I love the food, small and cozy restaurant and very friendly staff. The appetizers are great. I liked the kashk bademjan very much, it came with bread as well I ordered Bagalee polo with muscles and it was tender but more cinnamon than I'm used too; it over took the dish and canceled the flavor of the rice (bagalee polo.) BUT don't get me wrong; still very tasty!!! I will be going back to try more. My mom is an amazing Iranian chef so I'm very picky. Definitely recommend 👌 👍

I was thoroughly satisfied with my beef koobideh. Taste very authentic and healthy. Finally a persian reataurant for us to enjoy in woodbridge. Huuuge portions and friendly staff. It's sad that their grand opening was March of 2020 .. they were only in business for a few weeks and then had to close due to the lockdown. I believe they would have had a bigger crowd if times were different but they deserve to be known and enjoyed. They have an outdoor seating area as well as a spacious interior. Highly recommend!!!

Tried Rumi's for the first time a few days ago. Nice to see Iranian food in Woodbridge. It's a clean spot and the kabab is good. The kabab is pretty home-style which is nice, especially the koobideh. I enjoyed the chicken/juje and kabab torsh more though. The kabab torsh had good flavour, as it was marinated generously with pomegranate and walnuts. The menu did feel more on the pricier side but I guess that's how prices are these days. Staff were kind. Overall, I recommend coming here.

They were able to accommodate our large group on their patio close to closing and when it started to rain they made arrangements to keep us shaded. Our waitress Zara was so kind and went out of her way for us. You can tell their food is made with fresh ingredients and their flavours are so unique. We drove here from Ajax and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Fell in love with the taste after the first bite itself. The packaging itself was so appealing that I couldn't resist myself from having the first bite as soon as I reached home. Great food. Fast and quick service. I stated this before as well in one of my reviews and stating it now too, your experience with Iranian people can never go wrong!

Quiet and nonchalant ambience with delicious savoury Persian meals. Friendly staff and washrooms are located in the basement. The rice is perfectly fluffy with the right touch of yellow saffron rice. A difference is they don’t serve tahdig with their dinner plates & give a white garlic sauce. Their chicken kabobs are tasty & koobideh tastes like a mix of beef & lamb. Otherwise both delicious meals.

First time trying the food here and it was delicious! Ordered on their website and picked up my food within 30 mins. Ordered chicken leg skewers and Koobideh skewer with Rice. Everything was cooked perfectly. Looking forward to dining in and trying other dishes from this restaurant too. Small restaurant with a nice cozy atmosphere.

Not the best Koobideh in the town, but definitely one of the best! The portion is on-point, the food is fresh, and the packaging is perfect.

Just got a plate of food and you can see the plate has half rice and half empty Paid more than 19.49$(tip included) And this is what I’ve received Talked to the cashier And said to her this plate is half empty she replied “that’s a lot of rice, I can’t do anything about it” Disappointed Will never go back 👎🏻 -responding to your reply: I paid 19.49 for food and tip also. I did aks you nicely that I’ve never seen a plate of food like this half empty!!! And you replied to me “that’s a lot of rice” Are you kidding me?! Talking about being nice? Now you’re telling me “we could give you more rice” This is disrespectful!!! You get paid for proper plate of food not half!!! You need training for customer service! The way you responded to my concern was nice ? I even told you unfortunately I’ll give you review and you replied again”that’s ok”!!! Never going back

This place has become my guilty pleasure. My husband and I have been coming to this amazing Persian restaurant every Sunday for the past 3 months. A very nice and cozy atmosphere, with one of the best and authentic Persian cuisine and delicacies. Highly recommend the waziri plate for first timers. The service is amazing the young lady who is there, Taran, is very attentive to our needs and special requests. She is very pleasant and makes our experience even better. The food is truly one of a kind two thumbs up!!!! Best service, food and atmosphere!!!!

The food was very delicious! I came here for the first time with my partner, he has never tried Persian food before. We came to dine here as locals and were in disbelief with the taste of the filet mignon. We have never tried it cooked this way before. You could say we will definitely be back for more!

Absolutely loved everything we ordered here. Had vaziri kebab very tasty and juicy I highly recommend. Lovely service and warm ambiance. I would love to come back again to try the rest of their menu.

I discovered this restaurant recently and it exceeded my expectations when it comes to quality of food and the atmosphere! It was smaller than I expected but it was warm and cosy. The music was relaxing and the service was good despite they being short staffed.

Really excellent food, incredibly flavourful and very generous portions! The eggplant dishes are absolutely incredible and the meat dishes were delicious too! Would highly recommend Rumi's for a great atmosphere, delicious food, and very kind staff.

I have been to Rumi's numerous amount of times for their food, takeouts only so far. I love it.. Delicious, juicy meat on a bed of soft rice, and veggies. My go-to is the koobideh (ground beef skewers) & ash reshteh (soupy noodle dish with beans and incredible flavours). I love the presentation (very colourful) and the taste (quality is always on-point). I usually call ahead to pick up the food or order on Ubereats, very convenient. 10/10 would recommend. :)

Service is very slow. Came in for the first time because of the review rate, but I am very disappointed. Had to ring the bell on the front counter and waited for the server. The koobideh meal portions were sad. Half a tomato (I saw full tomatoes in other photo reviews from here). Very little onion and radish salad. Meat flavor was decent, and rice was missing the butter condiment that we did not get, but another table next to us got, plus the seasoning. Won't be back.

I ordered food through the Uber Eats from this restaurant few times, and always there was something wrong with my order…this is going to be the last time. This time they sent regular rice instead of Baghalipolo with lamb shank without notifying me. If I knew they didint have Baghalipolo I wouldnt order it at all. Also the taste was too plain. Not recommended anyways

Rumi’s restaurant was a superb dining experience! The food was delicious and served with great care. We tried the Thornhill location but it is certainly worth driving to Woodbridge as well.

It was fantastic experience with variety of real high quality, tender & juicy kebobs ranging from vaziri, sultani & torsh along with ghormah sabzi. Kebobs were drizzling with butter and generous sprinkling of sumac herb created a perfect gastronomic experience. Kebobs were served with fluffly long grained rice decorated with saffron with a distinctive aroma was indeed a next level of authentic Persian eatery. Highly recommended if you really want to enjoy original Persian cuisine. The staff was great and friendly. Special thanks to Ms.Zahra for complementary crust of tahdig she offered to our table.

Their Koobideh (picture) is great. I've tried their stews as well, all well cooked and yummy!

Phenominal persian food. Always fresh and tastes great every time. Discovered this gem by a chance and have been going there ever since.

I had a kebab plate at Rumi’s. All good but the Barg kebab was excellent! I hope they keep up the good work and maintain the quality.
