Total tourist trap, in every single possible way!! We went to the place though someone that we found on the street that suggested it. At first no problem, good atmosfeer. Once we saw the menu, we thought directly that it was a tourist trap. >20 euros + 10% tax for a meal is too expensive for a place like that one. The worst came afterwards. We didn't had euros, only pesos and we thought that the conversion to euros would be the official, the same that we get from the bank : 1-120. But no, it was simply 1-240. This means that we were paying double for the dinner! Conclusion a dinner of 70 euros (8400 pesos) cost us 17000 pesos!!! On top if this, we only had 16000 pesos with us and the rest at the hotel, and they made my wife stay there as a guarantee and then I had to go back to the hotel to pick the remaining 1000 pesos! Total lack of professionalism and only scam people! Worst experience in Havana!

Go there and you'll get a great service and a delicious local food. Staff is very friendly and everything was quick and super yummy. I'm surprised about the weird reviews below... there's a lot of contradiction with what I experienced, totally different. Bad reviews are often msileading. I highly recommend this privately owned restaurant located in the middle of the Vedado district. From there you can walk to other places like the gardens of Hotel Nacional, the famous Malecon seaside promenade, the art market on Calle 23 and more...

Service was horrible. Prices were way too inflated and portions were really small for the amount of money paid. Our waitress had an attitude after we told her that our food was not prepared as advertised. We returned a dish and then she caught an attitude. Our main dish was served and the sudden dish came half hour later without an apology

It is a tourist trap. Prices are inflated, food is stale. They give kick backs to the taxi drivers that bring you there.

As good as it can get in a country ruled by dictatorship. They do well with what they can get and their service is above average.

The most romantic place I could ever have found by accident. Not only the food is spectacular, but the service; it is the most sophisticated service we have received in Havana. I have felt the need of going several times, just to enjoy everything this place has to offer. And you have to try the lobster 🦞!!

We had great service and great food. Not too sure why the other reviews are so negative. Yes, it's more expensive than other restaurants, but we expected it going in.

I have been to this restaurant three times now and have loved it every time. The service is always friendly and the food is outstanding for the price. Definitely try their cebiche!

We were brought here by our guide and it was a good choice for our first night. I had a filet and it was quite tender and cooked to order. The highlight for me was the rice & black beans. I could have ordered just that and have been good. I can see how it could be touristy but I felt comfortable and the food was tasty so I don’t really care.

Super cool atmosphere; multi-level balconies and tropical plants make you feel like you are in your own treehouse! We loved the service and the food so much we ate here two nights in a row. Just like you do in the rest of Cuba, bring pesos. Prices are very reasonable when you pay in local currency. Delicious, meaty ropa vieja either on a plate or in taco form.
