Overall the quality of the food was good. The eel still had many smaller and bigger bones which was unpleasant. Also the staff were polite but unattentive. When we finally got her attention, she said hold on and went to serve other customers. Skeptic to return.

So good and fresh. One of the best in Vaughan. Order at least an hour in advance to avoid long wait times.

I gave 5 for quality, service, taste, big chunks of fresh sashimi and huge pieces of sushi. But one observation that could be a coincidence - each time I ordered rolls with tempura or tempure bits the rolls were too oily with a slight taste of burnt oil. So I just stopped ordering these types of rolls, because everyhting else is perfect.

Formerly one of my favorite sushi places for several years- they recently went through a menu change and rebrand- notably increasing the prices on some of their items by 25%. The portion sizes are great but the quality of fish is not always inconsistent. Same with the service. There are two lovely servers there that are very friendly, kind and attentive but I have had different experiences. I would say the most popular remark among customers is how busy they can get. It can be slow and crowded at times so I would be selective what time you visit. Overall still a good place but has some room for improvement.

I forgot to leave a review sooner. Ordered takeout for our dinner party a couple weeks ago. Everyone enjoyed it! I have also been here for lunch to dine-in and the service was great! Good portions (I had to take some to go). Thank you! Will be coming back for more sushi! ^^

*** update: I was there yesterday and I noticed quality has gone down significantly, I guess as a result of the new management or the new owner! Our server was super friendly but the roll I always get since 2020 was not the same. Plus annoying fruit flies 😒 . Best sushi ever! I always go there. Spicy double double and Philadelphia rolls are highly recommend, super delicious. Since I tried this place I can’t go anywhere else!

The BEST sushi, rolls and sashimi in the GTA. Always fresh and tasty. Must try these rolls: Salmon roll, Spicy Tuna roll, Spicy Double Double roll (with salmon inside and on top!), Philadelphia roll (a very unique roll). 🥰

Walked in here one day during the week after work, got a medium size sushi & maki platter, the portion is generous. Quality of fish is 4 stars considering the price, and the tempura is crispy juicy - 5 stars, service is 👍 always ask me if I need more tea or not. Recommended !

Been ordering for 7 years, the new ownership is really rude on the phone. I noticed a difference right away, the guy on the phone was arrogant and had sarcasm in his voice. Usually staff is very friendly, today they looked scared of this new short guy owner. Very turned off because this used to be a great sushi Joint. Message to new owner: Maybe learn how to speak to people if you're going to be in the restaurant business or you will lose all your customers one by one. Also, go back to your old house dressing for the salads, the new one sucks!

Small space - calm atmosphere as there are not a lot of tables. Food is decent, but the portions exceeded our expectations given the price. Great service - server suggested alternative dishes without asking. Food preparation is a bit slow, but not a big deal to us. Will be back for sure.

The overall experience was alright, first time trying with a friend. The food wasnt anything spectacular as the rice was mushy in the sushi. The donburi with sashimi had lots salad under, something I was not expecting. The price point was a bit high for what it is.

I came here on a Saturday night and the service was subpar. The staff were eating dinner and not attentive to us whatsoever. They didn’t allow substitutions although they said they would allow it at first for an extra charge. Quite disappointed with the sushi, not up to standards at other restaurants. pros: - no wait time - quick food cons: - no substitutions - not attentive service - minimal ginger and wasabi overall rating: 3/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place used to be decent, but it went downhill. Owners obviously are just interested in making money without putting anything back into the business. The place already looks so ran down, it’s disgusting… i can only imagine how things are behind the scenes. Food quality has also deteriorated, inconsistent quality. Ordered two salads, one of which was filled half way with the dressing. Also their server’s are not interested to making ur stay pleasant - un attentive and not friendly. Meh, time to take my wallet else where…

Used to be good now the quality is not the same, prices are high and service is poor. We ordered a dragon roll and there was a microscopic shrimp in it. Mostly just batter. Tuna use to be much better.

Waiter’s were rude and got annoyed when I asked a question about the salmon roll. The quality of the salmon wasn’t as tasty and fresh as it used to be.I ordered the seaweed salad as well and specifically asked for it without crab, I sent it back and they gave me a fresh one. This place used to be good, but the quality has changed. The overall atmosphere was nice.

This has been my family's go-to sushi place! We've been ordering here for over a year now and it has never disappointed. We love their varieties in rolls, the sashimi, and they always give us extra ginger when we ask. Even my grandma, who is quite picky, loves their deep fried sushi rolls. Highly recommend trying their sushi!

Quality sushi at a lovely little restaurant, definitely worth the money and the price I felt was worth what was being offered here! The outside may not look as enticing but I promise you if you take the time to go in, the ambiance is relaxing and the staff are professional, you won’t regret it! I really felt welcome here, this was my first visit as I am new to the area. Unfortunately it was late after work and I didn’t have the time to sit in the restaurant so I had my food “to go”. I cannot wait to come back and sit in and relax and eat! I took a peep 👀 around at some others eating and enjoying themselves as I walked out and it intrigued me even more to have the dine in experience next time. Have a look I took one picture but I had to take a bite of one first haha. I had the tempura shrimp and California rolls. I also bought chicken tariyaki which was served on a bed of cook cabbage drenched in tariyaki sauce with white rice 🍚 on the side.

Delicious sushi and sashimi. Had the 32 piece sashimi combo. Was a little too dominated by salmon sashimi but still delicious. Also got the dynamite roll and Orangeville roll. Both good but Orangeville was the best. Really good miso soup as well.

Sushi was good, had ordered a Kani maki roll. Also ordered the Yaki soba chicken dish and was super disappointed. The chicken was dry, they didn't have soba noodles so we had to pay extra for udon noodles and there was barely any sauce in the dish. Very bland and hardly any flavour. Had to stand in line to ask for extra sauce and then had to get it to go due to my husband being done by the time I got my sauce. Got it home, tried it again and just terrible. Straight to the garbage. Husband also got the bulgoki bento which also lacked sauce/flavour. I told him I would no longer join him for meals here. Given the price, one would expect flavourful food. Instead straight to the trash. Pic is after I added the extra sauce...just terrible. Used to be a much better place...

Best sushi in the universe, period. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, I eat here at least once a week! I don't go with anything fancy, usually salmon avocado roll, spicy tuna roll, etc. But I have to day the ArooWha roll and the Double Double rolls are top notch. I highly recommend this place! Some people might say thay the maki size is big, but I think they are great because you get a healthy portion of fish and a little bit of rice.

Amazing place! I’ve ordered from here for 3 years and it has always been amazing! The food, staff and everything else is very nice! The only reason that I gave this place 4 stars and not 5, is that sometimes they get your order wrong or forget to put something on. When they forget something, they always give you credit for that item and you get it for free in your next order. One time they missed 2 orders of white tuna sashimi, and we could just order it free next time! Overall, amazing place with great potential, just recommend paying more attention to orders and when you DO order, be extra clear on what you order.

Visited this place 2 days ago. I ordered an orangeville roll and a spider roll, and the order arrived faster than I thought. The rolls were fresh and it was delicious to the tastes. It may be slightly bigger than your usual anticipated size, but it's more than worth the money you pay for. Will visit again. Definitely recommended.

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Toronto and an amazing place to experience the highest quality Japanese food. The chefs here are very skilled and serve the freshest fish. It's worth coming even from far away. ToGo is also available and the staff members are friendly. I highly recommend it, especially the roll variety.
