancouver ❤

Great food! Happy to have a nice cup of Turkerish coffee. Authentic and a great price! The owner is a lovely person dedicated to making sure you are looked after during your meal. I think this place is a hidden gem of Vancouver. Take the time and stop by if you are in the mood for some Israeli food or just something uniquely part of Vancouver.

Such a great gem of a spot. Ofra is so lovely and kind, and makes some of the best vegetarian food you'll find. The eggplant platter is one amazing dish!

This woman is a one-person band; she takes the order, preps, serves and takes payment, all in her stride whilst serving multiple customers. We had the houmous with falafel and the vegan sausage shukshuta. A little taste of Israel, vegan style.

While visiting Vancouver I was looking for great middle eastern cuisine. Ofra's didn't disappoint, after reading many raving reviews! Wow what a great gem! We had the falafel plate, a falafel wrap, the vegan sausage was delicious. We will most definitely be back and Ofra is exceptional and wonderful. A must try for vegans and non vegans.

Amazing Kitchen! Two Thumbs Up! You might be suspicious of 5 stars of the kitchen just as me and my friend did. We became curious and yesss, it became one of my best in Vancouver. I bet her falafel and hummus is the best among whole city, but if you are a veggie lover, i also highly recommend you to try Tuesday sth. Not only perfectly seasoned, fresh and loaded dishes, also Ofra herself is the best of the Restaurant. Kind and lovely owner just made me come back to her kitchen again. Only bad thing is that i found this place way too late. If i have a chance to have my vacation in Van someday, definitely i will be back here as my first ever meal. Im willing to give her 7/7 as lucky 7! (..Btw dont do this🙏🏻as a greeting🙃)
